@outatime1955 no. Brad was inside. when the wife threw in her phone, the virus got in. with no clean air to cuculate thru the house (it was sealed up) the virus replicated and became much more fatal then before. the wife survived because she was out in the open with air to circulate through her lungs and the virus couldnt work correctly. in a hermetically sealed house, the air became deadly. the hazmat team had to gas him cuz he would have died anyways.
@agenthelios1 no it aint. think more about the shit with Korea. they got fuckin nukes. if the radiation from Japan got to the US at all, it wouldnt even be enough to give you cancer.
@HammerNHook Hey genius it aready reached the US (and that was just radiation from the first blast) also you must not understand the extent of radioactive isotopes once you breathe them in or ingest them. They may not give you cancer that day , but in 20 or so years when the population sees and increase in cancer occurence they will say "I wonder why this is" ....and no one will remember and say "remember Fukushima 20 years ago"
Peoples attention span is so bad they cant remember last 2 weeks
the husband would have benn ok and so would his wife if she dint brake the glass open. by her hand touching the cloth and being inside a hot humid enviroment it will grow... basicly she killed her husband
They had no choice... They explained that the humidity inside the house caused the toxins on the cell phone to grow and mutate into a superstrand. So basically we don't know what affect that would have on someone, (I'm not a biologist, I don't know if any of you are). They said that the damage was irreversable and that the husband was infected so they had to neutralize him.
Actually, normal bombs are made of an explosive compress of many things, "dirty" bombs are laced with a toxin, designed to explode, AND ensure death... The more you know :D
i havent seen it, but i just read the ending... CRAAAAAP, but nothing more stinky than "The mist" THATS THE BIGGEST PIECE OF SHIT I EVER SEEN (i mention this cause the end is also fuckin stupid).
a rating of 3 is generous! HA HA HA! what a waste of time. I thought some crazy shit was going to be revealed like government conspiracy, or some shit between the man and his wife, but nothing ever happened. LAME!
This is an excellent movie. A brilliant story-telling and character development. The fear is pulled up from just the below the surface of everyday life when you try to imagine how you would handle this situation. It leaves you affected long after the credits roll.
ok, i diont get it. what happedn to his house? what happened to the air in it and how?, hat happend to everyone outside?, his wife? howd the bombs get off who did it? all this mmovie did was make me feel really fucking confused.
i would put it at about a 5. its not that manufactured fear that movies such as The Ring, or Saw give you, but this is TRUE fear where you're scared for the characters and how they will survive
trailers are supposed to leave you with questions so you'll watch the movie. i've seen this and i actually really liked it. it's not for people who can't stand a movie without hard core graphics, but it's got a really neat story and a great ending.
great suspense movie. Basically what happened is his bitch wife through the cell phone that had the toxins all over it inside the house. Since the house was sealed completely off, the toxins were able to basically "infect" him to a very severe level much worse than being outside, in a more open space.
@jermin8tor yeah but 28 is about a virus that causes a societal breakdown. this is a chemical weapon that scares the shit out of everyone but barely does anything.
Guy desperate for shag seeks other half - otherwise brilliant moving and heart churning film. Make time to watch this properly.

But aren't you tired of the cliche happy ending?
Plus how often do situations like that have happy endings? Hiroshima, The London Bombings, 9/11...

nothing jumps out and scares you, but the idea of a dirty bomb going off in a major city is horrific. i give it a 3
