Try to get the bird to sit on your finger when it first wakes up. If the bird is sleeping wake it by talking to it and immediately put your finger up to it's belly. It will be sleepy and will step onto your finger.

I added to the video description to explain what I do to tame a bird when I first bring it home. If you had your bird for a while move it to a different room and take advantage of the fact that you are forcing the bird to get comfortable with new surroundings, so that it gets comfortable with you too. If you spend as much time as possible handling the bird you'll have a good little friend that feels as comfortable with you as it does its own cage.

Please Please Please help me...I feel like i have tried everything but fast my bird...I got her from an outdoor avairy, She was about a year when i got her and I have had her for almost 2 months and she hasnt really tamed down at all...how do you do it? Any advice would be appreciated.

I sent you the same letter I send to other people. Within an hour you should be able to begin to tame your bird. If you want a tame bird you need to be willing to spend time with it every day. The 2 birds in this video were tame but the caretakers didn't continue working with the birds and they are no longer tame. I want to make a video re-taming these birds. The yellow bird in my other videos hangs out with me when ever I'm home and sits on my shoulder and I can take it outside.

hiya i have a 3yr old female albino parakeet that i've had for 5 months now it was kept outside in a small caged and used to breed untill i rescued her! but she is realy untame i've tried allsorts but nothing works could you please let me know your secret thanks hayley

Hey... the birds are doing good. I got another bird so now there are 3. I'll make a video later.

I was letting the birds stay outside of the cage, but the white bird was missing when we woke up one day. We found her in the basement. (I think the little dog chased her down there.)All is good!

Thanks Kat.The dogs are afraid of them if they are out of the cage. They turn their heads and won't even look at the birds. lol. The birds are not afraid of the dogs at all.

We thought the blue was a boy and the white a girl, because of the color above their beaks. The blue bird has a purple color and the white bird has a tan color.

I think you need to get a little bird. It took about 1 hour of handling each bird to get them so that they will go onto my hand and sit calmly. They both would bite me at first, but now we are all friends :)
