Bull SHIT about frequency! come to the cub where one of the best stereo system in the world, and you will be surpriced if you check that massive JBL speaker frequncy, it doesn't matter, when looking at frequency you should look at other things with them speakers, all things must work together then you will get a quality.

I agree my acs48's are hanging on for dear life. They crackle occationally and I know the end is near. Even the newer altec lansing don't sound a good as the 12 year old model.

I'd rather get an amp, or home theater receiver and bookshelf's than anything made by creative or logitech. To be honest sound quality from "pc speakers" are no where near what you can get with home components. There only good for low budgets.
