That seriously scared the shit out of me. I was walking to school alone when the earthquake hit

I'm very sorry but I lived in boulder when the quake hit, for all those making comments who weren't there the house on fire exploded as we drove past and yes you idiots that house was on fire the day of the quake, unless you where there keep your comments to yourself think about all those who have lost there business homes and jobs because of the quake, think hard before you comment. Boulder resident.

And my house in Boulder is one of the 500 or so to make a Ins claim. Looks like I will at least loose my three chimneys and depending on the engineers report and builders quotes the house may have to be demolished.

omzigotte....this did happen about an hour or so after the quake, I know this cas I'm married to the daughter of the people that used to own that house! It's in davis st, boulder, and the cause of the fire was a gas leak.

About 2/3 through this clip is footage of a house fire...THIS DID NOT HAPPEN IN THE EARTHQUAKE...the fire was about 15 months ago in Kalgoorlie N OT Boulder and started in the air con unit on the roof....talk about getting some spin by the news broadcasters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!­!!!

Are you sure? They had a photo of the exact same house shown in this video on page 7 of The West Australian newspaper. So that's 2 news sources that got it wrong, eh?

@TheSmacca I didn't C the pic in paper but it is hard to say for certain, so many houses in KBC that look alike & I witnessed a house fire in the early 2009 in Kal & this house looks very much like that one. I do stand to be corrected if there is a reliable source. So at this stage yep I reckon 2 sources got it wrong esp when you search for a news story online you can easily see that most news services seeminly get the same feeds &use the same info, 1 wrong/right..all wrong/right

@omzigotte check your facts before commenting , the fire did indeed happen around hour and a half after the earthquake , it was a house on Davis st.
