Worshipping Mary, the Mother of God, is a total misunderstood by the Protestants. It is through Mary's intercession that we pray to Jesus to ask for the grace of God. Why Catholics do that? Because Jesus is Her beloved son, and through the Holy Spirit that Mary had given birth to her Son, the Savior who came to redeem the sins of the world. On Her apparition to St. Benedict, She said " I am the Immaculate Conception". That says it all.

Mon ami, all heretics think they teach the truth, but as St. Augustine so wisely commented, that's such an absurd proposition, that how can any sect actually believe that? Accept the fact, the Catholic Church is the one true religion, outside of which there is no salvation. Get on board with the program! It'll open a wider vista than you could ever fathom. It takes but a leap of faith, but what you'll find on the other side, will open up the gates of heaven itself. God bless, always!

The children gather wood, the fathers light the fire, and the women knead the dough and make cakes of bread for the Queen of Heaven. They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke me to anger." (Jer 7:17-18). Those verses are eerily reminiscent of the Roman Catholic service.
@kiwichristian2009 She is not a Goddess , so that's definitely a mistake on your part. And she's not a rival to Jesus but a co worker in his salvific plan. ' Co' meaning with, not equal. Just as all men are to be co workers in his work .
@frank2033 Where did I say she was a goddess? I am quoting what God is saying. The roman catholic cult named mary "queen of heaven", not God. God ALREADY mentions the queen of heaven, not "A" queen of heaven.
@kiwichristian2009 Yes , this part that you quoted "They pour out drink offerings to other gods to provoke to anger". That sounds that you beleive we're offering the Mass to Mary as worship and that's not right on your part. She's not a goddess in our thought in any way. Church teaching is that Sacrifice is given to God Alone. Mary cannot and does not get the Mass offered to her. Thus, the passage you quoted from Jeremiah the prophet is absolutely inapplicable to our practice of veneration.
@kiwichristian2009 - seems Jer:7 stirs up silliness here again - to quote the bible one must understand the language, history, and context written. The people in this passage do not worship a monotheistic God...the God of Abraham. Translation of the word "mylekhet" is not literal for "queen" Rather this "queen" was a goddess, these people worshipped the moon, and the stars, not the God known to Jews, Muslims, and Christians. Catholics do not "worship" the moon nor Mary the mother of Jesus
>>"Rather this "queen" was a goddess, these people worshipped the moon, and the stars, not the God known to Jews, Muslims, and Christians.
In perfect harmony with that, in the Hebrew text the word for heaven is actually "e·shmim", which translates to "the heavens", plural. In the OT, "the heavens" generally refers to the sky, or skies, not heaven as Christians know it.
This word is first found in the Hebrew Gen 1:9 "Let the waters below the heavens be gathered"
There is no such being as queen of heaven. It is an invention of the Catholic Church motivated by the great deceiver Satan. Jesus is being described countless times in Scripture as the King of kings. If there is to be a queen, the Bible would have mentioned it but it does.
@mpenaco Satan causes comments like yours. The Bible does not mention the word Abortion. Abortion is a sin, but it is not in the Bible. The united States of America is not appointed by God to save the world anywhere in the Bible, but it thinks it has to. The world is round, but it does not say it in the Bible. Your point is so ignorant. Satan created heresy, you believe lies, you are deceived manipulated and an apostate, but you do not even know it. How sad. Jesus warned against your ilk
@robertiacomacci But the Bible does say that "ALL have sinned". If you say Mary is without sin, are you not disregarding this plain teaching of Paul? Are you saying Paul was lying? If I`m ignorant for quoting Paul, then I stand guilty. But that`s fine with me because I know I`m in good company. You on the other hand are relying on purely human teaching. Neither Jesus nor the apostles taught that Mary was without sin.
@mpenaco Was Jesus man? iF YOU ANSWER yes. you're correct. Did Jesus sin? If you answer no, you're correct again. Then you admit there is at least one exception to that verse, is there not? I can show you that ALL does not mean all in scripture. Mark 1 verse 5 'People of the whole Judean countryside and all the inhabitants of Jerusalemwere going out to him and were baptised by by him in the Jordan River as they acknowledged their sins". Do you really believe that the WHOLE Judaen countryside
@frank2033 So you think the word "all" in Rom. 3:23 does not mean "all" which gives you an excuse to say Mary was sinless. Well how about this: "As it is written:
"There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one." Rom. 3:10-12. "They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one." Ps 14:3.
