I was looking at the picture on the screen thinking to myself that once i got outa treatment i could just smoke weed or do whatever.. I thought when i could get high again i would be happy again.A year later and im worse off. The number of carcinogens found in the smoke negate any possible benefit you would get inhaling it. And they do NOT work as a preventative. @MPRO147 Cannabis could only be claimed to have anti-carcinogenic effects if you were to extract ONLY the anti carcinogenic agents (THC/CBD) and then inject them into tissue. The number of carcinogens found in the smoke negate any possible benefit you would get inhaling it. And they do NOT work as a preventative. Don't go around saying smoking weed will prevent cancer because it's wrong. You might as well say eating double whoppers will make you a muscly because they have protein in them.

@peterscoop its all about your intentions. Weed is not a stimulant nor is it a depressant. Many people claim it has a psychedelic effect. The meaning of psychedelic says it all. It allows you to see things from a different perspective. The possibilities are endless (only limited by imagination), from being lazy/unproductive, to gaining knew understandings about the universe or society or most importantly yourself. But your right, its all about using your childish imagination!

@danbadd Lol, it all depends on the source of your information. My college psychology teacher told us weed is a hallucinogen, neither a stimulant or depressant. IDK how you could say it doesn't have benefits vs cancer, medicine and individual reactions to medicine is very complicated and unique. But, to simplify things, think about how the placebo effect works... If you believe your being healed, you become healed... If its physical or placebo who cares. Respect science w/ an open mind!

There are plenty of benefits to smoking cannabis and his has many medicinal properties, but I won't sit idly by while people make things up and mislead others. And it all depends on my source of information? My source is science. In small doses cannabis increases the heart rate and in large doses it slows the heart rate. Same as alcohol. And yes in large doses it can have hallucinogenic effects.

@danbadd open ur mind. Ur using science? Your evidence to weed being a stimulant is an increase and decrease in heart rate. Is that in every single user, every single time? Or does it effect everyone in a large variety of ways? If you had expectations that it was a stimulant, would u be more likely to feel effects of a stimulant? Placebo... Science is very complicated. Generally it does not understand consciousness, as well as it claims to. I wouldn't of seen it if i didn't believe it.

@danbadd I would rather not argue. IDK how weed should be classified. But it really would depend on the source of information. Do the research there are a variety of answers. I agree, people shouldn't be mislead into believe weed will always prevent cancer. My main point is, that everyone experiences reality differently. A big factor in how things effect you, is how you expect them to effect you. The Placebo effect is real. Wat about quantum physics for science... we create reality.....

@danbadd Its impossible to speak in absolutes. We can only use probabilities. Study a little quantum physics, like the double slit experiment (or watch "what the bleep do we know"). The truth is stranger than fiction man. I do believe we create what we perceive, to a large extent. Not physically, but mentally. Being an optimist or a pessimist is a basic example. both can have the same experience, and different reactions. Therefore their perception altered their experience.

@peterscoop Ive had many great moments of insight after blazing. Great ideas and new perspective on what is important in life. Its not about getting a good job and being popular and having nice things or external accomplishments. Its all about intentions and understanding. The more you understand the more amazing and joyful life is. But its crazy for one to think weed will give them this insight. It just gives perspective in this fast pace world. meditation is the key to it all.

Its to hard to generalize things and say they are good or bad for everyone. Everyones unique, they grew up in a specific environment that cant be compared exactly to anyone else. The type of moderation varies with the specific item and individual. Its possible that doing meth in a small enough moderation of maybe 1time in your life, could have positive effects. We learn more from our failures than our successes. Your beliefs influence your reality. So choose them wisely

ok, I was wrong. Weed isn't overrated... The weed I was smoking was overrated. I got some lemon g strain right now and it's had my mind right where it needs to be. If I could smoke all day for free I probably would smoke like everyday but a couple of weeks in the entire year.

yo, weed is really overrated. I've smoked dank, kind bud everyday, save for like a week, in the last 4 months. If there is a bigger pothead than me, I don't know who they are.
I've noticed that I feel a lot better and even think deeper while I'm sober.
the only thing that makes weed really good is when you get high like you did when you first started smoking. Those highs are the best. but after smoking for as long as I have, you don't get those feelings very often

@MrRahtin Ya like i said earlier, its different for everyone. if u dont smoke alot and have low tolerance 2 hits of some dank shit can get u as high as u gunna get pretty much. if u got high tolerance u need more. either way u really cant smoke to much and "never come back". but instead u just raise your tolerance by smokin too much and then need more to feel the same. so ya smoke less at a time and less often and when u do smoke ull get higher.
