  • The BMW is twin turboed though. Shouldn't the 0-60 be faster? I thought the BMW did 0-60 in 4.9 seconds... 5.2 sounds slow for this car.

  • there's something so sexy about a bad ass driving woman

  • the look on her face when she was in the bimmer tells it all, which is the drivers car BIMMER of course, audi is garbage, upgrade VW car, nuff said.

  • I didn't know you can fit cars in the kitchen!!

  • @talkaboutownage Haha acknowledged the joke. However, she'll kick your sorry ass and hand it to you. :)

  • The BMW seems like it would be a lot more fun to drive.

  • the engine on the 2007-present Audi S5

    Engine

    4.2L V8

  • @emanko111 kind of like the 3 series for mercedes and Audis TT and A4. If i were to get a bmw it would be the M5. That's just me though, a lot of people will disagree but I look at the S5 like a porche while the M5

  • @emanko111 the 335i is rear wheel, any BMW "X" is all wheel, what this is I don't know. The S5 is quatro, all wheel drive which is decent in the winter. I personally always thought the 3 series for BMW was for women, not men.

  • why did they compare the s5 to the 335??? the s5 has 200 on the dash... y not compare it to the m3? oh thats right... because it wouldnt be much of a comparison lol

  • @djneo216 Because the two vehicles are within the same price point.

  • @djneo216 and because the m3 is 30 grand more

  • @djneo216 M3 competes with the RS5

  • hmm... doesnt look like the kitchen to me

  • @esing6991 small penis

  • first time seen a I6 beat a V8

  • Suck it, Audi.

  • S5 vs m3 would have been more fair...

  • @ladeninlogen Not really. Rather RS5 vs M3

  • All though bmw is my favorite car brand, audi in this case is actually.. better.

  • audi was voted for having the best cars of 2011. They have the best production line right now with the fewest mistakes or mishaps. so i think audi wins

  • @DrDevil32 WHATEVER

  • this test makes no sense, how can such a small time over the total lap time make a big difference? btw the test should be repeated at least 10 times to minimize the errors of the driver.

  • BMW all the way.

  • it never lost m power rocks go to tihs bmw race dragtimes there a 458 vs m6 evopower m6 won then a x6m vs 430 bmw won

  • They both look great, but I like BMW for a reason, rwd!

  • Handling over power! hmmm. Do that in the wet with a Beemer Vs Audi! The Audi will win. Audi is better built, & more luxurious. BMW don't know whether they are a sports car or a luxury car and have sacrificed luxury and quality over sports!!!! Luxury cars are based on Audi quality..mercedes had to up their game based on Audi quality alone!!! Do your research!!.....BTW all those LED's....thank Audi.. Vorsprung Durch Technik.

  • @seanzal

Damn, what an amount of bullsh*t in your comment.

You are right, Audi build quality is better than BMW's, I notice that in my car.

On the other things you say; go to a bmw dealer and get a testdrive in 3series, preferably a 6 cylinder with 17" wheels and M-sport suspension.

It blew my mind away in terms of comfort and handling. It's a car, just testdrive! ;)

And LEDs, to be honnest I hate them. Silly styling and way too bright for ordinary citydriving.

  • @panekshops: just compare 1 Tuning Form with another! You cant compare a normal M3 with an rs5 ! You Need to compare it with the S5. You you use the rs5 than you have to use the M3 Gpower!

  • Its the package that counts most, like handling and power combined plus smooth power delivery put the BMW on top usually and here put it on top in a race albeit slightly. So there goes, full package wins.

  • @kueefs she drives very well, better than many many of mans, probably much better than you

  • 14 dissliker have datsun

  • ///M power wins over Audi

  • @kavs1996 in new rs5 vs m3 sorry mpower lost

  • @kueefs well then pull out a M3

  • Top Gear is better!

  • She can drive !

  • Is she going grocery shopping?

  • BMW is about winning races, Audi is about all weather driving! The BMW is the drivers car.

  • id rather wake up every morning to an audi s5 in my driveway than a ubiquitous 335.

  • S5 vs 335is was a better compsrison

  • the bmw is a real sorts car. the audi, not so much.

  • BMW POWER WIN!!!!!!!

  • BMW ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE!!!

  • uhm, you slap a JB3 in that 335 and it will beat the s5 by 3-4 car lengths.

