  • @susashi your an idiot if you pause at 0:57 it says "not yet waterproof until it is don't try this in the bath tub"

  • very interesting video thanks

  • i like the little note at the end.

"Think pad is not yet water proof. Untill it is, don't try this in the bath" lmao

but i have to say i own a think pad for 8 years and it never broke down on me like nerver. words faster than most moern computers and the only upgrade i got was the windows 7 that's about it. it's briliant. with the shit i put it thrugh i'm suprised it still words this well. love it!!

  • Very enjoyable thank you

  • really informative and interesting

  • very interesting thanks

  • Actually your wrong as well and I guess you don't read...pause the end of the video and read....it's not built with water in mind and is not waterproof. All HD have to have air holes so no the hd would not be safe.....but in fresh water yes any HD can be saved if no shock occurred.

  • @MegaReddevil91 unless it's an SSD

  • @MegaReddevil91 a HD is airtight. A HD has no airholes in it. Otherwise you would get headcrashes constantly...

  • The commercial is to show that your data will still be intact even in extreme conditions, since none of you seem to know :)

  • @PhysicsTowerTeam Any computer can stand submergence in water while off as long as its fully dried before it's turned back on...

  • @MrRoomTemperature But the key is the hard drive. On or off, and at any pressure (massive tank of water) the hard drive should still be recoverable :)

  • @PhysicsTowerTeam Look, if you're in good clean distilled water you can submerge a hard disk until its metal case collapses in on itself destroying the platters. Hard disks are not vacuum sealed and your "massive tank of water" is entirely irrelevant since the laptop was only submerged to ~12-15 ft because that's how pressure works. The only thing you've actually got to worry about is dried water residue (salt, etc) on the platters.

  • @MrRoomTemperature I know. But it's mostly to prove the hard drive cage's design will help the hard drive withstand almost anything, and it is designed to make sure your data is recoverable. I'm not saying your wrong, but it was designed with water in mind, to improve the chances of the data surviving. And it's not likely you'll drop your laptop in water, or even a tank full of water (like above). But if you do, your going to pull it out quickly anyway. :)

  • Fake! And Exaggeration

  • whats with the moon suit?

  • 0:57 Think pad is not yet waterproof. Until it is, don't try this in the bathtub.

WHY DID THEY EVEN MAKE THIS COMMERCIAL

  • dumbest fuccking commercial I have ever seen

  • 0:21 FAIL!

  • good thing there wasn't 378,001 gallons of water

  • a super water cooled pc XD

  • Wouldn't like three litres submerge it?

  • This is fucking pointless.

  • lol like the ending saying "it is not waterproof yet".

  • the large suit was unnecessary.

  • you did turn in on you fags!

  • They never showed it working?

  • 378,000 gallons for a single computer?!

  • Do they really need a spacesuit and everything to go into water..

  • obviously this test is not to prove that the laptop i water proof, but to prove it can sustain an even pressure from diferent angles w/o crushing, not even the screen.

  • Why even submerge it in water if it was not waterproof at that time?

  • thats great in all but my only question is WILL IT BLEND?

  • you never turned it on, nor did you turn it on when you brought it out what is the point. if i drop my laptop in the deepest part of the ocean and somehow retrieve it, it would do the same thing this laptop did...

  • @903harman Did you see the disclaimer at the end of this ad? "ThinkPad is not yet fully waterproof. Until it is, don't try this in the bath."

  • what was the point?

they just dropped it in water and didn't even turn it on...

  • u lenovo mother fuckers have shitty ass driver organization on ur website. takes forever to find drivers.

  • ThinkPad is not yet waterproof.

Until it is, don't try this in the bath.

  • Why you use Mac for test PC

  • so does it even turn on afterwards? we never got to see

  • erm.. i cant see the point of this test - i mean where is shown that this thing is still running?

  • @MrLocalhorst it diesnt, it says so at the end.

this is just pointless crap <3

  • Read the note @ :57

  • but apples have shiny screens!

  • So why do they need to use an astronaut facility? A tub of water or pool isn't deep enough?

  • so what was the point of this?

  • @Questionssm There water Poof up to 10 feet i think lol idk :D

  • Just call me stupid, but they didn't show if the laptop still worked? Anyone can submerge a laptop. :)

  • @PhilipDK5800 Its says at the end that its not waterproof, its advertising that its spill resistant.

