so is it like a gas turbine so the fuel mixes with air then ingintited in the combuster chambre to turn the turbine to produce thrust

@CastleSnowflake well there is a compressor stage at the front of the engine that compresses the incoming air so it can be combusted similarly to any internal combusion engine.