@mpenaco Have all sinned? What of a child below a certain age , the age of reason . By definition he can't sin since sinning requires the ability to reason and the ability to intend to sin. hoe about the unborn the mentally handicapped. How much sin have they done? this is indicated by St. Paul later in the letter to Romans 9;11 when he speaks of the time when they' had done nothing either good or bad " Also Jesus did not sin Hebrew 4;15. Paul comment seems to have one of two meanings
@mpenaco One of two meanings. It might be that , it refers not to absolutely everyone, but just to the mass of mankind (which means young children ,handicapped and other special cases , like Jesus and Mary, would be excluded without having to singled out). If not that , then it would that everyone without eception is subject to original sin.which is true for a young child, unborn, handicapped even for Mary-but , though subject to it , was preserved by God from it and its stain. In that way was
@mpenaco That's why Mary can say most truthfully in Luke 2;47 " My spirit rejoices in God my Savior'.After all, Mary didn't create herself sinless, did she ? A good analogy would be if there were two people walking along and the first one does fall in(original sin) to this pit but God reaches out and pulls the first one out and saves that one but then another comes along and just before he falls in God reaches in and saves that one from falling in the first place. Both were saved .
@mpenaco The whole Judean countryside was baptised by him? That must have been thousands upon thousands. He couldn't have possibly have kerplunked them all fast enough. There was the time constraint and his arms would've given out. All in scripture doesn't necessarily mean to be taken literally. All just means a very large number.
@mpenaco Rev 12 " She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod". Who could it be but Jesus and His mother ,Mary ? i'll forward to the end of Rev 12 "Then the dragon became angry with the woman and went to wage war with the rest of her oofspring, those that keep God's comandments and bear witness to Jesus". Do you mpenaco keep God's commandments and bear witness to Jesus? If you do you're her offspring and should acknowledge , honor and call her mothe
@mpenaco And call her mother. In Luke 1 the angel Gabriel calls her "Hail ,full of grace". Only one other in the entire bible is called 'full of grace" and that's Jesus. What does it mean to be full of something? Visualise this , if something or in this case someone is full, is there room for anything else ? No, it is full and so therefore nothing else is possible. As for the first christians not believing that Mary was conceived without sin, you should read what the early church fathers
@frank2033 Being full of grace does not mean without sin. On the contrary, it means a sinner, like Mary, receives God's mercy and forgiveness. Romans 5:20 says "Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more." Only a sinner needs the grace and mercy of God. Mary being full of grace simply means that she was sinful but God forgave her and used her to be the earthly mother of Jesus. Who did Jesus say His true mother was?
@mpenaco Romans 6;1 "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that sin may abound ? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?" That definitely doesn't mean that Mary was a sinner.
@frank2033 Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Revelation 15:4 says, "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy." Romans 3:10 says, There is none righteous, no, not one." Luke2:22,24 proves she needed purification from sin.
@frank2033 "While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him. 47Someone told him, "Your mother and brothers are standing outside, wanting to speak to you."He replied to him, "Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?" Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother." (Mat. 12:46-50)
@mpenaco This doesn't denigrate her . To the contrary , when Jesus comments are read in light of Luke 8;5-15 and the parable of the sower which Jesus taught right before His question, Jesus is actually implying that Mary has already received the word as the sower of the good ground and is bearing fruit. Jesus is teaching that others must like Mary , also receive the word and obey it. This was also made in reference to Psalm 69;8-9 . Jesus was answering the psamist's prophecy that those
@mpenaco Psalms 69;8-9 That those closest to Him would betray Him at His Passion. Jesus is emphasizing the spiritual family's importance than over the biological family, and the importance of being faithful to Him . While many were unfaithful to Him, Mary remained faithful to Him , even to the point of standing at the foot of the Cross.
@mpenaco A baptist convert Steve Ray wanted to know what the early church was , how they did it -a blueprint . He thought wouldn't it be great if any of the early christians did any writing. What he found were the early church fathers. A great resource for catholics but highly subversive for protestants. Why? Because they talk about Holy Communion, the bishops, Mary . In short, the early church was Catholic.
