Hugh Laurie in English vs American accent is 2 different person to me. If House suddenly spoke as Hugh I would fall off my chair from utter shock, I just can't imagine it.
Why don't smart, funny, fair non judegemental like Stephen Fry become prime minister, this man is an absolute credit to this nation other nations must be jealous when they see the throughbreds like Stephen this country can provide to the world.
@mitziebitzie Man get your head out of your ass. No one is jealous of your economy, your violent gangs, your ridiculous amounts of surveillance and the inherent binge drinking culture, etc. Stephen Fry does not relate to you in any way, i mean, no one looks at you and says "wow he's from the same country and Stephen Fry he must be amazing!" It's the opposite, they see your attitude and laugh at your pathetic delusions of grandeur.
@mitziebitzie And believe it or not, every country in the world has many, many ppl of the calibre of Fry. But countries don't mold ppl. We're a product of much more intimate influences. And you obviously don't know how politics really works. It's not a matter of being funny, intelligent and fair, it's a matter of money and various "who-you-know" arrangements, favours, immature game playing, etc. Dude you got some growing up to do.
@Bumblybee256 Doesn't take that much thinking... What if the only thing Americans saw of Hugh Laurie is of House where he uses an America accent, they would assume he is American like most people on their TV...
One of the best guests you could ever hope to have on a chat show, and to be fair credit to Parkie for making Fry at ease. Have seen other chat shows where he was clearly bored or frustrated but Parkinson let him be himself. Am I overanalysing this perhaps......?
Hmmm. Parkinsin likes to think of himself as a national treasure, rather than the boorish, misogynistic old windbag he really is. I very much liked Stephen Fry till I followed him for a while on Twitter and found him to be unbearably smug. So, not much for me here!
I think it is probably one of the biggest tragedies of our time that Stephen Fry will (because of the ol' homosexuality) never be a father. He is absolutely the most perfect human being alive. He should adopt... Me.
@lisambofoh I think Wilde was probably wittier than even Stephen, but Fry is much more compassionate and gentle and caring. In my humble opinion Wilde was much more brilliant, but SF is the more perfect human being.
I don't control the halfway thumbnails of the videos, haha.
And how does liking spinnerette make me an idiot? :S I also like mozart, led zeppelin, ac/dc, the cure, boston, creedence clearwater revival, grand funk railroad..but because i like spinnerette i'm a moron? Judging by your username you're into quite shit music.
But please, impress me with another astounding comeback.
Mairi89, you got some negative points for that, but I have to say I get the feeling Fry would like it. After all Jonathan Ross's Houseband call themselves 'Four Poofs and a Piano'. Harmless fun.
Why are we voting down this comment? Stephen should easily be able to step up to that challenge, and it would be quite interesting to see him put his special flair behind it.
They had a whole evening spent on the theme Parkinson here in Sweden a week ago, and it was brilliant. He makes the celebrities so comfortable and open. Always a delight listening to Stephen Fry with his wit, ideas and personality. The interview was great, apart from Michael's talk. Thankyou for uploading...

I honestly believe Stephen is Oscar Wilde reborn. The ideas, way of speech, and talent is too alike for him not to be. Plus, they look so much alike.

1 You have conveniently omitted your publicly-displayed fascination with black lace panties.
2 Only an idiot would think that any and all YouTube account names are "clues to someone taste in music".
IDIOT.
