  • i would not buy this i already own an ati graphics card and have a driver problem that hopefully wont reoccur

  • This is the last video to make "removable" motherboard tray comments.

  • Is it just me or does he speed through the intro and SLOWS down to the actual graphics card specs

  • Would a 650W PSU be sufficient if I'm not running this Xfire?

    Phenom II X4 3.1GHz

    8GB DDR3

Only running 1x HDD and 1 DVD-RW as well if that makes a difference

  • @Jimbondo yes it will be. The 5770 requires a minimum of 450... ulll be fine your maximum look is most likely 500watts... youll be fine

  • your card is running pretty warm.

  • does the HIS H577FK1GD Radeon HD 5770 work on the motherboard ASUS M4A89GTD PRO/USB3

  • @physco479 it will work

  • zomg i ought this card its so good holy shit buy it its amazing :OOO

  • If i run that baby with a twin through crossfire + a Phenom II x2 at stock ghz what wattage should i go for when i buy a power supply. I think 650 will be enough but better safe than sorry.

  • @5that1dude5 With a good power supply brand that is certified u can run then in CF with just 450w fine.

  • @5that1dude5 id go 700 watts

  • @marlo1204: Wich is completely overkill

  • You clearly fail, I'm sure you know who you are and so does everyone else.

  • NEED HELP!!!! BEFORE LIKE 4 HOURS AGO I HAD 7,4 IN GRAPHIC AND 3D GRAPHIC BUT NOW I UPGRADED MY GRAPHIC CARD NOW I GOT 6,9 why!!?!??!?HELP!!

  • @misterhoobomaster it was a downgrade? what cards were they?

  • @FragOutxX THIS CARD HIS RADEON HD 5770

  • @misterhoobomaster you didnt answer my question. what was the card you were replacing?

  • @FragOutxX i had no card before its my first card?

  • @misterhoobomaster so your saying you went from an integrated chipset to a 5770 and your performance went down? did you install the correct drivers?

  • @FragOutxX Wtf are you talking about ?? Im SAYING THAT MY OWN BUILD DESKTOP THAT I UPGRADED IT IN THE WINDOWS INDEX AND IT WENT DOWN from 7,4 TO 6,9 on graphic IF YOU GIVE ME ONE MORE RETARDED ANSWER FUCK YOU !

  • @misterhoobomaster look i am just trying to help. can you please tell me exactly what you did without caps lock and please use proper grammar.

  • @FragOutxX Ok step one=i went in to windows index you come in there by going in on hardrive then system information and then my CPU was 7,3 ram 7,4 graphic ,graphic gaming was on 7,4

step two=it sayed it was a update so yh i updated it and then the graphic that was 7,4 went down to 6,9 >:(

    step3 =Im pissed off WTF

    step 4=not mad anymore

step 5= but i realy wanna know why!

and my graphic card is a HIS radeon hd 5770

  • @misterhoobomaster Wow. Uh. I have never seen this happen. 1. Check if there is a driver update from the AMD/ATI website. 2. If that doesnt work.... Google. A lot.

Really that is all i can tell you. I have only seen scores go up after updates...

  • @FragOutxX How do i know if i have the latest drivers? I mean ive been to the website and its alot to download but i went on steam and found the latest drivers and now i got the latest drivers (ACCORDING TO STEAM) D:

  • @misterhoobomaster you probably have the latest drivers. Windows Experience Index is never very accurate and should only be used as a general system specifications page. The only way to really test your systems performance is through benchmarks and everyday use. I reccomend 3Dmark06 for a benchmark as a 5770 would most likely not do very well on 3DMark Vantage. you can download 3Dmark06 for free but the full version costs money.

  • @misterhoobomaster Cause 580's came out and 6970's are comming out so the range is larger, I'm just guessing

  • @misterhoobomaster Forgot to mention that my 5770 went down to 6.9 too

  • @yeerk22 now it went down to 6.0 lol

  • why are some red, and some blue?