  • @hjernazian JB4 will do even better!

  • BMW `POWER!!!

  • Just got my 2010 S5 Prestige and its a bad mo fo.

Mercedes and BMW have nothing on the Audi. Looks wise, the S5 is the nicest in its class. The inside is whats really amazing. The 3G MMI is amazing.

  • @nz034 As the owner of a 480 hp 335i (and my previous car being an modified Audi) I can genuinely say the the 335i is in another league when it comes to performance. I do give to nod to the Audi for looks, but the in performance department the 335i is the bad mofo

  • @fastbmwtwinturbo

How did you get 480 hp from 335i? What mods?

I heard N54 (the old 335i) can be modded to 410, I have never heard of 480.

  • @nz034 but isn't it a front wheel drive? That is the point of BMW and the reason, why people get it in the first place. Being pushed rather than pulled is a totally different driver experience. Try it out.

  • But the complet 3 series looks ugly and it has the worst image (i mean the customers) ever....

And in the reality the S5 would be faster (Autobahn performance for example)

  • seriously, she doesn`t know how to corner... that pisses me off.

  • @CaBsAuCeE LOL the 335i is wat better than the S5

  • what happened to the exhaust pipes?

  • @mousepad99 the 335i

  • And that's why BMW's are better...

  • @mousepad99 go with BMW. Classy and a great performer for sure.

  • @mousepad99 get an EVO X, much better than these two, and half the price

  • @GottfriedvonCramm its not half the price there over 30k now and no matter what way you look at it , it will never be a german car

  • well, the audi did alright, it came a close second to the bimmer. Close is not enough to win but it did come close, that's an achievement considering that bimmer is always number one and the bench mark upon which all other cars measure themselves.

  • i cant take this show seriosly if its a woman driving

  • @Blindrider01 i bet she can outdrive you

  • What was she doing out of the kitchen?

  • them bmw know to be fast this is how its goes i think Benz 1st bmw 2nd and 3rd audi

  • id still take the s5.

  • @ih8itdotcom

Wow you must've been seriously beat by an S4 to have all this rage. And my "piece of shit" 09 M3 does get driven on wet roads. As does my 2008 911 C4S. I don't own an S4.

  • i said to my friend who had the audi are dads cars should race he said mine would rape yours... ok sure look whos talking (i had the 3.35)

  • imagine what the m3 can do!

  • @ih8itdotcom Whatever pussy. How many track races have you been in? Fuck you and your piece of shit yugo you probably drive. A wet track because it's outside you fucking piece of shit moron. And because it rains outside. I really don't give a shit which car wins. So if it rains you cancel the race? And I'm the idiot? Fuck you. What are you 12?

  • @THEJTD1972 U got pwnd bro haha. take a seat.

  • @THEJTD1972 guy in the real world who races in the rain? unless your running championship races...If i know its going to rain why the fuck would i go to a track you idiot? There is something called newscast...its VERY easy to see if it is going to rain the day before or not...what are you 10??? Go race your piece of shit on wet...and crach and die...good luck with AWD cause it doesnt even mean you get 100% traction. as for me what cars do i drive? or what do i own? 00 s4, 08 335i and 04 WRX.

  • audi for the look. can never't beat BMW for performance.

  • Both great cars with a 6/100 of a second win for BMW. Try it on a wet track. Quattro would win.

  • @THEJTD1972 you fan boys can never fucking give respect...there is always a fucking excuse.."try it on a wet track" WTF do you think this is a video game? why the fuck would they race the two in a wet track......whats next? race is in the snow? Fucking idiot.

  • @ih8itdotcom Nice. Fucking fboys always make excuses.

  • @ih8itdotcom Well i'd call myself an "Audi fanboy" but truly i admit, BMW won this round. But, what if someone would but a MB to the game?

  • @ih8itdotcom who is so stupid to race on wet or even snow.

  • @dumytru12 same shit i said..if you race in wet or snow your an idiot...some audi fan boy always needs to say something to justify the audi....some ppl need to realize that THESE REVIEWS ARE COMING FROM AUTOMOTIVE EXPERTS! You feel me?

  • Comment removed

  • I'd take the Audi anyday, much more beautiful, and more luxury than the 335i. BMW do make nice cars, but they can never compete with the quattro. Audi is still the best german "all-in-one" car brand.

