Cool video. I moved to chino hills in 1982 and went to glenmeade elementary. I remember hearing something about some kids dying who lived off of bayberry that use to play in the gully which had some contaminent runoff in the stream. I also remember hearing sonic booms during p.e. time at townsend jr. high, crazy stuff.

By the way, the building surrounded by the trees off in the distance is a water reservior, not an Aerojet facility. I've walked up to it myself. Though there are buildings that look very militaristic that have a sign that says "Water Reservior" on them, one of which is located at 33º57'14.50"N and 117º45'28.30"W if you want to google earth it and check out a picture of what I'm talking about.

Aerojet took over some of the land from Heaven's Ranch and asked them to not grow crops in the soil that will be consumed by people, but they said it was okay to have livestock. I drove up that same road 2 weeks ago and saw several horses from the nearby ranch roaming around behing the fences, so the animal mutation thing isn't true. They had to replace the soil under the houses before they built Vellano Country Club, however due to their weapon testing.

these comments on this page are great. i have lived in vellano for the past 5 and a half years. The second residents to move into the entire community. I can literally see the aerojet buildings from my bedroom. I've hiked these hills and explored them more than any of you, at all hours of the day and night. I've found no bombs in my backyard, on the golf course, and no...there's no paranormal or "freaky shit", because i've tried to find it haha But I thank you all for your creative imaginations

Thanks for this very informative video! About 8 years back we went up that road at night and the cops blocked us in and impounded my boyfriend's car ,luckily none of us were arrested! I had no idea what lurked in the hills! Very scary! I wonder if the cancer rate is high around this area??

Residents tried to sue the government because when the government was "cleaning" chemicals out of the hills by digging dirt out to dump it elsewhere, the trucks went through neighborhoods with the toxic dirt. Many people starting getting thyroid cancer. Of course the residents were unsuccessful.

Mutated animals? In addition to manufacturig and testing munitions this site was also a working cattle ranch. I have seen many animals on this site including coyotes, mountain lions, numerous species of birds and reptiles, squirrles, mice and even the occasional deer.

There are no multi-storied underground building with tunnels to Barstow or anywhere else on site. So far as the signs and fences, it was a munitions facility, what would you expect to find? For F's sake, stop the rumor mill.

I read in one of the Chino Hills ad magazines that states that a bomb was found in a backyard this year. This was written by the mayor. Have you heard of this? I wonder how close it was to Aerojet. Also, back in the early to mid 80s they use to shoot at people that would get close to their facility..this would occur after hours of course.

Belive it or not it gose 16 floors underground kinda like the hive from residentevil no lie it dose! And in the last floor it conects to this tunnle that gose as far as barstow. check this out I don't know what building it is I thin 12A but it goes 16 storeis underground to a tunnle 10 by 10 that gose all the way to a factory in pomona off the 71 and mission that is closed down now but back in 1995 also build missles ther a huge place, they sold most of it off but some is still ther and abandon. Well the tunnle dosent end ther it keeps goin all the way to barstow under the mountins, I belive they whant to keep the tunnle for future use.

I drove by there today. Really interesting place. Back in the day you could walk around in there, illegally of course, but they beefed up the security in 2003 after some kids stole a bunch of weapons lol. I believe it was in building 014 or something, but I've never been in there personally.