  • i just bought it,works excelent

  • hmm. I cannot decide which brand 5770 to get. this appears to be the best one cause it doesn't have the giant black cover that wraps around it so i'd assume it runs couler.

  • @phatmonk6195 get a vapor-x 1

  • what is the program that he adjusts the fan speeds at?

  • I have the same card (bought it today) and it is awsome. But I dont get Dirt 2 :O

  • @VlogMaster100 you run crysis good?

  • @misterhoobomaster Yes. It runs with 40 to 50 fps. On Enthusiast settings by the way : D. The resolution is 1600 x 1200

  • @VlogMaster100 :D You think il run it with that fps?All maxed Amd phenom 955 II X4 3,2ghz BE ,4gb kingston ram,And HIS radeon hd 5770 oh and my max resoulotion is 1490-1289 or something like that xD

  • @misterhoobomaster Yes you can run it on the max settings. My Friend has the same specs as you and it runs very smooth on his system.

  • @VlogMaster100 :D:D:D:D:D:D:DD:DD:DD:D:Now i love you :DDD xD

  • @VlogMaster100 including AA ?? D:

  • @misterhoobomaster yea but not 16 ; )

  • @VlogMaster100 like 4 or 8? 2??+

  • @misterhoobomaster 4. Dont forget that the Hd5770 is a budget card. If you want to use 8 or 16 try to get a 5870 or the new Nvidia cards ; )

  • @VlogMaster100 yh i know :P but your friend plays in dx11?

  • @misterhoobomaster Yes. It has enough performance for dx11. Dirt 2 and bfbc2 runs really smooth on dx11

  • @VlogMaster100 its actualy not a budget card yh its cheap but for its awesomes it should cost more

  • @VlogMaster100 :) im thinking of doin it crossfire =D

  • @misterhoobomaster Damn dude we are spamming the Video. Write me a pm : D

  • i got the xfx single slot version of this card.

  • Can anyone help me with this, newegg has this card listed as a pci-e 2.0 but in this review and in other sites it's listed as a pci-e 2.1 my motherboard has a 2.0 slot and I know this card will fit and work but will I experience performance loss? Or will all the specifications work correctly like the core speed or will I be limeting this card? ANY HELP WILL BE APPRECIATED THANX looking to purchase this card or the sapphire version.

  • the directx 10 vs 11 picture aint improved.. ? directx10 pic looks better imo..?_?

  • @ReNameMe Look at the sky, the guy's mask, then his armor.

  • i really really need to know how well the sapphire vapor x 5770 doing...can u pls make a review

  • 3DGAMEMAN whats the difference between the his 5770 and the XFX 5770?

  • Hello 3DGameMan, i love your reviews. Great work, especially with videocards.

Can you please post a videoreview of MSI HAWK 5770 ? Is it possible ?

I want to hear about it in your interpritation.

    Thank you very much.

  • Please do a review of HIS ATI Radeon HD5770 IceQ 5 Turbo haven't seen any thanks :) from Australia

  • I am totally loving this graphic card, as far as taking the plastic off, i don't think its necessary if you crank up the fan speed with Msi afterburner, have good air flow, and maybe add a small slot fan on the bottom? i got my fan cranked up to 100 percent when im gaming..so far its performing great.

  • Great review as usual , buddies and I talk about your reviews every day in class [ computer science student ]. keep it up man

  • 9999 views lol

  • I like this guys face, it intrigues me

  • should i take the plastic cap off for better cooling?

  • @GunSotsOverMe defo take the plastic off and let a side panel fan blow towards the card :) oh yea get some Arctic silver 5 thermal paste for good temp drops :)

  • This or MSI HAWK edition if HAWK is $20 US more expensive?

  • Getting this card next friday :D

  • wow haha this video was posted on my birthday! :D

  • Does this card require extra power?

  • Comment removed

  • I just bought one of these bad boys for $AUS 167 :)

  • Rodney, I love your videos! I appreciate the fact that you pump them out so frequently, and I aspire for my videos to one day be as popular as yours! Slim chance, but if you could check out my channel in return, I'd appreciate it quite a lot! :D Anyways, keep the good stuff coming!

