  • wow what an interesting band

  • @ESPxTele ya id def agree with you there...somehow the vocals do match the music perfectly...i wouldnt call it screaming id call it aggressive singing i suppose...

  • I really don't care what you other's say but Isis is my favorite band. But if you don't like that's cool with me. But in any case THIS is not Isis THIS is CoL. In my opinion just as good. And at this point my favorite band that is still together, then perhaps Neurosis and Mastodon

  • Yes I'll complain about the singing, because that isn't singing.

The music sounded SO good!!! And then suddenly.

    BRUGHUHUHUHGUHUHUHHHHH !!!!1

    Spoiled it completely.

  • People are such fucking morons.

  • this is silly

  • best fuckin' band EVER

  • Their ability to record music like this is extraordinary but to pull it off live... beyond comprehension. I feel privileged to be listening to this.

  • The name should be "Cult of Luna Orchestra"

Fucking amazing band. Post-Drone Rock at it's best.

  • The vocals are fucking awesome.

  • My band is better.

  • This bass line from 4:08 on is just SO sick! Kinda makes me wanna see planets collide or smthg!

  • @Bathankaal indeed lml.

  • @TheCosmicAssassin

nah, this is cult of luna...i really dunno what statement you're trying to make here.

  • 9 people be haters

  • @Fall4Kingdom I hope they don't.

They are one of my favourite bands and the reason for them ending it - not breaking up - was because they felt they accomplished everything they wished too with Isis. They will all continue in other projects, such as Red Sparrows. They didnt want to push it and shouldn't do so if they're not confident in doing so. Nobody wants a terrible album to ruin everything they have done and in this way i believe you are wrong

  • This entire DVD is pretty epic. If you haven't seen the rest CHECK IT OUT!

  • fuckkkthisis one epic fucking song

  • Don't get me wrong, I still like this a lot, but when I hear it I suddenly know why russian circles have no vocals :s

  • @piggybags

you're comparing cult of luna to russion circles?

    ... really?

  • EPIC.

  • Wow! Awesome performance.

  • Starting 4:08 onwards its a deeply religious feeling for me. I might have found the cure to my Isis withdrawal symptoms. Love both bands equally so please try not to hate on me and love the music instead.

  • 7:27 quad head bang epic

  • @brightviolence That was so sexy, haha

  • That Moog make me jealous!

  • AL..WAYS. PUSHED AWAY. ALWAYS. NOTHING.

  • I love this band.

  • This is amazing for a live performance. The audience is so quiet...

Then again, I'd be quiet, too.

  • @SirDakkalot London is a respectful crowd :)

  • @SirDakkalot I would have been that guy who yelled "You fuckin rock!", at the beginning. hahaha.

  • @5:00 That's so emotionally strong! I never have enough of this band.

  • This DVD is amazing.

  • I really enjoy this but...I don't hear anything from the 3rd guitarist or 2nd drummer that adds anything that makes me go "okay, that's necessary" I still love the sound of it though. Could someone tell me why three guitars and 2 drums make this band?

  • @batmobile13 what? you can hear all of the instruments in every song.

They layer everything up so it becomes like a wall of sound.

Ive seen them live 5 times and i can tell you will notice why they have so many guitars and drums.

  • @batmobile13 its all about the layering as coinfaced said. 2 drummers give it a real rhythmical, almost tribal drumming feel. it the percussive element heavier which keeps a droning pulse during their crescendo-happy onslaught. a guitarist can tell you why the 3 guitars, but without the additional instruments, cult of luna would not be cult of luna

  • @xTREVORISFITx makes*

  • damn man they fuckiNg Roockk!@#@$#

  • Is there a tab out there for this song?

  • This band is RAD!! I hope they come to Canada soon! I heard of these guys from a really good band in Calgary called ATOMIS that stated them as one of their influences....now I know why! Check out myspace .com/atomis

  • lol "You fucking rock!" 0:29

  • this band has the best of metal, fucking heavy heavy sound. this band and isis are my favorite bands of all time, art is what we are hearing!!!!!!!!

aaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! wish they head to canada.

