Hey, honestly dude, your into alot of sheet metal work, the box floor is gone, and the outsides, and the LR quarter panel is very rough, better off looking for another truck in better shape. Pull your drop spindals out and run, they are worth what you paid for it.

thats a 2.5 L4.. not a bad engine when there right.. i have and 89 s10 with the same engine and the same future.. i want to drop a either a 305 or a 350 in it all i need is a couple of engine mounts, and i dont know were to find them for the 2.5 conversion.

I have two of these trucks both are the suv style and my s10 blazer has a 406 stroker in it that has made a lot of guys cry when i uncork it lol my other one is a gmc s15 jimmy that is stock 4x4 4.3L vortec for now hehehehe.

Are you sure you should be doing an engine swap because I heard multiple mistakes in what you where saying....also unless you are going to go all out on the 350 engine its not going to be that fast. My 88 s-10 4.3 V6 will smoke my cousins 91 with a v-8 swap, he left it stock and it is pretty underpowered..sounds good though...good luck with it though, just get someone that knows what they are doing to help you out..lol

As for body work just do your best :) ask around! they will give you tips and stuff thats what i did. Cause im no body man. "as you can see lol" But it turned out pertty good :). As for the "flat Bumper" its called a rollPan bumper look it up. they range around 130$ - 200$ for s-10s old style.

You dont have to Cut The firewall.All i did is knocked it back. "Yes it was a Pain" But the after math looks better.also you can buy a kit that brings up the engine abit. But it doesnt look so hot. afterwards.

That's where your wrong there is such a thing as a V-4 but it's a rare engine to find the only one i've ever seen it in was a dodge dakota when i was going thru trade school dude wanted it bored and the head's shaved for more power

Well first off, when i bought the truck the guy said it was a v4 or inline 4 "what ever" and he told me it was a 2.8 so thats what i thought it was!well then i looked in the owners book that came with the truck, and yes you are right its not a 2.8 its a 2.5 but it is carb!So anyways yes i was wrong in some part. but thats how you learn.

Wow, are you serious. A V4 doesn't even make sense. First of all, if your truck is carbureted then it is a 1985 and older, not an 87. They stopped making carbureted engines in 85 for the S10. Second of all, with it being a 4 cylinder it would be a 2.5 FUEL INJECTED ENGINE!! So either you can't read the sticker in the door jam that tells you what year the truck is or your just plain confused. Either way, i think that you better do a lot more research before you even think about putting that V8 in