  • I bought this card, and it's a good no problems, I only had 1 problem with the setting the resolution for my 1080dp montior and had to use the rescale option in CCC , Overclocked to 1030/1230 @1.3v replaced the thermal paste and taken the black cover off max load is 73c. 50-30FPS 4x 16x 1680 x 1080 res BFBC2 on a Q6600 3.7Ghz 6GB mem 10.3b drivers

  • @Darkevil83 How on earth did you change the voltage? I thought its impossible on the new blue pcb design :O

  • @GunSotsOverMe does it make a difference? My PCB is blue, i used MSi Afterburner to unlock the voltage.

    current summer OC settings :)

    1.274v

    985core

    1237mem

  • i am trying to find a get an opinion on this product but FCUKING daddy's GIMPS come here and say "ITS'S BAD" IT's THIS AND IT's THIS ! while no real reasons or explanation why ! fcuking Socially Impaired 16 year old twits , shut the fcuk up ! SHUT THE FCUK UP ! Say something makes sense or SHUT THE FCUK UP !

  • where can i guy this card with this heatsink? could not find it anywhere, even on your site...

  • @Bewareomef Try newegg..just saw it on there.

  • Comment removed

  • How come you keep re-uploading your videos?

  • can I still use the video card on a 350 watt power supply for my Dell Studio XPS 8100. I am confused about this because I know it is not enough power but Dell still sells it with this computer as one of the final upgrades.

  • u need at least 450 watt psu

  • i have a 450W psu that i got when i bought my case ( no pci-E pin) will it handle the card with the adapter with no problem??... if not what cheap* psu is recommended??

  • @Crawl81 on the Nvidia website, they recommend not to use any adapters if possible. So for ATI it should be the same.

  • And also this does not sound like an endorsement AT ALL..

  • This version sucks, the cooler is stupid. The standard cooler that every company uses is MUCH MUCH better.

  • whats the difference between this card and the old 5770's?? it looks like the same thing over and over again with new cases...

  • The difference in this card is the cooler. It is better than the othe original 5770's which run alot hotter than this one.

I have got this version and it's great. It's got the same fastness as the ATI 4890. For this who want too look it up

  • hm, didn't understand a word. but its kool

  • This things a beast

  • waiwaiwaiwait wait WAIT A MINUTE!...did he just say this card has physX? 2:38

  • physics not physX

  • @ShinGaming And i think PhysX is n ot that good, because the FPS can drop to half of the average, when theres much Physics in the Game, and so you´ll have to buy a highend to use PhysX good^^

  • @BoFo1o0 Physics are very common. nVidia just calls it "PhysX".

  • What's the big deal? My card has physx and it is pretty useless

  • @StanK27 its not useless...its worthless :P, i just care about Cuda, very important

  • You've done 2 other 5770 reviews Rodney, what are the differences between all three? And why are you reviewing the same products...

  • @ilaugh7290 cooler and prices

  • @4ourTimber hey thanks mate i actually made my decision a few hours ago and it's got to be this beast, tho it is 30-40 pound's more (XFX) it's worth it, it has double the memory clock to the GTS 250 and as you say it is dx11 wich i 4got about lol thanks for the reminder mate ;)

  • nice review, I might get one of these =)

I would get 2 but I have an nForce SLI motherboard(2 way) =/

  • only great?!?! :O

  • how does a 5770 compare with a 4850? does a 4870 compare better with a 5770?

  • This is my next videocard, 20€ cheaper than other ones

  • What's the difference between this card and the card in review number 1101? Just the cooler?

  • is or would it be possible to make GDDR5 for system memory ? because you get the higher bandwidth

  • The heatsink doesn't come in contact of the Video Card Ram switch is a bad thing for gamers that would want to play for long periods of time. Always look for a video card that the heatsink comes in contact with Both GPU and Video Card Ram.

  • ps. thats with video card fan at 50% and all my case fans on low

  • I've got this card :), im getting 34c idle and 45 max full load in a stock antec 1200

  • Nice looking card, and nice shirt dude.

