Man..I have watched this movie 3 times in theater and 13 times in DVD...I can still go on....For me this is one of the best movie ever to be made...cheers

The Departed, "was adapted" from the Korean movie Internal Affairs, no one complained (They shouldn't , cause it was a great movie). But no one seem to care that it was based off of that movie. So why are we "indians" bashed for "copying the movie???
@syseral Dude it isn't the same context at all first off Departed was a sanctioned remake of the chinese film "Infernal Affairs". Theirs a huge difference between being a remake and a ripoff. A remake is when you get the permission of the original studio to reproduce their film to the point were it can be a scene for scene reshoot. Bollywood just outright reproduces or rips off a film without consent rarely making it as good as the orignal key example of that Oldboy vs Zinda a bollywood ripoff.

If you rip off Memento, at least try to do it some justice. Instead, this was a disgrace. It turned into a love story that was overtly melodramatic, going nowhere, and absolutely ridiculous. Watch Memento, and if you have the intellect to understand it, you'll realize this is in the "crappy" movie section, not "greatest."

My biggest problem with this movie is, how come a millionaire can't hire his own goons to help him find the mob boss he's looking for and beat the crap out of him, that would have save him some time and trouble hahaha. I watched this recently and I must admit I didn't like it.... Feels like I really have to put my brains in the trash can before watching it. I find it very unbearable.. Only reason I was convinced it's because it was the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. Maybe, modern Bollywood films really aren't for me. I have watched some really good old Hindi films but this one is...well, speechless.

@syseral Dude it isn't the same context at all first off Departed was a sanctioned remake of the chinese film "Infernal Affairs". Theirs a huge difference between being a remake and a ripoff. A remake is when you get the permission of the original studio to reproduce their film to the point were it can be a scene for scene reshoot. Bollywood just outright reproduces or rips off a film without consent rarely making it as good as the orignal key example of that Oldboy vs Zinda a bollywood ripoff.

If you rip off Memento, at least try to do it some justice. Instead, this was a disgrace. It turned into a love story that was overtly melodramatic, going nowhere, and absolutely ridiculous. Watch Memento, and if you have the intellect to understand it, you'll realize this is in the "crappy" movie section, not "greatest."

Yes people it "copied" momento's idea of amnesia and the death of the wife....but if I had to choose which one was better...Ghajini hands down
sure it has its cheesy moments but It's got everything, romance, comedy ...yet at the same time shockers and WTF moments!
Momento was good. But looking back it was a very grim and depressing film. Ghajini does the same thing but puts a twist on it to make it more entertaining (with the Romance, comedy etc )

I watched this recently and I must admit I didn't like it.... Feels like I really have to put my brains in the trash can before watching it. I find it very unbearable.. Only reason I was convinced it's because it was the highest grossing Bollywood film of all time. Maybe, modern Bollywood films really aren't for me. I have watched some really good old Hindi films but this one is...well, speechless.