@frank2033 Catholic means universal and Christ's church is universal in scope, hence, catholic. The Roman Catholic Church maybe ancient but the false doctrines about Mary were invented more than 1,000 years after Christ died. But the true test is the Scripture. Is Immaculate Conception in Scripture? No it is not. Is it consistent with Scripture? No it is not because Scripture says only Jesus Christ is without sin. Is "Queen of Heaven" in Scripture? Yes it is, an enemy of God, an idol -Jer. 44
@mpenaco Also in the Church Fathers they talk about the Eucharist and Mary and bishops . First century. 2,000 years ago not 1,000. If you deny history you 'll deny the Church Christ founded . If you embrace history you embrace the truth.
@mpenaco Catholic does mean universal that's correct. The Catholic Church is universal and is found in the whole world and in the next with those in heaven and in purgatory. We are united with those that have gone before us. As to Christ's church being universal and hence no specific body of worshipers(denomination) where was this universal church for 1500 years before protestantism came along? Where were all those 35,000+ denominations if what you say is true? Who wrote the new testament tha
@mpenaco Who wrote the new testament that God inspired? Was it the Lutherans , anglicans, methodists, calvinists, baptists, AOG ,Mormons, christian science, Nazarene, Apostolic, calvary chapel, fellowship, espiscopal, ,zion, seventh day, pentecostal, jehovah's witness, Menonnite, presbyterian, unitarian, unity, reformed, or weslyan? who were the canonists / who gave them the authority to add books to the Old Testament? how did they decide which of many writings would go into the Old Testament?
@frank2033 The true church isn't catholic or protestant. It doesn't have a mailing address or a zip code. It is the body of believers in Jesus Christ the world over. Christ has written their names in the book of life. Christ knows who His friends are.
@kiwichristian2009 You didn't answer . Who was the church and what did they teach-Matt 28;18 "And Jesus came and said to them. All authority has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptisizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that i have commanded you, and behold I am with you always , to the end of the age" Just answer these questions . Did all of the apostles just go down to the corner store and get
@kiwichristian2009 Did the Apostles all get their bibles from the Christian store and start their own seperate churches ? Not being one but all teaching something different and this invisable church just kept growing into many different denominations , printing bibles and handing them out at the street corners without any specific doctrines being taught ?
@kiwichristian2009 Did the Apostles all get their bibles from the Christian store and start their own seperate churches ? Not being one but all teaching something different and this invisable church just kept growing into many different denominations , printing bibles and handing them out at the street corners without any specific doctrines being taught ? There was no unity ever in this church ?
@mpenaco Invented does not mean the same as formally defined . Many writers /saints / popes from the begining till much later have proposed this doctrine including some Protestants like Martin Luther , Calvin, Zwingli. A pope does not just sit around and make up things like' heck , I'll just make up a doctrine that no one's ever heard of before'. That's not how it works. A doctrine is formally declared if there's a heresy brewing or the faithful call for it. That's when it's put on paper.
@mpenaco Yes, that's when it's formally declared , not made up out of thin air. Another analogy is, suppose you had an informal/ oral agreement with someone and it was an unspoken agreement but there might be a time when the need arose to put on paper and have it all signed and sealed. If there was a legal challenge and you had to show some written proof that there was an agreement could you? I mean anything written( before that) on anything(on a napkin or IOU) or witnesses. The Church has that
@kiwichristian2009 Where does it say that ? Romans 3;10 ? If you look at it it's truly talking about there's no moral distinction between Jews and gentiles . There' s no moral superiority that the the Jews have over the gentiles.
@frank2033 No, Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Revelation 15:4 says, "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy." Romans 3:10 says, There is none righteous, no, not one." Luke2:22,24 proves she needed purification from sin.
@kiwichristian2009 If you read it in context it's obviously talking about Jews not having a moral superiority over gentiles . That' s why Paul says "all have sinned". If you take it literally then you have to say Jesus sinned. After all was he or was he not human ? You also have to say all children below the age of reason have sinned. Even unborn children and mentally handicapped. It's either "All' ( every human being ,including Jesus ) or there's exceptions such as those mentioned .