  • so good. woweeeeeeeezzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzasdas

  • buy the DVD. I bought mine, and watched it with headphones in my room. Ghost Trail is my personal favorite song on the album, the solo always makes me tear up; Ulrich ripped the solo that's responsible for that a completely new set of orifices, it's amazing, worth every penny of the $50 at F.Y.E. and the search for it. Go buy it, do it now.

  • I think it sounds a little like ISIS ... =D

  • lol..."You Fuckin' ROCK!!"...woooo.

  • People, trust me on this one. Buy the freaking DVD. It's amazing and the quality on youtube does not do it justice! Best purchase I've made in a while.

  • such a great band, best sludge metal band i no, compared to isis and nuerosis it rapes them

  • @mrbongsterweed I think thats a little dis-respectful for what Neurosis has done For the metal community but i guess u didn't mean anythin bad about it! This band are pretty immense!

  • das ist abolut phänomenal!!! there's nothing better....i mean...2 drums and 4 guitars...amazing, brutal, awesome

  • @SandriaGirrith 4 guitars??

  • Omg... This song is just... awesome ! <3++

  • We may have lost Isis, but at least we still have Cult of Luna.

  • @kolakosky

Give Isis credit, they're still better than 80% of the metal around now.

  • @wolfeman28 yes we do :D

  • @wolfeman28 Don't forget about Rosetta! Their awesome!

  • check out Blindead and Obscure Sphinx. Same level imo.

  • @wolfeman28

    fuck isis

  • @robzombie676 wtf.

  • @Tionyd

    im tired of isis..

    never liked them!

and compared to COL they are weak.. sorry mate! my opinion

  • @robzombie676 Alright. But you could have "expressed" yourself a bit more appropriate.. Isis is definitely none of those "sellouts" that deserve to be fucked.

  • @Tionyd

sorry mate. the fact that all of the so called "post rock" fans in my area always come up with "isis is the best band evAr" makes me rage all the time..

    shure they are no sellouts.. but everyone deserves to be fucked right? (;

  • @wolfeman28 Great comment! I listen to both everyday!

  • luna is a cunt

  • one of my favorite videos on youtube. i'm so gettign this dvd!

  • This is absolutely perfect. The sound, the energy, the music. Musical perfection. Holy shit, do these guys need to come to Canada as soon as fucking possible.

  • They need to get off the fucking stage and interact with their fans! They sound like Fall of Efrafa and Neurosis, but look like Creed. Music is still amazing.

  • Guys you are amazing..keep on!!

  • what about the people who live in spain and can't buy the dvd? that's too sad...

  • most awesome is the bass in 5:55 to 6:30.. well, not only there :D

  • After much searching, I've found the dvd (and the cd+dvd for $1 less?..) on earache's store.

  • A totally superficial 1st impression, but his voice doesn't stand out or add enough for him to be just a vocalist. That said, as a whole they sound good enough to maybe fill the Neurosis/ISIS void someday.

  • 4 minutes into the song and I'm eargasming, I'm so getting the dvd. These guys sound a hundred times better live, can't say that about a lot of bands these days.

  • I love this band, this song, and most importantly, the guy rocking the hell out as he plays the tambarine hahaha

  • i love it it's awe inspiring

  • I love their instrumental parts and how deeply emotional is their music, but seriously. They should work on some new vocalist. Guy is unintelligible...their songs might not have any lyrics at all and it wouldnt make a difference xD Its like metal scat

    "Uaaaaargh guagh roar booaaaar"

  • Check out a band called celestial machine on my space

  • this band blows your mind!!! lml

  • shroom to luna 4ever

  • Damn they are a cult they got like 13 fucking guitar players

  • homies getting down on that bass, hell yeah

  • @pazuzuuu333

Hahah, no way! I just admire their overall look, it's not like I'm making Post-Rock a fashion scene. :P

  • That's awesome!!

  • Great show yesterday

  • Seeing these guys next saturday <3

  • Where??

  • @TheFolkslave I hate you :/

  • Damn.

  • @sorstyle Emo look ? Have u ever seen real emo ? I don't think so ....

