i got this laptop am still using this laptop now is 5 years i highly recommend it. it is all metal not plastic it has hit the floor many times but still working. i have no problem with this laptop get this laptop if you want long lastin personal laptop

This is the worst laptop I have ever owned. It has less that 50 hours and has had a mother boart replace which worked for 2 days and now Im sending it back tomorrow. I will nere buy gateway again.

I have the same exact laptop and mine came with 320 GB Hard drive, 3 GB DDR2, and it has 1.73GHz....and it wasn't refurbished and i got it for 635$ USD at Walmart

I have the p-7805u fx. It will prolly be my last gateway unless I can find drivers for it... For some odd reason, gateway did not want to provide users with a way to use this machine to it's full potential. Maybe due to the fact that geek squad is not getting much business from the common user, (such as myself), due to the fact that most of us know enough to keep are systems running by are selves.

I have windows XP media center version WAYY BETTER than vista version.

this laptop is great. unfortunately i broke the charging cable - breaks easily. and some of the paint near the mouse pad rubbed off but overall Excellent PC

I have an equal but I could not install xp, but when he got drivers appears bootscreen of xp, makes me an error and it restarts.I speak spanish.

no pudiste instalar xp porke necesitas los drivers para un sata disc drive... yo lo intente y lo consegui pero despues de rato usando xp que la vdd no hubo mucha diferencia, me paso algo raro y se chingo el sistema operativo y tuve que regresar a vista...

No not everyone does. But some people are travellers and can't stay in 1 spot. So if they enjoy gaming they can still enjoy on the good with portable power. If you think there is no market for gaming laptops then companies like Sager, Clevo, Alienware would be out of business (not to mention Dell XPS series).

I bought this laptop back in October, very happy with everything about it. Only problem is the hinge cracked after a few months, so I have to be very careful not to snap the cable when I open or close it.

I got a Gateway laptop specs are 15.4 screen 1.6ghz 533mhz fsb intel core duo processor 1mb chache 160 gb hard drive 1gb ram<<-sucks cause 2 512 sticks but i can upgrade to 2gb ram using pc2 5300 for like 60 dollars os vista home prem. its a good laptop had it for 7 months now no probs it was $550

I have never had issues with Gateways hardware-wise. Software related problems... sure but that's Microsoft's fault.