@frank2033 Many converts have come over after reading early church fathers writings (first few hundred years of christianity). Why don't you read what the early Church really beieved in ? What are you afraid of? Do you really believe they didn't teach one set of doctrines? That early christianity just went and built and taught something different? Having many, many diffrent doctrines? All opposing each other?
@kiwichristian2009 Blessed Mary ( I usually capitalize when it's someone's name and the mother of God) was just being obedient as Jesus was when He was baptised . Remember, John the Baptist called for repentance and baptism for the forgiveness of sins. If you hold the same reasoning to Jesus , then he would have to have sinned. Wouldn't He?
@robertiacomacci A fetus is a living human, an abortion kills it. The Bible says this is wrong ( Yet the catholic cult tortured and murdered MILLIONS of innocent Christians. ). The Bible DOES say the earth is round. You obviously have not read it. Isiah 40:22 "It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,"
@frank2033 Go to your local library and look up the inquisitions and crusades. Also, read your own organisations history. "On August 24, 1527, Roman Catholics in France, by prearranged plan, under Jesuit influence, murdered 70,000 Protestants within the space of two months. The Pope rejoiced when he heard the news of the successful outcome."-Western Watchman, Nov.21, 1912 (Catholic)
@kiwichristian2009 Well , I 'll certainly read up on the inquisitions and the crusades. It'll take me a while to respond more fully. But generally , both sides were pretty bloody. i believe that the people (in the inquisitions) were for the very honest and more trustworthy than the alternatives. At least the defendants could expect a fair trial. The judges were Catholic and while the judgements were in their power the punishment phase were out of their hands. The civil authorities were in
@kiwichristian2009 The civil authorities were in charge of the punishment and while the punishment may seem extremely harsh you are talking about a another culture and time when the civil authorities meted out punishment. But what was the alternatve ? Just let the guilty go free? Without regard that they did merit punishment? In other words do we /should we let rapists/murderers go free if the punishment is deemed too harsh? If you were a judge and the choice is to condemn someone with your
@frank2033 Therefore the pope ordered "that malicious and abominable sect of malignants," if they "refuse to abjure, to be crushed like venomous snakes."--Wylie, b. 16, ch. 1. Decreti, pars ii. causa xxiii. quaest v. can. xlvii: "Those are not to be accounted homicides who, fired with zeal for Mother Church, may have killed excommunicated persons."
@kiwichristian2009 with your verdict with what you may deem overly harsh/ cruel punishment or just let the guilty go free what would you do? And remember we're talking about souls and eternity here. We're talking about heritics leading souls to Hell.
@mpenaco Read REV 12"A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of TWELVE stars".Then another sign appeared in the sky;it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth . She gave birth to a son,a
@frank2033 The woman in revelation is a picture of the Israelite nation as shown in Gen37:9,10 with the sun representing Jacob, the moon his wife Rachel, and the 12 stars representing the tribes of Israel. Christ was born of Israel. The Israelite nation is often referred to as a woman in Isaiah54:5 and Jeremiah31:32.This woman cannot be mary because the woman IS ON EARTH DURING THE TRIBULATION, whereas mary's spirit is in heaven at that time.
@kiwichristian2009 Why don't you capitalize her name as the bible does? Why do you capitalize only Christ, Jacob, Israel and Rachel? My other question is why don't you call her blessed just as Luke 1;48 prophecises-" For behold , henceforth all generations willl call me blessed "
@frank2033 Because the mary of catholicism is NOT the Mary of the Bible. Of course Mary is blessed. ALL Christians are blessed. If you stop wasting time worrying about capital letters and start reading the Word of God, that may do you more good. I usually only capitalize God and Christs' name because ONLY they are holy ( or Holy if you want to be pedantic ).
Jerimiah 7:18 in the old testiment: The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger. So tell me what queen of heaven is God refering to? Remember, this was centuries befor mary was born. Think hard.
@ThankyouJESUS316 - your quote leaves off " star shaped" before cakes. The Hebrew wording refers to the" largest star in the heavens" and an "expression of a queen"...the "queen of heaven" so to speak. These people worshiped the moon, stars and the sun instead of the God of Abraham. This has nothing to do with Mary mother of Jesus. You should refer to the original Hebrew texts for the meaning of this passage
**Ok...enough of the nutjob comments. If your legitimate comment was accidentally deleted along with the foolishness my apologies but I I needed to clean this up so that those who come here to find peace may do so
For those against Holy Mother Mary... just be thankful she brought Jesus to this material world. Her best gift to you and me is Lord Jesus, Our Savior.

