That's the best that place has ever gotten in the last 20 years. In years 1996-1997, 2nd street had lefts that lasted half as long as these wavez on vid. A new friend took me there and I was shocked that I didn't know sooner but it just turned out to be a two year fluke. Now it's totally walled out. Funny that same guy took me to the Venice Beach South Jetty; Same thing, real good waves for like 2 years, now it's all walled out or mushed out.

@TheGreatCorneliuski Yeah, I lived right in front of that break on The Strand for four years in the late 80's, and I never saw it hold up like that. The best I ever saw was in '85 or '86 when a huge storm had it breaking *over* the breakwall, and a few surfers went out on that, but it still wasn't holding up, it would wall out fairly quickly.
