  • best bond film

  • i love the 80's!

  • @Awgichew me too and I was born in 1990 lol

  • @ClassicTVful if not for the series' legal troubles, we would've gotten Dalton Bond flicks in '91 and '93. It would've been great seeing the storylines we might've gotten reflecting those particular times.

  • Clip edited poorly, saw iceberg at start of video. I want to hear Duran Duran and see Bond, not artic.

  • Yeah, Roger was old in 1985, but the movie still is classy. Or not?

  • @Aguz25 Movie is cheesey, but fun. But best theme ever by far.

  • Best Bond song... But unfortunately , ignoring the Daniel Craig ones, the second worst film...

  • @danguy1001 i hate daniel craig HE IS NOT JAMES BOND

  • @danguy1001 But Zorin Was An Awesome Villain And Mayday As Well

  • All my favorite Bond themes are from the 80s ( The Living Daylights, License to Kill, and A View To A Kill). This intro is awesome.

  • When this movie came out, there was alot of negative talk when people heard DuranDuran was doing the opening title music. "Not Classy enough for Bond!" they said. "Pop/Rock boys? That's not Bond music!" they said. Then in the theater, when the frame came up saying "Title song performed by DURAN DURAN" the ennnnnntire theater erupted in cheers and applause!!! It was a moment I'll never forget.

  • Roger Moore, deff had the best opening credit songs than any other bond to date

  • Composed by John Barry says it all, now I know why I loved this song for some 25 years. I never knew Mr. Barry had anything to do with this song. Your music will live on forever!!

  • This is one badass opening sequence. Love the lady in the fire paint.

  • Thx for this!

  • best bond song ever

  • @DoctorChibi740 I agree, Amy is a really nice idea for a Bond theme!

  • This song promotes the dangerous activity of dancing into fire

  • Play this on mute while playing the song "Back To Black" by Amy Winehouse.

  • Great song, but honestly, it's not one of the best Bond opening titles. The movie itself is not too bad, I liked it.

  • Christopher Walken... before all the que cards... and the cowbell.

  • I always though this song was awesome, and that the movie was heinously underrated.

  • Great film, great titles and song

  • Excellent lyrics to that song.

  • the movie was weak but the title song and sountrack were rockin!

  • This song is on top form for the Bond franchise.

  • Goddamn, those guitar licks in the second verse always give me a semi.

  • 1985 What such a year for music!!, even a not too good Bond movie, with an old fashioned Moore like this one, had a so great opening song...

  • Roger Moore, wasen't he great as Bond, he did some real exceptional films in the series, namely The Spy Who Loved Me and For Your Eyes Only

  • Best James Bond (Moore) , best Bond movie (View), best song, and sung by one the best bands ever!!!

  • this is an awesome bond song

  • damn this is one of my fav bond songs i like them all pretty much

  • best bond song ever.

  • Damn those Moore Bonds are exciting, even the lesser ones rock in fact in some ways even more so because of their distinctly weird, surreal qualities. Roger is forever my Bond.

  • best opening omg

  • dance into the fire on 1:12 it looks like the flaming girl in WOW the flaming spirit i think it was called

  • Wow, what a view! To a kill!

  • Thank the matrix I have the complete James Bond Collection due to me giving Best Buy a, how should I put it delicately, a $220.00 Stimulus Package.

  • is it just me or does this version of the song seem to be in a higher key?

  • @aliciayeahtotally i've noticed that as well maybe this tempo has a better feel related to the movie compared to the one that was for general release

  • @exsquilax yeah... more dramatic and bond-like!

  • hell of a bond theme. haven't watched this movie, but i definitely will.

  • Glow Paint!

  • best bond theme ever....

  • 80's music rock!!!! :)

  • Feel the chill?

  • Badass song, lameass movie!

  • My favourite Bond songs: 1. Live and Let Die 2. Spy Who Loved Me 3. Diamonds Are Forever 4. You Only Live Twice 5. Goldeneye 6. You Know My Name 7. Goldfinger 8. From Russia With Love Worst: 1. Another Way to Die 2. The Living Daylights 3. The Man With the Golden Gun 4. View to a Kill (sorry) 5. Die Another Day 6. All Time High
  • Horrible movie..the only saving grace (literally) was Grace Jones as May Day...I was begging for someone to push Tanya Roberts off the Golden Gate Bridge..