In that way was
frank2033 1 year ago

If you do you're her offspring and should acknowledge , honor and call her mothe
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco And call her mother. In Luke 1 the angel Gabriel calls her "Hail ,full of grace". Only one other in the entire bible is called 'full of grace" and that's Jesus. What does it mean to be full of something? Visualise this , if something or in this case someone is full, is there room for anything else ? No, it is full and so therefore nothing else is possible. As for the first christians not believing that Mary was conceived without sin, you should read what the early church fathers
frank2033 1 year ago
@frank2033 Being full of grace does not mean without sin. On the contrary, it means a sinner, like Mary, receives God's mercy and forgiveness. Romans 5:20 says "Where sin abounds, grace abounds even more." Only a sinner needs the grace and mercy of God. Mary being full of grace simply means that she was sinful but God forgave her and used her to be the earthly mother of Jesus. Who did Jesus say His true mother was?
mpenaco 1 year ago
@mpenaco Romans 6;1 "What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that sin may abound ? By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it?" That definitely doesn't mean that Mary was a sinner.

Pointing to his disciples, he said, "Here are my mother and my brothers.

Jesus was answering the psamist's prophecy that those
frank2033 1 year ago

In short, the early church was Catholic.
frank2033 1 year ago
@frank2033 Catholic means universal and Christ's church is universal in scope, hence, catholic. The Roman Catholic Church maybe ancient but the false doctrines about Mary were invented more than 1,000 years after Christ died. But the true test is the Scripture. Is Immaculate Conception in Scripture? No it is not. Is it consistent with Scripture? No it is not because Scripture says only Jesus Christ is without sin. Is "Queen of Heaven" in Scripture? Yes it is, an enemy of God, an idol -Jer. 44
mpenaco 1 year ago
@mpenaco Also in the Church Fathers they talk about the Eucharist and Mary and bishops . First century. 2,000 years ago not 1,000. If you deny history you 'll deny the Church Christ founded . If you embrace history you embrace the truth.
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco Catholic does mean universal that's correct. The Catholic Church is universal and is found in the whole world and in the next with those in heaven and in purgatory. We are united with those that have gone before us. As to Christ's church being universal and hence no specific body of worshipers(denomination) where was this universal church for 1500 years before protestantism came along? Where were all those 35,000+ denominations if what you say is true? Who wrote the new testament tha
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco Who wrote the new testament that God inspired? Was it the Lutherans , anglicans, methodists, calvinists, baptists, AOG ,Mormons, christian science, Nazarene, Apostolic, calvary chapel, fellowship, espiscopal, ,zion, seventh day, pentecostal, jehovah's witness, Menonnite, presbyterian, unitarian, unity, reformed, or weslyan? who were the canonists / who gave them the authority to add books to the Old Testament? how did they decide which of many writings would go into the Old Testament?
frank2033 1 year ago

