I like to think of Time as the ultimate test of musical quality. If music is still being listened to decades after it was produced it almost HAS to be high quality.... so this "sense of adoration" that you sense is really just people enjoying genuinely good music, maybe you should broaden your musical taste and you might enjoy it too, or just be a product of your generation and listen to trendy music