  • Who ever says "The s5 is meant to compete with the M3" is wrong. The RS5 is the one that is meant to compete with the M3. The s5 is meant to compete with the 335i so it is a fair test. And also im glad that the BMW won because I LOVE BMW and i also love the 335i.

  • RWD is always better then AWD. Only if its a big 4x4 then obviously AWD is better and thats why i love BMW because all there cars are RWD except for the mighty X5 which is AWD. And also RWD is more fun where AWD its too easy.

  • the s5 is supposed to be the competition for M3. wtf the 335i killed it lmao

  • audi's are all looks. with the big rims and LED lights everywhere. they look nice, but no performance to back it up. only for people who don't know anything about cars other than the physical apperance. except for the R8, the R8 is a good car.

  • @getexp27 you're jealous she can drive better then you

  • Comment removed

  • dude if 335i did that imagine what a m3 would do to the s5

  • @persiankid897 yes but surely the rs5 is equivalent to m3?

  • @persiankid897 the m3 is more of a rs5 category....

  • @persiankid897 and what a m3 would do with a rs6 ?!?!

  • @persiankid897

Well the s5 is not an m3 rival

  • @TheVtieg6 its the same price so it would be a fair comparison

  • @jwasserz

No the audi is 5k cheaper than the m3

  • @TheVtieg6 and the 335i is 10k cheaper than the s5. its a much closer comparison... I do see your point though, m3 is supposed to be a competitor to RS4, its just a much better deal then the RS4... :)

  • @persiankid897 true. but the m3 starts @72.000 + Euros

  • @persiankid897 but you can't compare a ///M3 to a pussy ass S5 :) i think it should compete with the V8 r8

  • @persiankid897 thats why there is an rs5

  • @persiankid897 m3 will compete with audi RS5!!

  • @persiankid897 First, you got to but Audi's counterpart to the M3, the RS4 against it, they you can comment again.

  • @persiankid897 imagine what would rs5 do to both of them

  • @ThePapercutsful then an m6 would still rape it

  • @persiankid897 you are so stupid, m3 is not a rival for s5, if you want to compare m3, you should get a rs5

  • yeah!!!

  • coolest soccer mom ever

  • is the 4.2 v8 in the s5, the same 4.2 v8 that is in the rs5, rs4 and the old r8 v8? just detuned a little?

  • @lobzdik Yep, its the same.

  • IDC About lap times, im not racing on the street, my Audi S5 + Bang&Olufsen Audio system+the S5 looking better, just stomps on the BMW

  • @JMGameVideos i agree 100% I think Audi buyers are a bit different than bmw ones. Most of my friends who own bmws own it because of the tradition of handling and power. I don't want to win any races. But the styling of the audi gives me goose bumps. I'd feel sweet in that car. Hell, i'd even take the base 2.0t . The designers nailed the styling and proportions of the a5/s5/ My 2cents

  • BMW is always giving out more than other cars power to power BMW wins. Even 50hp less it still wins.

  • @aleksankazakov RWD + lighter car

  • Every time I park my space gray 335i coupe w/ the nice lowered sports package suspension, I can't look away. It's drop dead gorgeous. If the E92 chassis weren't so common I think it would be more of a head turner.

Btw my meth Injection + Downpipe + Jb3 + PS2 + Quiffe LSD + BMS CAI (sound) and larger FMIC (all <$5k) 335i easily walks M3's on the track and murders c63 AMG's in a line. runs hot tho

  • @akburst510 If I bought an M3 I'd just stab myself. Finely tuned cars will ALWAYS walk over any given production cars. Wouldn't it running hot have lead you to having to get another motor?

  • @akburst510 yeah maybe a full blown tuned 335 can beat an m3, but it still does not tune the fact that you couldnt afford an m3.

  • @akburst510 @Dementedrox a "full blown tuned 335" may beat a STOCK M3, in a straight line, but in some corners, OR spend the same money on a M3, and the 335 will be blown out of the water

  • @akburst510 which btw, how much hp do you crank out of it

  • Top Gear FTW

  • atta girl vicky

  • Thumbs up if you were expecting a shoot-out :D

  • Ferrari was just for illustrating purposes :) and still 13.5... really I've raced a garrett turbo powered audi s3 with 450bhp that only pulled 13.1, with my 270bhp s3 running late 14's. also on a side note the lotus elise sat in my garage only ran a 13.6 with a book time of 14.1....

