@Deimiond Yeah i know what you mean, to me i think probably the scariest type of serial killer is the normal next door neighbour type, helpful clever and quiet. Imagine being the lodgers at Fred and Rose West's house and finding out theyd been killing people in the room below you, or that youd made good friends with someone who raped and slaughtered children in their spare time. all serial killers are sick, but i think only a handful could be classed as mentally ill. which keeps them in jail!

They don't understand the concepts of "right" and "wrong" in the same way that we do. A psychopath equates the morality of a deed with it's consequences. Ex; "What I did was wrong because I got caught." The statement "What I did was wrong because I hurt another person" is as nonsensical to a psychopath as the statement "green is a large colour" is to us.
