The Rev sounds amazing on the albums and live, it just depends on the show, and for one it was a video so sound wasnt as nearly as good as if you were there, plus the video quality wasnt that great either, I mean listen to his voice on live in the LBC he sounds amazing, or when/if u saw him live it sounded amazing, so yea just cause on some videos The Rev may not sound as good as n others, Its most likely because video quality or just cause its a video. But when actually there it sounded amazing

His beats are more complex and creative than Sullivan's (RIP) double bass work or Brandon Saller's smooth but sweet beats.