  • It was a typing mistake, thanks for bringing to attention, it should read 13.5s. Point is the book says 15s, so don't beleieve what the books say. I own a civic type-r and lexus ls430 as well, and book says both much quicker than celica, but my experience is the celica up to 130 quicker than both. After that lexus is quicker but type-r is not.

On a seperate point, forget a ferrari enzo, I'd have a nissan gtr or maybe a ford mustang selby 500 kr.

  • get audi drivers in that car

  • Demos, you are either u18 or ignorant. Serious drivers know the celica t-sport, if shifted properly, will outpace most cars up to 100mph, and the beamer I was up against was trying as he seemed most annoyed. I have done quarter mile test in 10.5 seconds, and that with two men in it. But, I can drive. If you can't drive, celica t-sport, civic type-r, nissan 370z, they not for you, stick to something boring like an accountants bmw 3 series coupe. M3 ok though I'll admit

  • Ausi S5 vs. M3!!!!!!!!!!!!!335 = not fair (but still BMW is better phahahahahahah)

  • bmw rules

    fuck audi!!

  • @robinnieuwenhuizen16 yeah FUCK audi

  • I have just returned home from a drive in my toyota celica t-sport and have had a short run in with a BMW 335i or 325i coupe (at 130 mph i couldn't decipher the middle digit). The point is, that although the BMW eventually got past me after 110 mph, from 40 mph up to 100mph, i was out acclerating the BMW in a straight line. I got past it again in traffic as he was held up, but when clear i slowed to 50mph and waited for him to come behind, floored it and again left him trailing.

  • @pleasureman01

Then it was a 325i :) A 335i is in a league on its own.

  • @pleasureman01 not a legit race, for all you know it was a grandpa in his DD and your ricer just barely "passed" him

  • @pleasureman01 BMW 335i 0-60: 5.2 seconds. Celica t-sport 0-60: 7.2 seconds. If he was really racing you, he would've destroyed you. Welcome to reality.

  • @pleasureman01 325i/323 isnt fast at all.... but it did 0-60 in 7~8 sec... the bmw inline 6 did well on above 60....

  • S5 is way more sexier on the road then 3 series. Believe it or not, see it urself and you'll agree to what i say.

  • @kinjat56 for 5k more on the BMW you can grab anyone eyes with bells and whistles that with tromp the S5

  • with human errors ... the 600th of a sec is nothing... the result means both of the cars are the same. On a different note, try to race both cars in snow, and we shell see who will win!!

  • @TheTrex0000 what a stupid argument, who gives a fuck about driving in snow you moron?

    You live in Greenland?

  • @Jarasboss How is that a stupid argument? Can you tell the difference of 10th of a sec without any electronic help? YOU CAN"T!

Oh BTW, there is snow in US too, try to watch the weather channel sometimes...

  • @TheTrex0000 of course I can't see a difference but bmw has got less power and this is what I'm talking about - BMW with r6 is better than audi with v8 thanks to great handling and balance. If I lived in a place where snow is very often I'd buy 4wd too - quattro or xdrive.

  • the audi is (no takin' arguments on this) way better looking

  • @SypherDubstep

How the hell is thinking that sexist comments are stupid and degrading being pessimist.

You need to know the meaning of words before you actually use them, it could save you a lot of embarrassment.

  • no matter what the girl has experienced ..it´s just not the same when a woman does a review of sporty cars. I can´t explain why but there is no feel to it and it probably has something to do with all other woman i meet in traffic that drives like "***holes", caring more about the makeup then the mirrors..for example. If you don´t really love engines and cars..and understand how everything works, then the passion will never be the same as for the REAL car enthusiast.. usually men.

  • she is one of the best test drivers in the world, that's why she is in Fifth Gear

  • This is not real comparation it's hard for a woman handling rear drive even in wet mode:)

  • @gac18

I don't mean handling and stuff, although I don't think either of the two is way better than the other. I'm referring to the design. Audi has been coming up with the exact same design for all their cars in the last 10 years. Half the time I can't even tell them apart, which is a shame cause the design itself isn't too bad. At least BMW's all look different although I'm not a fan of the 7 series (plain ugly), the 5-series GT (terrible) and the X1 and X3 (a big failure).

