  • Ilove this song!! 33

  • The Cramps are credited with the birthing of psychobilly.....combining both punk and rockabilly. Greatest combination since peanut butter and my tongue.

  • I don't mind vevo, but when it doesn't let my video play because its ad wont load, i start to hate.

  • Best song ever to swing to, imo

  • i used to rock this town, but then i took a bowling ball to the knee

  • the man who coined the phrase psycobilly ?? Johhny cash

  • Dear Vevo, the quality of this video is crap.

  • @bettyfelon1 its 1980's you fucking dumb ass, of course its not high quality graphics..

  • Man Brian setzer can jam

  • love this song

  • I'm curious as to what Brian Setzer's next phase in music will be? I understand that his current fixation is jazz.

  • @88dillonzo Brian has a 14 piece big band and is currently on tour in Japan & the states. he is also heading a "Rockabilly riot" tour and is kicking ass wherever he plays!! Check his web site for more more info and he may be playing in a town near you...

  • FUCK VEVO

  • ROCKABILLY FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NO! That is NOT how it feels to chew five gum!!!! I love this song...

  • Lol@ Wierd Al 1:43

  • @Ducksbyday No, not weird al, unfortunately. Looks a lot like him, but IRL Al's hair is naturally super-curly... there is no way he could get his hair to lie flat like that without using so much hair gel, his head would be dripping with the stuff.

  • Weird Al gets all the chicks.

  • 80's Swag !!!

  • I guess the people who gave thumbs down never rocked a town!!!!..............Stray Cats definitley Rock!!

  • and the lord said on this day in in 1981 rockabilly shal be born again then it shal die out and then come back in the new melenium

  • THAT BASS HOW DOES HE MAKE IT SOUND SO ACOUSTIC

  • @mackwing7 he's playing a double bass, which is hollow. It's like a big cello or huge violin, meaning it has its own built in acoustics. Rockabilly and early Rock and Roll used the double bass alot. Fantastic sound, huh?

  • @montereypopfestiva67 its a string bass.

  • @ShadowSpartan9x which is called a "double bass"

  • Weird Al's at 1:43......sweet!

  • When I first heard this song the way it sounded I thought it was from the 1950's or 1960's. I was surprised when I found out it was from the 1980's.

  • @TheKingBusiness So did I; I even thought it was Elvis singing!

  • @TheKingBusiness The Stray Cats had a talent for that.

  • @TheKingBusiness A bit more upbeat and more rock

  • @TheKingBusiness thats because it was originally sang in the 50's

  • @chwoora Nope--"but all they played was disco, man..." definitely post-50s, and a Stray Cats original.

  • @TheKingBusiness the 50's 60's didnt have this clean of music produced. haha like all digitaly mastered

  • @TheKingBusiness aaand in the song they say disco..and 1974...lol

  • @TheKingBusiness thats becouse the stray cats were a rockabilly band

  • @peace6311 rockabilly has been alive since the fifties. EX.ELVIS PRESLEY psychobilly started in the 80's just saying

  • @MUTTmunster no shit .. i listen to rockabilly dont you think i know that

  • @TheKingBusiness me too!

  • @TheKingBusiness The Stray Cats were a 50s sound in the 80s.

  • @TheKingBusiness it is a cool song though

  • @TheKingBusiness BECAUSE ITS ROCKABILLY! :D =D xD XD

  • @TheKingBusiness Just found that out O_o

  • Hey Setzer die hards! I wrote a Setzer tribute song (a la Gene & Eddie) called This Kitten is Smitten. In it, I reference 15 Setzer/Cats songs. How many can you find?

    youtube.com/watch?v=TJ3wMk8lQjQ

  • these guys are old school, that is cool!

  • i think it is safe to assume the 1 dislike is kerranz's girlfriend

  • @fleury150 that is the funniest, most original reply i have read on you tube yet! i am cracking up!!!

  • @fleury150 ... plus his 2 ex's.

  • Mom please stop dancing!!!

  • 1 dislike!?! Who the hell......?

  • Late 1981, I believe. I was dancing to Stay Cats 2-3x weekly in a club near Drake University. It rocked !

  • Had the privilege of seeing them in the 80's. Small venue @ the Old Lady On Brady (holds less than 2000) in Tulsa but the acoustics there is beyond awesome!!!!!!! They opened for Don Henley. 2nd row & only problem was the 2 or 3 stall ladies lav.

  • The first time our band played out at a bar, I sang and played it on the bass. We had it requested twice, and the next day we played a wedding and had it requested twice again. The leader, who was the lead singer was so disturbed he told me that the band was breaking up.

  • i heard this song of the game CARS

  • I wore out lots of shoes dancing to this during my college days. My favorite band from the 80's. SO MUCH FUN !

  • And this music doesnt exist in todays society? Im going back to the 80's Beiber...

  • Excellent song, hate their hair and clothes. But hey, it was the 80's and everybody was ugly as hell.

  • saw them when they came to Utah with Z Z top and The Pretenders in 07" oh yea =]

  • I love brian setzer and the stray cats. awesome music

  • Retro rock n roll, you still gotta love it.

  • What year did this song came out?

  • Had to be about 1982, I remember I actually stopped having sex with my girlfriend

when they came on saturday Night Live. That's a testament to any band!

  • @kerranz

I hope you were at least able to have sex with the TV or taht would suck.

  • @TheOtherFifthBeatle We got back to it.

  • @kerranz wait . .you actually stopped in the middle of sex because of a SONG!!?? lol that's some messed up shit but if you gotta rock you gotta rock lol

  • @kerranz you coulda tevo'd it!

that was a facetious statement to all you trolls out there.

  • @Ssk8collins No such animal back then...and we were in a hotel.

  • @Ssk8collins TiVo in 1982? I seriously wonder about some people...

  • @irarawkstarr chill bro it was a joke :P thats why i said i was being Facetious. man i seriously wonder about some people.

    now stop Trollin!

  • @kerranz This originally came out in 81. I was 6 when it came out, lol. My sister had all their albums, freaks they were about him so I had no choice but to listen to them, lol. But he's still making awesome music though! A true pioneer!!

  • @kerranz i laughed out loud at that... good one!

  • @kerranz Though not such a testament to your girlfriend.

  • @Alikah1

    the...girl? f@uk the girl...after vid is over

  • @kerranz said, " .... I actually stopped having sex with my girlfriend when they came on .... "

Why? When a neat song would start playing, I'd just start timing myself to the beat of the song. Enjoy 2 things at once that way. :)

  • @kerranz Wow lol

  • @kerranz It was the fall of '83 and they did Sexy + 17 and I Won't Stand in Your Way. I think I still have it on tape too, but they were great that night, great band live too!

  • @kerranz oh karran, how could you....!

  • @kerranz LOL, that has to be the best testimonial ever! (or the greatest admission of idiocy ever...didn't you know that SEX is, usually, better than rock and roll? :) Then again, your girlfriend will still be there (maybe...you DID diss her to watch t.v) but that live broadcast will never happen again. Great song, regardless!

  • @ravenme333 Hey if she couldn't wait three minutes then screw it, it was the Stray Cats for God's sake! But yeah, Brian Setzer owes me one (not personally). Maybe I can get him to demo one of my guitars or get me in to interview at Gretsch one day.

  • Let's rock this town, BABY, YEAH:)

  • Even less views than stray cat strut... Why? I feel sorry 4 emimusic. He/she has 48 views on 1 video.