  • Could someone sponsor me a new videocard? One that is atleast better then my Nvidia 7600GT -_-

  • Picking up this card withn the next few weeks, thanks for the review.

  • I have two of these in Crossfire, and there xfire performance ratio is brilliant. perform better than a 5870 by a significant amount. I have the special Asus O/Cd version with huge fans. can barely fit in my soundcard, but they are excellent in xfire :) id recommend them.

  • Not loud! Great card but i will get the blower style fan edition!

  • If only the review had been on the 5770 hawk instead :(.

  • 3DGAMEMAN, hello.

When will GeForce corresponding to DirectX 11 appear?

  • Well dude...

Just wait till you get old :)

  • my 9800gtx sli is better :S

  • hmm why are your GPU Clock shows 400 Mhz when your minimum Overdrive Clock speed is 600 Mhz ?......

  • hmm why are your GPU Clock shows 400 Mhz when your minimum Overdrive Clock speed is 600 Mhz ?

  • can somone help me ? im stuck between the GTS 250 and HD 5770 please no fan boy ! i just want a truthful answer and or ups and downs of each card =)

  • HD5770!!!

    Its more future proof

    Supports DX11

HD5770 is like GTX260 but with better anti-aliasing and slightly higher frame rates

  • GTX 260 wins in most games without AA .... only by a few frames though, so id go with a the 5770

  • I see it as a crossfire card cause it just take 1 expansion slot so you can finally crossfire 4 5770 in a 7 enxpansion slot case ^^ super!

  • nice haircut

  • nice haircut rodney

  • same thing over and over again, only with different name... ughh -.-

  • 5770, but are you gonna buy doe?

  • You should do a review for the Sapphire 5850 toxic edition. Got it this month, and it's amazing!

  • I waiting for the 2nm technology power by watch battery

  • Could I use this on a 450watt PSU?

  • The DX11 part was the same thing said for DX10 3 years ago o_O

  • It would be nice to see some Stalker Call of Pripyat benchmarks for the Directx 11 performance.

  • Haha, I just got the exact same card for 179 aud, runs smooth.

  • its the egg cooler with a cover so (shit!)

    no memory cooling >:(

  • Hey Rod, Where can we buy what you sell?

  • lol in that picture dx10 looks better than dx11 lol

  • 5770 sucks as Rodney indicates with this 'great' rating, the lowest rating.

  • @Smood47 he has given a good before so it isnt too bad

  • @suppersoccerjock Oh really, damn ok sorry. But still its pretty bad, as is this card. I feel sorry for people who buy it.

  • Does the base contact matter if you're not overclocking?

  • YYEEAAA i have two of these cards!!!

  • thats loud!

  • The cooler is better than on the 'original' design (#1101; watch?v=WrLh4BUOhG8), but it is not really better than the first 'own' cooler of HIS (#1119; watch?v=KiqDt1dfhn8).

@ 0:45: The image video as well as the unboxing video are private now, but if I'm right the box said that is a PCIe 2.0 interface

Overall again a great review but I don't get why there is only one crossfire connection (compared to #1101 there were two) and what specifications differe this card from #1119.

  • Looks shitter if you ask me because theres nothing cooling the vram

  • i like how the plastic shroud hides the fact that the heatsink is miniscule.

  • Unless you get a specific version (like MSI Hawk or Asus) the core clock is restricted to 950Ghz (I learnt this the hard way) but 100Ghz OC is good enough I guess. The mem i have at 1450

  • rod do you think you'll ever include more game for the benchmarks in future reviews?

  • @aplayaz2000 Usually the most GFX demanding games are used for benchmarks, so, if they run good, then other less GFX intense games should run even better.

  • @CJCA915 yes but all games are different and provide different results

  • @aplayaz2000 True, but if the card can do well in the most intense of games, they will most likely run well, depending on the game, like MS FSX is based on CPU, so a GPU isn't really gonna give accurate results, but games that are heavily based on GFX power, can.

  • any chance the gtx 300 series will come this month or the next?

