7 people disliked this ? WHAT! are you serious ? this must be a joke.. How can someone dislike this singer or this song.. Wish, Youtube deleted that dislike buttton.. because this is one gold of a song...
With all due respect, Jagjit Singh had a very drab voice. Ghazals should be sung with emotion, a quality he clearly lacked. His voice is just too monotonous!
This music is so incredibly intricate and rich, I can't think of any current Western form of music that could compare to it...maybe some ambient, electronica music like Boards of Canada or Aphex Twin. But I'd say Western contemporary music in general is severely lacking in depth, emotion and maturity...the primary characteristics of classic Indian music. It's a shame that so much of current Indian music is trying to adopt a Western style. I wish they knew better.
I still dont believe that Jagjit Singh is no more. I cant stop myself crying. I really had the wish to attend his next concert in Hollanad. His voice is will always be alive among all his fans. RIP
May peace be upon his soul and to Chitra ji's heart =( That woman went through a lot of pain of losing all her children...hope she finds the courage to survive after Jagjit Ji's demise
By the way on the day he suffered from Brain Haemorrhage, he and Ghulam Ali sahib were supposed to perform together in a concert in Mumbai. They had given a concert a few days back in Delhi.
simply great singer. In pakistan he will be remembered for many centuries. People will love him and his work . For indian industry it is huge loss for you. MAy Allah take care of Mehndi hassan of Pakistan.
it all started with this gazal........who knew that this man will rule the world of gazals and will truly become GAZALJEET SINGH as Gulzar Sahab calls him...........
