It is unfortunate that the girl was killed, but it was bad keeping, it was not the snakes fault. I think its wrong, that somebody who lives in the Rocky's, will not be able to buy a python out of state, because its potentially "Harmful"? to the ecosystem if it escapes? Even if my python did somehow get out of my house, it would freeze to death. This bill is so pointless.
To be honest I have been hurt by hamsters more than I have ever been hurt by my 16 ft reticulated python or any of my other pythons. I know a hamster cant kill you but its ridiculous to punish everyone for the faults of moron owners, get locking cages and actually use the locks, be safe when handling, always have a buddy when dealing with large pythons, use common sense people! Eventually our Gov. will just outlaw everything if action is not taken. Help prevent this bill from passing!