  • @lourke123 never , actually . nvidia skipped the 300 series . the 480 is next month . might change tho .

  • what! thats kinda like skipping 2 if you count 1 to 3

  • @lourke123 makes no sence, but its just a name change, its still the GF100 GPU i believe

  • @Hikayuhuy The GeForce 310 was released on November 27, 2009. The GeForce 300 series which are re-brands of the lower to mid-range video cards from the GeForce 200 series, available only in OEM.

Nvidia has announced that the GeForce GTX 470 and GTX 480 would be the first cards based on the new Fermi architecture. These cards will also be the first to support DirectX 11 in the Nvidia ranges of graphic cards.

  • @CJCA915 way to confuse the consumer , nvidia .

oh wait ... nvidia has been doing that ever since the 9xxx series .

  • @Hikayuhuy Well, with the new 400 series, they will be truly new cards, not re-brands, lol.

  • @Hikayuhuy Actually never been confused, with Nvidia like ATI, higher the number in the series, the better, 9800 versus a 9400, and so on, same with ATI.

  • @CJCA915 well then you're just not knowing enough . like how the Gt240 is the exact 9800GT . or the 9800GT is the almost exact 8800GT . the 9600GT , 9400 . i dont remember all of them , but i just find nvidia to be doing it a lot .

  • @Hikayuhuy Yes, they are basically the same, except for a few increases, and even may not be a increase in performance, from a Core Clock or something, they could be better in power savings, etc. All new cards have some change to them.

Well, I have an 8800GT and I love it, my friend has one to, and he said he loves it, and don't plan on upgrading anytime soon, personally, I am not an ATI person, I hear, Nvidia always has slightly better performance, especially in Flight Simulator.

  • @Hikayuhuy I would agree, I have had ATI cards before, and used their comparable Nvidia counterparts, and I see slighty better performance, like Crysis, when it first came out, was best on Nvidia, since that's who Crytek partnered with on the development of the game.

  • I heard there was a GTX 475 aswell =)

  • @Hikayuhuy The company announced the release of the GeForce GT 320, GT 330 and GT 340, available to OEMs only. The Geforce GT 340 is simply a rebadged GT 240, sharing exactly the same specifications, while the GT 320 and 330 are new cards (albeit still based on the previous generation GT200b architecture).

  • actually "fermin" will not as good as nvidia says

  • The GTX4XX is First

  • unless 3DGAMEMAN starts reviewing laptops, nope.

  • i THINk that they just skipped the 300 series and the 400 series are gonna be the dx11ones so the 300 series might be different

  • @hypercam258 Is the gtx 295 dx10?

  • @hypercam258

the 300s will be the mobile line of video cards iirc

  • @lourke123

There will be no 300 series as far as I know. But they are releasing the 400 series which are supposed to release at the end of the month with the GTX 470 and GTX 480.

  • @lourke123 gtx 480 + 470 release date on march 26nd 2010. Should have some availability on the 29th.

  • the gt-300 serie have been out for about two month and the gt-300 is only out on low profile cards

and that why Nvidia have created the GTX 470 and GTX 480

  • yeah and the 480gtx will be well over 600+ maybe well over 700... and will perform at the same pace as a 5870, which can be bought as low as 380!!

  • i heard nvidia's first dx11 gpus are going to be budget and not even perform as well as a 5770

  • @lourke123 the 300 will never come? imnot sure they said that they where going to make 400 seriesr instead. but i dont care dont like nvidia

  • HAHAHA

  • @lourke123 Nvidia has done the infamous rebranding trick again, so the GTX 300 series will be only OEM and are basically the same as GTX 200 series but with DX10.1 support. The new DX11 cards, GTX 480 and 470, will be released on March 26th and mass availibility will be on 6th of April.

  • You mean gtx 400 series. The 300 series is for workstations and the 400 series is released in stores march 26th

  • @zomfger hmmm.isnt 300 series for laptops?

  • 26th mars, and they will be the gtx 400 series...

    don't ask me why...

  • @lourke123 it is the gtx 400 series...26th march
