But I do find it irritating that people keep labelling todays music as 'Justin Bieber crap', and that we have learned nothing musically in 50 years (to quote sunnchilde) etc. There is a lot of good music being made today, it is just the fact that you prefer that particular genre/period or the old memories connected with them, that you say it is high quality music, and better than todays 'crap'.

Young children who listen early to well written music tend to make better choices in music/imo.

Sorry to put a damper on things for this great song and singer but Del Shannon committed suicide in 1990 while suffering from depression. Real sad he had some great songs.  'Runaway' was a really great one.

I love this song, but it's ignorant to disregard all modern music.