@mpenaco can we use the same criteria to add /remove books? And who gave these canonists the authority to close the canon ?
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco Invented does not mean the same as formally defined . Many writers /saints / popes from the begining till much later have proposed this doctrine including some Protestants like Martin Luther , Calvin, Zwingli. A pope does not just sit around and make up things like' heck , I'll just make up a doctrine that no one's ever heard of before'. That's not how it works. A doctrine is formally declared if there's a heresy brewing or the faithful call for it. That's when it's put on paper.
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco Yes, that's when it's formally declared , not made up out of thin air. Another analogy is, suppose you had an informal/ oral agreement with someone and it was an unspoken agreement but there might be a time when the need arose to put on paper and have it all signed and sealed. If there was a legal challenge and you had to show some written proof that there was an agreement could you? I mean anything written( before that) on anything(on a napkin or IOU) or witnesses. The Church has that
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco The Catholic Church has that proof if you care to find out. Tons of it. May God bless and keep you.
frank2033 1 year ago
@mpenaco If catholics say mary was sinless, they are in fact calling God a liar. plain and simple. God tells us that all have sinned. Period.
kiwichristian2009 1 year ago
@kiwichristian2009 Where does it say that ? Romans 3;10 ? If you look at it it's truly talking about there's no moral distinction between Jews and gentiles . There' s no moral superiority that the the Jews have over the gentiles.
frank2033 1 year ago
@frank2033 No, Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Revelation 15:4 says, "Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? For thou only art holy." Romans 3:10 says, There is none righteous, no, not one." Luke2:22,24 proves she needed purification from sin.
kiwichristian2009 1 year ago
@kiwichristian2009 If you read it in context it's obviously talking about Jews not having a moral superiority over gentiles . That' s why Paul says "all have sinned". If you take it literally then you have to say Jesus sinned. After all was he or was he not human ? You also have to say all children below the age of reason have sinned. Even unborn children and mentally handicapped. It's either "All' ( every human being ,including Jesus ) or there's exceptions such as those mentioned .
frank2033 1 year ago
@frank2033 Many converts have come over after reading early church fathers writings (first few hundred years of christianity). Why don't you read what the early Church really beieved in ? What are you afraid of? Do you really believe they didn't teach one set of doctrines? That early christianity just went and built and taught something different? Having many, many diffrent doctrines? All opposing each other?
frank2033 1 year ago
@kiwichristian2009 It"s either one or the other . And if you have to admit it's to be taken literal or not. Make up your mind.

The Bible says this is wrong ( Yet the catholic cult tortured and murdered MILLIONS of innocent Christians. ).

In other words do we /should we let rapists/murderers go free if the punishment is deemed too harsh? If you were a judge and the choice is to condemn someone with your

Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth . frank2033 1 year ago
@frank2033 The woman in revelation is a picture of the Israelite nation as shown in Gen37:9,10 with the sun representing Jacob, the moon his wife Rachel, and the 12 stars representing the tribes of Israel. Christ was born of Israel. The Israelite nation is often referred to as a woman in Isaiah54:5 and Jeremiah31:32.This woman cannot be mary because the woman IS ON EARTH DURING THE TRIBULATION, whereas mary's spirit is in heaven at that time.
kiwichristian2009 1 year ago
@kiwichristian2009 Why don't you capitalize her name as the bible does? Why do you capitalize only Christ, Jacob, Israel and Rachel? My other question is why don't you call her blessed just as Luke 1;48 prophecises-" For behold , henceforth all generations willl call me blessed "
frank2033 1 year ago

Think hard.
ThankyouJESUS316 1 year ago
@ThankyouJESUS316 - your quote leaves off " star shaped" before cakes. The Hebrew wording refers to the" largest star in the heavens" and an "expression of a queen"...the "queen of heaven" so to speak. These people worshiped the moon, stars and the sun instead of the God of Abraham. This has nothing to do with Mary mother of Jesus. You should refer to the original Hebrew texts for the meaning of this passage