  • oh my Toshiba i drop it in pacific ocean and it still working even underwater

  • Now I can look at my porn under the deep blue see with my fish freinds

  • whats the point of doing this when at the end it says it is not waterproof? your wasting NASA times! they could of used it to solve the molten lava aliens from sector 12 problem!

  • @DoubleMGames its not molten lava aliens in secter 12 its secter 12 and a half

  • @bslgeorge

Your HP DV5 arent even USE-proof... because if you will use it, It will die.

  • Read at 0:57 it isnt waterproof

  • So did it still work?

  • I would lmao if they got shocked under water.

  • what do you say at 0:56 ? it-s not waterproof.. so why would you sink a laptop in wather? this is a stupid comercial..

  • This video doesn't prove anything. You can do this with any laptop, they never show if it still work.

  • wahhooo, now i can upload youtube videos, update twitter and facebook, whilst im underwater diving!!!, WHERE DO I SIGN UP

  • love at 0:20 there using a mac

  • wat a waste of 500 bucks

  • yay for mac at 0:19

  • Ugh, I hate thes mothers! My school has them with celerons in them... My old pc that ran on 98 went faster... -.-

  • He looks like Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story..... :D

  • lol it sais its not water proof yet

  • so who will do computing underwater ?

  • @andeng567567 Fish men.

  • Lol so lemmie get this straight, if i spill a tiny little paper cup on it it MIGHT survive? LOL

  • "Lenevo is not yet waterproof, but until it is, don't try try this in the bath" that's what it says at 0:57

  • This is not a Lenovo, but IBM T series

  • Yeah, because i always use my PC when i go swimming.

Can't wait for that edible PC promised by Microsoft. Bonus points if you get it.

  • jdcrispe95 - u;re a di_ck

  • I tested my 3 year old daughter underwater, unfortunately she didnt pass the test :(

  • Well at least someone can use a laptop on the moon, outside of the shuttle. Hey everyone needs "alone time"

  • @Str8pipedRanger With a solid state drive, yes. Hard drives can't handle vacuum.

  • lol

  • the add is showing how much pressure the laptop can withstand not if its waterproof or not

  • You can also submerge matches, televisions or a dog but it doesnt mean its a good idea or either of them will work after, show it turn on underwater/after.

  • anyone who owns a thinkpad realizes how stupid this commercial is.

btw, the laptop wasnt even on. What was the point of this?

  • "ThinkPad is not yet waterproof. Until it is, don't try this in the bath." wtf the ad is kinda pointless then

  • these guys have a have big problem

they have the entire commercial and then at 0:57

    they decide to tell you

    'ThinkPad is not yet waerproof

Until it is don't try this in the bath'

  • My $5 calculator can submerge 2000 feet under water. Man I dont wanna pay $1000 for a big ass calculator the can only dive like.. 9 feet.

  • This commercial is stupid. Maybe I'll get a Dell instead.

  • 0:57 fail

  • This commercial was obviously made by sky-high simpletons. It's emberrasing to all ThinkPad owners.

  • Why the fuck would they put a laptop underwater and then say it is not waterproof?

  • Dell laptop i drop a laptop into pool i pick really fast and he alive!

  • @sammaa1997 Epic FAIL at grammar.

  • This is testing how strong it is, not testing would it turn on after drop into water. Because at that pressure, most laptop would break

  • Made in China

  • At 0:21 They're using a Mac

  • @reidras Hahaha! that's true! xD

  • @reidras Can't be a mac, there is no apple logo on the back.

  • @kinkaid25 It's only a really short clip and it only show the display of the computer with Mac OS X running

  • @reidras well spot on

  • @reidras lol

  • @reidras mmmmm no...

  • @Emeengor mmmmmm, yes.... you can clearly see the apple logo in the top left corner of the screen. and also the red, green and yellow window control buttons on the window.

  • @reidras If you knew anything about computers then you would see that is it a Mac OS on a PC

  • @kontaktseistrup If YOU knew anything about computers, then you would know that it could just as easily (and more likely be) an external monitor hooked up to a Mac. No business would let its men use OSX86, they'd get sued by Apple if word ever got out.

  • @reidras its because all macs are made by with waterproofing and sealed with the semen of steve jobs himself, this is why you must never open them unless you are a certified apple genius

  • @reidras LOL

  • @reidras

    No its a Lenovo.

  • @reidras yap using MAC.... but they are testing water resistance of Lenevo Thinkpad

  • so wtf is this video saying? "hey look we put this laptop underwater" err ok?

  • @ocping basically... and they probably spend a couple thousand on this method too when they could have just gone to the kitchen sink...