  • I've listened to this about 10 times today. It definitely grew on me as I didn't like it that much when I saw the movie.

  • in order:

    1-Goldeneye

    2-goldfinger

    3-A view to a kill

  • This video just screams 80s

  • THE BEST VIDEO EVER! YOU HAVE GLOW-IN-THE-DARK BITCHES!

  • This movie and Conan The Destroyer made me afraid of Grace Jones when I was a little kid back in the 80s.

  • It's playing to fast. Doesn't sound right.

  • I like how the title graphics come up, word by word, as Le Bon sings them.

  • he should have retired at Moonraker, This would have been a Dalton masterpiece

  • @Emlyn3001 oh no, roger moore is the best. his sick sense of humour is awesome. hehehe.

  • @realscience1 Good point it's not that I don't like Roger Moore, i just wonder

  • @Emlyn3001 only james bonds were sean connery, roger moore and peirce brosnan. END OF STORY!!

  • @longlivestalin1 Come on License to Kill wth Timothy Dalton was great and both the Daniel Craig ones are very good.

  • @hdf561 well, it seems sir that you like the worst bond films. what do you think of goldfinger, live and let die and golden eye? hey that rymes im a poet and i didnt even know it. oh back to the point, yeah those are some of the best . dan craig is .......^#@&..... yeah not very good.

  • This song beginning was good but after that meh.One of the worst Roger Moore Bond movie ever.

  • A View To A Kill - to kill Lim-Pek, Tai-Lau, Lau-Cheah of Pokok Assam.

  • @MachinePRISM In fact, Pokok Assam is gonna kill them. See see... "for me".?!

  • I love this film!

  • Sean Connery is the best Bond ever!!!

  • Moore's final appearance as James Bond and one of his worst.

  • Bond is the man!

  • I like how they did all the black-light effects in this opening.

  • @clarinet11 That is UV light, which reflects on many colors, but will show up blue-purple (violet)

  • I personally thought it was very interesting to see 'Ke$ha' perform a tribute to this title sequence on SNL last week!

Too bad she probably doesn't actually know about these opening titles...

  • only bond theme to reach #1.

  • @psadpoiafsdf Coolest Moore Bond movie, coolest Villan Walken!

  • moonraker is not the best, but certainly a diffferent perspective into bond's journeys... i personally would go for the spy who loved me and octopussy's soundtracks...

  • my favourite Bond song!

Great DURAN DURAN ! Tina Turner with Goldeneye comes second, and Maca with Live and let die third

  • Grace Jones used to scare me when I watched this movie as a kid.

  • and we dance into the fire...... oh how firey and dance-like....aand how I would..... yes.

  • Great Bond movie!

  • My favorite of the Bond movies.

  • true. the song transcends though.

  • Apparently you haven't seen Moonraker...

  • @DwightFry78 Moonraker is Citizen Kane-like compared to this absolute shite!

  • I beg to differ. This one, bad as it was, at least had Christopher Walken and an exciting finale on top of the Golden Gate. What was Moonraker's saving grace?

  • @DwightFry78

I think Drax was superb with his deadpan delivery of some choice lines. Best villain lines ever ..

"You arrive at a capricious moment. Your country's one contribution to civilisation ... afternoon tea."

"Look after Mr Bond. See that some harm comes to him."

    and my favourite:

"Mr Bond. You appear with the tedious inevitability of an unloved season."

Lines like that made me believe this guy was intelligent enough to design an operating stealth space station.

  • 1. License To Kill

    2. License To Kill

    3. License To Kill

    4. License To Kill

    5. License To Kill

Did I mention that Timothy Dalton was the best Bond? Seriously, he did it better than ANY of the other guys. I do love this opening sequence though. This is a great song.

  • i very strongly agree, thumbs up!

  • Hm. He was good, but not the best. I personally like Roger Moore better.

