What is so ironic is that in terms of "color", which is what so many people use to spot judge others, "white" is the blending of all color into one and "black" is the total absence of color.
So White people should more properly be called "colored"! The point is, we all have over 90% of the same genetic material, any differences happened because of geography, to enable survival. And there are obvious cultural differences, but unless we are all considered "mixed race" then no-one is "mixed race"!

@freakishlypeculiar opinion, but there's no reason to be so rude about it and flat out say we're not. When I grew up, I was confused about identifying with both sides. I was more accepted by blacks and I am perfectly okay with that, but I always found myself trying find acceptance with my white side. I guess i'm just too black to be white and too white to be black. I for the most part get people assuming that I'm Spanish, but oh well.. at the end of the day, none of it really matters.

but, a mixed person that grows up in a white neighborhood is more likely to play up the fact that they are mixed, in an effort to garner more acceptance from their white peers. But a mixed black person can, and most times IS accepted as "black" by black people. But a mixed black can NEVER be accepted as white by whites. So these mixed people from white neighborhoods are usually the ones that have many complexes and yearn for a sense of belonging and eventually come to resent their black side

she is STILL ignorant to race. She thinks that just cuz someone is mixed they are completely open minded and impartial to both races/cultures. I think most white people have that assumption which is why they tend to feel more comfortable with mixed people. However, it usually has more to do with where/how they grew up than just the fact that they are mixed. If they grew up in a black neighborhood, they are way more likely to identify as black and have the disposition of an unmixed black person

If theres no racism there will still be classism, ageism, sexism, political parties, gays, aint none of us gonna be completely united and there will be no peace until Jesus comes back so to think that humans can unite and not become hateful by themsleves is arrogent and wishful thinking.
