Yup. Agreed, we didn't get summers for the past 2 (3) years! (If you want to be picky say 3, cause for me it seemed like 3 cool summers in a row..but obviously none as cold, rainy, and windy as last summer).
But on the other hand, this winter has been bearable, which is a nice change...and finally dry! (I say bearable because let's face it, winter is still winter, lol).

The last Interglacial, the Eemian, was about 5 degrees warmer then now. 125,000 years ago. Our ancestors survived, and so did the coral reefs and Polar Bears. Tree lines were about 350 miles further north. Pretty well an ice free Arctic Ocean.
Global Warming is nothing new. Just be glad it isn't Global Cooling. Then you would really have a serious problem. Imagine mile thick ice scraping cities from the face of the Earth and almost no crops growing at all. Mass starvation on a level never seen.