  • great so now i can watch porn underwater

  • Go to 0:58 it says " ThinkPad is not yet waterproof" so its safe to assume that they just blew 1,000 destroying a laptop

  • For the people who actually paid attention to the very end, you actually see that they say it is NOT waterproof, until then, don't take a bath with it :)

  • Wait for it...

    WATER COOLING! LOLZ!

  • 0:22 LOL FTW they are using a mac!

  • @gab1971 FAIL

  • then what happened?

  • 0:58 - ThinkPad is not yet waterproof....Why tell when curious people might test it out themselves...

  • That's great.. you gave it a bath.. does the damn thing work still?

  • why submerge it in 300 thousand gallons of water? A bathtub full of water would be enough

  • @grogtgs its lenovo, they got to do everything better and bigger.........

  • was it supposed to run?

  • but can it run crysis?

  • @blobrockster Idiot, not everything in the world revolves around games. Maybe once you grow up and have to use a laptop for something besides dicking around you'll understand that. I absolutely love my T510.

  • @kiwikat dude! dont take it the wrong way! its just a joke!

  • @sparky790 they were just testing how deep can the laptop survive... For example when I dive really deep my ears got hurt now my ear should not be really really deep

  • do you really need a full size pool for that shit?

  • Completely overkill, they could've just sunk it in the tub....same effect.

  • they didnt show it turning on after they got it out of the water, and i dont think it will ever turn on again lol

  • So now you can google things like "how to escape a shark attack" while diving. Great.

  • this suit was just totally unnessecary

  • 5:56, so the test.. failed?

  • its simple!! GET A LAPTOP WET it means it is wasted!!! thats why they didnt bother to switch it on coz they know its already dead!!

  • poor T400....

    still working?

  • Retards who think that it should be turned on........ 0:56.. READ IT.

  • yeah turn it on..

  • Yeah, any computer can get soaked underwater...but how many are still able to turn on after that?

  • it's just a experiment, the results are for them to research, not for people to consider buy or not.

the vid said "lenovo spill resistant to 60cc's today", and i assume in the vid they were trying new things to make a new record.

  • It's not as if you'd go swiming with it...

  • why is not on ??

  • Cant stop laughing 0:56 at the comment on the left bottom, then whats the point buying a laptop and soaking it inside swimming pool while wearing the astronaut costume?

  • wow that must resist my man loads when i watch porno !! where can I get that laptop?

  • Now geniuses, try turning it on :D

    Betchya that wont happen :)

    Bwuahahaha. Morons..

  • LOOOL ROFL hahha

  • wow this was a really stupid test

  • yes, and they didn't even give the answer!

  • May favorite part is where it said at the last 3 seconds, this computer is not waterproof so don't try this lol

  • Comment removed

  • Cod 5 or Fallout 3 :D

  • @smellytoilet1996 fallout

  • You mean,the original fallout,1-2 ?

  • @smellytoilet1996 fallout 3

  • the ad only says it's only 60 ml waterproof...

  • @athlon866

    60 CCs.

  • aren't those the same?

    milliliter (ml)

    cubic centimeter (cc)

  • Yes, lol XD

I know that CC=ml in terms of volume, but I thought CCs had something to do with pressure. I remember "learning" that a while back but I couldn't back up my claim, so I guess it's not. But either way, the demo is to show that the laptop can survive a minor spill, but HP has a better solution. They use a funnel keyboard and basic physics- it's pretty cool if you just Google it.

  • I would def check HP out. However, thinkpad is still my favourite. I die for it. I'm sorry for my craziness for thinkpad

  • lol, I like thinkpads as well. They're nice. I kind want a Lenovo netbook, but I think I'm sticking with Asus (traveling to Germany, need something w/ 12+ hrs of battery life).

  • Mermaid computer?

  • i had my balls tested under water one time

  • @BGizzle5850 how did that test go lolz

  • why computer not run ? =(

  • 0:21 i guess they are also promoting osx86...

  • \o/

  • great!

  • At 0:20 you can see mac os x

  • haha *the thinkpad is not yet waterproof until it is dont try this in the bath* xD

  • omg they are going a little too far.

  • it was all interesting, obvious publicity stunt, but the final 'do not do this in the bath' that cracked me up.

  • at :21 they use a mac...

  • Holy shit your right! Thats messed for a windows based commercial.

  • damn your fast.

  • so...wtf this shit for? i can sink a one thousand year old laptop in the bottom and flow it back up? so....

  • lenoblow sucks
