I saw him on a Sunday night in a downtown club in St. Louis, probably between other gigs I'm sure. He ate at our table and poured bourbon over his turtle cheescake to "soften it up" so he could hurry up and get on stage to start his gig. What a show too!

I first saw Slim at the Winnipeg folk festival. I love this gentle man, what a fantastic performer.
