I am up in years, but have never seen this film, so thank yo so much for uploading this inspiring lesson. Beautifully portrayed is God's Love touching everyone from artist to gangster. It nudges us to remember the immeasurable love God demonstrated by sending not one of His creations to suffer, but His very own Son; Yeshua Hamashiach aka Jesus The Christ. Merry Christmas to all who seek Him in love & hope.
This movie was made the year i was born....1949.... But i loved it the 1st time i had seen it..... And the beautiful chant. OH HOW I WISH WE STILL HAD IT... I do believe and please correct me if iam wrong but i believe it the magifiicant in latin. It been a while since i took three years of latin... But in any way i thank you for posting it.. Lets hope youtube doesnt remove it. As it is no longer on dvd. Maybe if enough interest is shown maybe a re make of it will come out.
@babyycat I so agree with you.....But our church of our loving Father is changing for the good for once....Chant and Latin has returned...you just need to look for it....I'm praying that more people will come to love the Latin Chants and songs again...AND YES...I PRAY THAT YOUTUBE WON'T REMOVE THIS!!!!
Can some one tell me the proper name of the hymn that the sisters sing so often....
I am only able to get the words "Cantate et Exultate omnia" but cant find this hymn anywhere. Its very beautiful since it has the combination of both Gregorian and Polyphonic in it. Would be grateful to know the name of the hymn. Thanks :)
Thanks so much for posting this movie. I remember seeing it when I was a kid. They don't show it as often as they should at Holiday time. So many christmas movies I guess old and new.
Thank you so much for putting this movie on this site. I just watched Hollywood Christmas and there were a few movies I had never heard about. I found your site and I am so happy I did. Come to the Stable was one that I was especially interested in seeing. Thank you so much, it was so lovely and now I have another movie to add to my christmas favorite collection.
I love Lorreta Young in this role. This was a very beautiful movie. I love the ending when God touched the young man's heart.
He finally realized that his personal selfishness was preventing the sisters from building the children's hospital. The sisters were finally able to keep their promise to God. It was a very inspirational movie. Faith can move mountains and in this case build a hospital.
@catholics4unity So wonderfully put! I have always loved this movie and I believe Loretta's devotion to God enabled her to project it into her performance. She was a devout Catholic!
I just got through watching this. Thanks for posting it. I'ts one of my favorites. Ans so is, "COME NEXT SPRING". Is there any chance of uploading it, too? THANKS
I remember watching this movie as a child, and I've been looking for it for years. It's impossible to find, and it never comes on TV anymore. Thank you so much for posting it. You made my Christmas!
What a triumphant movie. The hardest of hearts, softened. In a world gone secular, any
of us can appreciate the power of faith, humility and chutspah as exemplified be these
nuns. Thank you YouTube for this treasure.
