hey steppnwolf76109 if u r going to cach a bever or bevers find a bever lodge it looks like a rilly big muskrat hunt but its biggggggger then set a bever trap there in front of the lodge if u want to buy some bever bait then set the lodge but if u want to just set the lodge.
Nice catch I'm a newbie trapper and trying to figure every thing out and how to set different traps I've watched a couple if the conobear vids and realized that on there triggers they were all strait but yours are bent slightly which makes more sense maximize the trigger area thanks great vid
What is the best way to anchor them? I am a coyote man but I have a land owner that wants me to trap the beaver as well as the coytes. Never trapped beaver and I just bought some of these 330s. I know how to set them safely and where to set them but the anchoring system I'm not sure of.
@steppnwolf76109 I anchor them similar to my video, with a large stick through each spring or spring eye. But another thing to always remember is to anchor the end of the chain to a different anchor point such as a stake or tree. Beavers are very powerful and can uproot everything around the trap.
@MrSouthernSurvival Belisle will last you years, and will kill anything that can fits its head through the jaws. I have caught weasels in 330s. They are a vital trap.
some advice ------sometimes these 330's don't work properly because the beaver comes swimming through the trap with a stick in his mouth and he just knocks it over
@MrSouthernSurvival I cant recommend using the larger conibears on land because they will kill any animal including cats and dogs, but for rabbits I would go with snares. I think they would work better anyway. I always try to buy American made traps. Victor and Sleepy Creek are both good.
i broke my hand and wrist in one. i hate them and they hate me but they do a great job for trapping.

@jzoer392 Yes that is correct I have had 330s snapped with just a stick in them before.

@jmjay231
Is the 330 stronger than the 220 or is it just the size of the trap that differentiates?
Does the number represent PSI of clamping power or just the size of the trap?
79Testo 1 month ago
@79Testo 330 is considerably larger then a 220 in size and power. But 220s can be used to trap beaver in certain narrow conditions .

@Biffbradford They dam up streams and can cause a lot of property damage, whether by the flooding or damaging trees.
