I think China will plan to reduce its population in few decades. Once China's population reaches 900 million, government may allow Chinese couples to raise a girl without question. I can't imagine 90% of population are all men, that'll be scary. I think only way for Chinese couples to raise a girl is to move overseas because population is much lower.
@CrazyNative4 Well actually they think that boys are better luck! It is said in China that girls go off with their husbands but the boys take care of the parents. They don't hate girls. China wishes they could keep every child that they had but some would rather have a boy for that reason. How do I know???? I know because I went to China and asked my mom some questions and yes I was one of these girls but they don't HATE girls.
@jandi989 they would get into trouble for having more then one child. I read this book on my history and it says some were hidden yes and some were also abandoned but some hid them or paid the price they had to pay for to have 2 kids. Some people just want all of their children so they hide them.
@jandi989 If the family had more then one kid the goverment would go and check to see so when they came they would have tohide their other kids and keep one out or none. Even walking down the streets they had to be careful that goverment people didn't see them with more then one child. They don't really do anything to hidden girls but if their caught then the family either can pay the fine or send them to a orphanage. Where do they hide them? Well really it depends on how small the girl is
