Just because you listen to "your" music doesnt make you better or more "bad ass" than any other person. Each different type of music has its own different skill to it. Whether its playing melodic, rhythmic, or just fast.

Before I say this know that I respect rap as an art form. But it's not music. It's poetry in meter. Essentially if you are a rapper, than you do have SOME musical talents in understanding the rhythm and tone of music. So I doubt any wannabe rappers would fail at performing "music" you see as talent.

To be honest I think mainstream rap/hip-hop is probably why so many people hate rap. I don't listen to it, but from most of what I hear is just talking about drugs or whores. I've rarely heard songs that actually have meaning (since rap is mostly based on the lyrics).