  • Dalton is second best for me, and License to Kill is probably the most underrated of the series, but still, Scotland Forever.

  • This movie is side splittingly hilarious - Tanya Roberts' acting in general, Grace Jones as she's preparing for a gallant, defiant death and the best of all.... the old Nazi doctor who 'created' Max preparing to toss the dynamite, with psychotic euphoria. Fucking genius.

  • Love how Grace Jones is 'lasered' into the opening credits.

  • @AdArmand - essentially, that is the way of stating that the magnificent Grace is the STAR of this movie.

  • @AdArmand

I've looked at this video 20 times and can't find Grace Jones. Can someone where in the video she shows up ?

  • Choose your next witticism very carefully Mr. Bond, it may be your last!

  • @chubsterbubster

... you can watch it all on TV. It's the last programme you're likely to see ...

  • My fave Bond files:

    1. From Russia With Love

    2. Licence To Kill

    3. A View To A Kill

    4. Live And Let Die

    5. Casino Royale

    I like serious Bond best.

  • mine:

    1. GoldenEye

    2. The Living Daylights

    3. Moonraker

    4. Goldfinger

    5. For Your Eyes Only

  • Roger Moore was 58 when this was filmed lol

  • still kick ass

  • 57 actually since it was mostly shot in 1984. Released in 1985.

He was 45 when he shot Live and let die.

He first played James Bond in a comedy skit from 1964 aged 37. It's here on YT

  • Maurice Binder....a genius!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Nani sore, stop criticizing. I feel every one bought their unique style. I enjoyed em all.

  • u mean george lazenby?

  • I don't think you can really compare the bonds or put them into 'classes' because everyone has their own acting style and plays bond the way they want to play him.

The only thing that you can compare bond to is the books and the films depict the books very well.

  • Exactly....

  • and one of the flaws it had was that since it was Christopher Walken who portrayed Max Zorin, there was one thing View to a Kill lacked which would've made it good: adding some cowbell

  • No, it had a shit load more flaws than that....

  • view to a kill needed no cowbell

  • @pbchrist ?????????cowbel?????????what?

  • dalton plus connery, moore (funny attitude was important at this time!), brosnan, craig (hast to to a few more) BUT lazenby was the right person for this episode "feelings were requested" > can u imagine connery being kind of soft in important moments?

  • BEST Bond of the 80s

  • @MusicNicolas Walken one bad ass Villan and actor period!

  • This song was one of the Bond songs where the titles for the film synched up perfectly with the lyrics of the song. Sadly, none of the Bond movies in the last 15 yrs have done that.

  • I remember hearing this theme when my Dad was watching the movie and singing the lyrics.. My Dad and Mum were like "how do I know the song?" I just smiled "it's Duran Duran!!" When I saw Duran live in 2005 they played this track, again a big smile "had my Dad in the back of my head" lol

  • Nice story.

  • When james bond was cool...Old ones are best ;)

  • Probably the best Bond theme of the '80s.

  • Dalton was the best Bond. He was everything that was cool about Bond all in one guy, none of the other guys had that. Had he chosen to continue the role, I think more people would have appreciated him more by now. License to Kill is still my favorite Bond film.

  • It's wierd because when I did see the Dalton movies a few years ago . . . I liked them because they were different. Of course, I needed almost fifteen years and then Spike Tv to show them for me to go - not too bad.

  • Not counting Craig because I haven't watched his movies . . . but

    1. Connery: Still the best Bond in my opinion. Sure he isn't what the books had in mind, but he worked for the movies.

    2. Bronsen: Modern day Connery.

    3. Moore: About to end his run during my childhood. Liked him more back then.

    4. Dalton: Took the character away from other Bonds. Unique, but they needed more than two years back then to reboot Bond with a polar opposite.

    5. Lazenby: Poor attempt to act like Connery

  • 1. connery--- don't need to say anything else

    2. dalton--- he looked the way ian flemming described bond in the books. that and he made bond a bastard again.

    3. brosnan---

    4. craig--- i like that his bond doesn't use all the toys. also, his bond can get his behind kicked occasionally, just like connery.

    5. moore---- he was too happy, plus he was just playing the saint.

