  • or he beats on his shifter a lot and it's sloppy now, i have an s197 with WAY less power and a stock shifter, after bout 10k miles of abuse (got it used at 27k in good shape) it started getting sloppy, now if i want to shift even below half a second i miss shifts...sucks balls dude, either that or you were right and this guy does NOT deserve a kenne bell.

  • It's just two gauges, someone's drilled two holes in the centerpiece, and stuck the gauges in

  • depending on what kind of dyno its on will make a big difference in the numbers he puts down to the ground unless those numbers r on a mustang dyno its not real numbers in my opinion. if he put it on a dynojet it will make a crazy number like 523 rwhp but in reality its makin little over 400rwhp with mustang dyno results. Regardless of what it makes im still jealous and i hope i can get a KB on mine soon. Sweet car man

  • You can put 523 to the wheels safely if he's running 8 psi on the stock motor. Headers on a f/i set up can add up to 50 hp.

  • Follow-up question, what octane fuel are ya'll able to gas-up with? I kept my boost to 7-8 PSI, b/c I can only get a max of 91 Octane pump gas.

  • This a 2.6L KB? What do you have it pullied to? I've got my 2.6L pullied at 8 PSI, so I'm guessing 12-14 for you, or do you have some other bolt-ons? They say 15'ish HP for each PSI above 7.

  • Assuming its a 2.6L bower housing you wont hear any whine, you will out of a 2.1, or 2.2 but rarely out of the 2.6 unless your running massive amounts of boost.

  • i agree. kb are as efficient as a centrifugal. i happen to have a centrifugal in my saleen and at 120 mph, it is the same. its the low end torque that kb's exert that make them so fuckin badass ha

  • i gotta ask...now I know you are probably ford guys and I own a camaro v6 and a trans am lt1 I want to either turbo or supercharge the trans am(heard supercharging was better on the lt1) and I want the whine like the whine that was in that famous Cobra kennne belle video i think it was called snakebite....now how do i get that whine on a trans am...i have never seen or heard a supercharged fbody sound so good. on fbodies i dont even hear the supercharger..some people may like that not me. thanks

  • Camaroheat3400, If you want a good twinscrew supercharger for an LT1 that has that whine look up on Google for 'Whipple Superchargers'. They make a kit for LS1/LS2/LS6's. Yes I am a Ford guy but a local friend of mine has a T/A with a Whipple on it and it sounds pretty wicked. Awesome ride too, thing is a torque beast.

  • I should also mention that the Faster you spin a Twinscrew S/C the more whine you get out of it. Smaller pulley on the S/C make more boost and make more whine. :)

  • Well keep listening cause you wont hear one. Its a kenne bell. Kenne bell bell prides itself on making the quietest twin screw supercharger. if you want to hear a whine you have to get a eaton (roots type) or a magnacharger(hybrid roots).

  • you couldn't be more wrong, a kenne bell is one of the loudest s/c you can buy right next to whipple. and has more whine than a eaton and a magnacharger combined

  • no i am right. a magnacharger can reach over 78db!!!! i have a 06 mustang gt and a kenne bell 2.6L is being ordered for it. ITS NOT THAT LOUD!!!!! even says on there website that its whisper quiet!!!!! now if ur talk in about the bell for the 03-04 cobra then yes!!!! its very loud!!!! my mustang is on the back burner for now cause i have to finish my GST eclipse.
