@dastaylor do you sing?? do you write?? i think the songs really showed whitney vrstly skills .and the songs were good songs, lyrics and good singers . so its not a shame she got tol work wit the best in the bizz and thats still kicking
@dkang3 Apparently you are incapable of writing since your post was nearly illegible.
To answer you questions no I do not sing or write professionally. I think that the vocals on the songs I mentioned were great and it showed off two great talents. However the songs themselves were not that good in comparison to each individuals staple songs.
If you are referring to the writer of It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Ever Gonna Be then Diane Warren herself would probably say it wasn't her best.
@PsuedoSenator Agreed! lOVE your word play. Ree sounds good but WH 's part doesnt sound spectacular. I thought this song would be alot better than it was.
I'm a huge Aretha & Whitney fan but never realized it was a video for this song. This is such a crappy song for two great singers.lol I would have loved for them to do a better song. Love them two anyway!
The thing is they never actually made a video for this song. If you notice the Whitney bits are taken from her so emotional video and Aretha's appearnce is one of her videos but I don''t know which one.
Whitnsy's voice was at the height of perfection when this song was recorded.
The wierd thing to me is that neither of them actually made a video for this song this is footage from various videos of each performer edited together to match the song. Also i was disappointed the spoken dialogue at the end of the song was omitted, i thought that was a fun playful touch when the single was released
The final single released in the '80s for both artists. It was a good R&B hit, however. It would be Whitney's lowest charting single until My Heart is Calling from TPW soundtrack. It also introduces both to a New Jack Swing feel. While One Moment In Time would blend better with a track from Whitney's sophmore album, this blends more with an IYBT uptempo track.
Love It.

I don't get this song. Was it Aretha who wanted Whitney's boyfriend? Perverse.

whats this whitney houston's so emotional video and one of aretha's?

It is a shame that Whitney's duets with people like Aretha and Stevie Wonder were such terrible songs. A waste of talent all the way around.

unlike now.
