Oh and if you go with the director idea, perhaps you could have one or two underdog directors. Some that aren't well known, but show great potential. That way you maintain your watchability with the "star" directors and you have an unknown factor to shake things up a bit.

Also, does your wife know that you're telling your subscribers that you're offering up their non-existent weekend home to a bunch of strangers? I think you should have made it more clear that it wasn't written in stone, unless you were just using that as a hook to hold onto some subscribers. The idea seems nice when you're up there, I'm sure; but in a few months when the bills pile up it won't seem like such a realistic idea after all. No hate intended, just calling it as I see it.

I think it's a cute idea but not realistic. Do you know how much cottages go for in Northern Ontario? Even a cottage a quarter the size of that would be $500,000 minimum. If you want road access that's another couple hundred thousand, also, since most roads are private in the muskoka area, the taxes are outrageous. I'm not talking out of my ass, my parents own a cottage and it is a life investment, just saying man. Dont expect to get anything even remotely great for less than $700,000-800,000

@laffstock4 He has tons of money from his own channel... he SHOULD donate money to a charities... he has 1500000 subscribers and he gets at least a million views and 40k + likes on every video.

Check out the Yogscast, they already donated about 25 - 30k Pounds towards a charity (of course with the help of their subscribers) which I think is really nice of them since they get a lot of views too. And those guys are really cool and funny :) . This is the ONLY TIME WHEN I ASK FOR THUMBS UP.

@AncNoob Yogscast is different though. Yogscast doesn't have to pay $1,000's worth of guns for every episode (some are worth up to millions). I'm sure FPSRussia uses the money from YouTube and his own money's (wherever he gets it from) to get the guns.
