Flight of the Bumblebee is just chromatic scales and a bit of arpeggios (which I'm getting tired of seeing so many kids play) but Liszt, Debussy and Mendelsohn are much,much MUCH harder to play and Umi Garret pulled all of it off beautifully! And for those tiny hands I say she's going way fast to catch up with the tempo.

This abridged version of the Gnomenreigen is incredible for an 8 year old. That first page is very tricky because of those acciaccaturas and the crossing over of hands. However, she gets the continuity of it. One day I would like to hear her play the whole work.- should be quite a treat. Brilliant talent.