  • This program might as well compare a van with a car (both with similar p2w ratio). Then only test the handling. Obviously the car wins with regard to handling but what about the amount of luggage it can carry.

BMW has 2WD! therefore LIGHTER and in DRY conditions handles better than a Heavier 4WD/AWD system. Do the test in wet conditions however, and...well we don't know because this show seems to be for retards. Educated guess, Audi is probably much better as a dependable every-day car.

  • @Sidowse

You can argue that point about wet handling blah blah blah.... ON THE DAY the BMW with 50BHP LESS, a full 1.2 Litres LESS displacement, and 2 LESS cylinders kicked the Audi's ass round a dry track!

  • @SlashyBhoy A straight-6 such as in the BMW has a POWER-STROKE every 60 degrees. This means that the engine has both primary and secondary balancing; which makes a very "Smooth" engine. HOWEVER, because there is only 1 power-stroke every 60 degrees the crank-shaft is under a lot of torsion and is unsuitable for high-loads such as 4WD! or larger engine capacities.

The Cross-plane V8 has 2 cylinders providing power every 90 degrees. In addition the crank-shaft is shorter by two cylinders worth.

  • @Sidowse

Not that I understood any of that, but I'll give you a thumbs up since you seem to know your stuff! :)

  • @Sidowse The only think is the audi should beat the BMW in every aspect ... its an S line car that SHOULD compete with the BMW M line (or at least thats what the price says). ... the Audi S line is at least $10,000 or more than the BMW 335.

  • @Sidowse The only thing is the audi should beat the BMW in every aspect ... its an S line car that SHOULD compete with the BMW M line (or at least thats what the price says). ... the Audi S line is at least $10,000 or more than the BMW 335.

  • @SaMaster14 Yes$10,000more,but4WD costs more than2WD and the creature-comforts aren't mentioned.

It wasn't much slower than the BMW on a dry-track. In perfect conditions4WD isn't necessary, but how often are driving conditions perfect?

I would like to take the straight-6 out of the BMW and put it in the Audi to see if it is up to the job of driving all 4 wheels. If the crank-shaft breaks/twists to mess up valve- timing U know Y a v8 is needed with its shorter crank-shaft; this adds weight.

  • @SaMaster14 This fastest over the line stuff in dry conditions only is moronic.

  • @SaMaster14 Also, if the Audi loses to the BMW in the dry by a few 100ths of a second, but beats the BMW by 5 or more seconds in the wet which car is the clear winner?

  • @Sidowse But the thing is, the Audi should be killing the BMW in every respect... it has a bigger engine with more horespower, is an S-line car and is more expensive... I love Audi and all (I like all cars, don't truly have an ultimate preference yet), but the BMW just seems like a better deal.

In my opinion the A5 2.0T should compete with the 328i (which it does), the A5 3.2 should compete with the 335i (which it doesn't at all), and the S5 should compete with the M3 (which again, it doesn't).

  • @SaMaster14 "it has a bigger engine with more horespower" yes, but which would win around a track (depends on track), an SL65 or an Elise? The SL65 has much more power than the elise, but ultimately it is the weight that is the killer on performance and handling. It is for this reason i would like to see the same test on a wet track. The weight of the 4WD system being a handicap in dry conditions, but perhaps a benefit in adverse conditions.

  • @Sidowse True, but the Elise is built race-car (no real amenities in the car, just built for speed) ... barely a daily driver. The SL65 is a luxury roadster (that has a lot of power behind it... V12 and like 600+ bhp or whatever... but its weighed down and loaded with amenities for the luxury MBZ aspect (my dad has a new SL550 and my Infiniti G37S is faster off the start... but the SL is a better car and more luxurious).

And the S5 and 335 r in the same class - both luxury sport coupes...

  • @SaMaster14 I think you are assuming that acceleration is the ONLY factor when choosing a car, ignoring the fact that you are going to look like an idiot if you buy the BMW whilst happening to live in Scandinavia. The snow/ice rendering the BMW worse than walking.

  • @Sidowse And I know acceleration isn't everything... but I live in Los Angeles, CA .. weather is almost always constantly sunny and dry... plus there is traffic, no real ability to drive too crazy except on tracks or back roads etc (especially with all the cops :P).

So I guess the 335i would perform better where I live...