  • More like Post-Rock look in my opinion. Cult Of Luna's live clothing is just plain amazing. I'm looking forward to put up a similar project, although I think it'll be more Post-Rock than Post-Metal/Sludge.

  • you fail

  • i had to release the tension in my back, neck and shoulders about 6 times during that video.. incredible sounds.

  • Great!!!

  • sounds really nice i think i have to check out their albums ;)

  • Very good sound. It'd be even better if the vocalist had a stronger voice... he falls short quite too often.

  • I am going to se them live at a cruse in sweden, together with deathstars, Dark Tranquillity, Bullet and Calibans, It is going to be awesome!

    I_I

  • Fuckin lucky u_u

  • @InNomineNostriSatan without seeing your comment i was going 2 say exactly the same thing.

    lucky bastard!

  • that is a fucking epic lineup!

  • you mean 12. the little bastard doesn't know what he's talking about

  • 4:06 niceeeee

  • best band ever

  • go kill yourself

  • Any one know the big crash ride the drummer uses

  • I used a Meinl Byzance 20" Medium Ride to achieve the crashy but clear sound. Too bad I kinda broke it. But it was the perfect ride sound in my opinion.

  • they have two drummers and three guitarist because its so heavy live.

  • sounds great tho!

  • This song is my good morning today :D

  • Incredible DVD. I really regret not being able to go and see them when they came to my town.

  • i can actually fall asleep listening to these guys. beautiful music

  • 5:00 - 5:18 sounds cool with two drummers. I'm so going to buy this dvd.

  • @lolzroflcopterzzz

definetly worth it man ^^ i got mine with the cd enternal kingdom

  • The studio recording of that section is my dialtone for my cell, so I agree. And do buy it, nice to have some decent photage of the guys doing their thing. If you have the chance you gotta go see em though since it's on a whole different level that most post-metal outfits.

  • Do they have two drummers? Why?

  • I just saw that too...i have no fucking idea. I'm assuming they can't do what they want with just one...i mean look at how many guitarists they have.

  • True, two drummers just seems like overkill to me though.

  • because they can

  • cuz the sound gets more "heavier" live. The feeling gets to a whole other level with more drums. The Melvins sometimes have 3 drummers.

  • fuck me this is live???? stupidly good performance and sound set up

  • When the entire band slightly changes tempo but stays perfectly in sync -- this happens a couple times in the song -- it's fucking incredible. Amazing song, amazing performance.

  • I like this song & album very, very much... it is a perfect combination of fine melody and aggressiveness. Cult Of Luna made me a fan of extreme metal!

  • ive never heard of these guys there REALLY GOOD!

  • intense

  • fuck yeah!!!

  • something out of our world and really hard to explain.

  • theyre my heros favorite band. Zak vargas:D

  • Comment removed

  • Cult Of Luna are one of my favorite bands. Their song are sto intense, i love this genre and this band.

  • I have all their albums, its like a drug!

  • @eviljon51 me 2! druged up on luna;)

  • Are there any plans to just release the DVD in North American? I'm a huge fan and I already have the CD. I'd rather buy a DVD version but I can't find it anywhere...

  • Holy shit. This band blows my fucking mind. gotta find some CDs!

  • Someone needs to upload more of this DVD. It's sad that this is the only professional live video of the band on here. The rest of them are fan shot with shitty quality.

  • I have a suggestion. Buy the DVD. You'll get the whole thing and you support the people that have spent hundreds of hours making it as professional as it is. Two birds in one stone.

  • Especially if you buy it from direct from Earache. Got my CD/DVD package (on it's way!) for 17usd.

  • I don't know if this is connected to the actual band in someway, but just in case, I would suggest that the band tour in North America. I'd really love to support the band by buying a ticket and seeing them live. If The Ocean (less known and still has a lot of members) can tour here, so can Cult of Luna. (referring to the interview on the DVD where they said it's too much trouble)

  • BeholdAPaleHorseBand!!! Who is your brother???? What instument does he play?

  • There's 2 in the band. They both play guitar and the bands called "We Lost the Sea" from Sydney Australia.

  • "due to circumstances that nobody could have done anything about."
