It is a job, and if you have to fight each other, dont take it personal and just do it. MMA is a competetive sport, so that doesn't mean guys can only fight each other if they hate each other.. Celtics traded Perkins, but Perkins knows how the Celtics run defense, doesn't mean that he's gonna sit out. Same with fighting, you know each others weakness, so you just gotta tune it up before the fight..

He can't force guys to fight, but in the end he is the boss so if they don't go along with the course of action the company wants, it's probably not a great thing for your career.

He's next fight will be a rematch with Rampage or Machida. Going up against Anderson wont be any easier than going up against Jones, but It would be a great fight. He's way to small for a heavyweight. But I do think everybody is entitled to one friend. If he has a bond with Jones, you gotta respect that.

Ya'll are crazy though, you don't fight your camp. Camp has to be cohesive, you need to trust the guys you're working with. You can't trust a guy that you're going to have t put it all against in the ring if he knows, for example, that you've got a busted rib coming into a fight.

Your coach and the other fighter aren't going to hesitate to exploit any perceived weaknesses they know from training with you. Fighting is very personal for a lot of fighters, you can't always just go back to being friends afterward. He can't force guys to fight, but in the end he is the boss so if they don't go along with the course of action the company wants, it's probably not a great thing for your career.

Dana needs to chill out.Its against the nature of the sport, if you want to rule the class you gotta make it a game 100% of the way; make yourself feel like you've given him no choice and now its just territory. Regardless of like that will always leave a gap, some people need a large support group that shares their trade to be the best fighter they can. As long as he fights at his potential its good business and doesn't obstruct a generational championship like silva vs GSP I wont think twice

I always said Rashad has been competing out of his weight class anyway..185 may be better for him. but then again, he was a champ at lhw- in college he wrestled at 165...we'll see what he chooses to do

He's next fight will be a rematch with Rampage or Machida. Going up against Anderson wont be any easier than going up against Jones, but It would be a great fight. He's way to small for a heavyweight. But I do think everybody is entitled to one friend. If he has a bond with Jones, you gotta respect that.

@GodsMafiiaMan machida softened him up. thiago silva and rampage are powerful strikers but from what i remember in those fights they both caught him with one shot and he went wobbly. evans would still have a shot at laying on shogun for 5 rounds to win the belt by decision, but at some point shogun would connect and i'm not so sure he'd survive.

Ya'll are crazy though, you don't fight your camp. Camp has to be cohesive, you need to trust the guys you're working with. You can't trust a guy that you're going to have t put it all against in the ring if he knows, for example, that you've got a busted rib coming into a fight.

Your coach and the other fighter aren't going to hesitate to exploit any perceived weaknesses they know from training with you. Fighting is very personal for a lot of fighters, you can't always just go back to being friends afterward. Every fan wants to see the best fighters fight, but if you have to break up a great camp to do it you're cannibalizing the sport.
