you also gotta take in consideration the Alt, batteries Ah, Voltage drop, Amps rms rating. Surface Area, Xmax, Type of Box (even if built to the perfect specs), type of Vehicle. Calculate all that up and then you'll have a more accurate answer. fyi

lol its jus called learning over the time ive been in audio its not the amout that matters but how u build ur box and how u power them. my 4 12s was in way to small a box. these 2 10s are in proper cuft with great power. boxes is ported and tuned properly, so yeah 2 10s can be louder than 4 12s man. i just didnt know wtf i was doing. everyone learns

XCodys, his new 10" AQ subs can take 4 times the power EACH than his original pioneer shallows.. Like Mike stated it is not about how many subs you have it is about the Sub itself / specs, enclosure, amp, total build quality etc.. especially when you are comparing pioneer shallows to the beefy Audioque subs. When comparing apples to apples the more subs would be louder though.
that and the specs on these subs are night and say to pioneer subs. hah u cant compare a 1500rms handling sub to a 350rms sub. plus the xmax is 3inches on this sub. that serious, not a joke around sub...plus just 2 of these was 110 pounds lmao
