I also found that if you do a triple jump (with the sparkling) off the side of a cliff or other long drop ... if you keep your finger on the jump button mario keeps doing flips all the way to the bottom of the cliff and he lands safely with no health loss

How about Vanish Cap in front of the top floors door, and if you make it to the mirror and go through it, you go into the Mirror Castle, and beating the final bowser AGAIN but in mirror mode, you get Luigi! That would be really cool!

what the top? after defeating bowser in the fire sea, he gives you a key, which leads to there. so get 8 stars,defeat bowser in the dark world, then get 22 more, go to the castle basement, open the star door ( or use blj or bunny glitch ), get past a dire dire docks level, so that you can get to bowser in the fire sea, defeat the course, defeat bowser, grab the key and that is the key you need! ( you may wanna print all this out..... lol imo )