  • no roger moore was!

  • connery was the best, but dalton was a close second. i like that he was more like the novels, than any of the rest of them. plus he made bond a badass again. roger moore's bond was almost a pansy.

  • @ad287 Very true. If Dalton would have done a View To A Kill and Goldeneye, he would have been more appreciated. It seems we Dalton fans are in the minority.

  • lots of good songs to the openings of bond movies

  • This is almost the best bond theme ever, so great

  • Number 1 Garbage fan but still admit this is the best James Bond theme.

  • a very bad bond film, but Duran Duran is fantastic

  • GENIAL H D BON GROOVING LOVELESS MUSIC

  • ohmigod orgasmic music i love this i am aving it at my wedding!!

  • at 58 roger moore was getting too old to play James Bond. he should have retired before he made this and let Sean Connery do it

  • No, Dalton should have played Bond in the last two or three Moore films.

  • I'm beginning to wonder how Dalton would of cone in For Your Eyes Only...it seems like the perfect match, though I still liked Moore in it.

  • This is HOT!

  • 1. Live and let die

    2. Goldfinger

    3. A view to a kill

    4. The man with the golden gun

    5. You only live twice

  • I love this song, its just that the opening's a bit creepy

  • My favourite openings:

    1. Casino Royale

    2. A view to a kill

    3. Die another day

    4. Quantum of Solace

  • his name is bond, james bond

  • 1 tHE SPY WHO LOVED ME

    2 LIVE AND LET DIE

    3 GOLDINFINGER

    4 YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE

    5 VIEW TO A KILL

  • 1. From Russia With Love - Matt Munro

    2. A View to a kill - Duran Duran

    3. Living Daylights - aha

    4. Diamonds are forever - Nancy Sinatra

    5. Live and Let Die - Mcartney

    6. License to Kill - Gladys knights

    7. The rest

Love the song thanks for the upload...

  • nancy didnt sing it

    ??????

  • Nancy Sinatra sang "You Only Live Twice."

  • My Top 5 Bond opening songs list:

    1. A View To A Kill

    2. The Living Daylights

    3. GoldenEye

    4. For Your Eyes Only

    5. Casino Royale

with honorable mentions for Goldfinger, Thunderball and The Man With The Golden Gun

  • GOOOOOOD list man. almost exactly what I would have said. allthough I would place goldeneye in 2nd place.

  • Les génériques de James Bond sont TOUJOURS les meilleurrs <3!

    1. " A view to a kill"

    2. " For your eyes only "

    3. " Tomorrow never dies "

And I love Tina Turner's voice in " Goldeneye ".

  • Here's my fave opening song:

    1. The living Daylights

    2. A View to a Kill

    3. Licence to Kill

  • yeah just open the sipper....

  • yeah, that's right

  • This is top 3 in songs, with LaLD and TWiNE

  • Roger Moore's final bond flick and arguably the best bond/duran duran song.

  • I won't argue you.

  • his best and final, yes

  • 1:11 is just awesome!

  • The best song after Living Daylights

  • I'll bet Duran Duran is glad they didn't get Octopussy.

  • If I was being signed up to do Octopussy I'd giggle like an idiot for a week cause I can name a song "Octopussy"

  • Roger Moore did what he could at his age, I commend him for effort. Tanya Roberts was the only one who failed hard, since Chris Walken and Grace Jones were amazing. And the song is my favorite James Bond OP theme.

  • nice film, but roger is little too old,and that disgusting black woman is terrible, but max zorin make pretty good classic villain,i can imagine pierce brosnan in this film,he would be great i think

  • I find you're very hard against this JB. Don't forget it was in 1985, and the script is quite in advance on time (electronic, silicone valley, etc...) Grace Jones is a fabulous "anti-james bond girl" , but I agree about tania Roberts which has no charism. Christopher Walken is great in this.

It's probably not the best JB, but i'd put this one just after Octopussy and Leave and let die

  • Great Song, Great Music by John Barry, BUT a truly bad flic. EVEN Roger that it was crap. Tanya Roberts was THE WORST. I screamed at the end of the movie for James Bond to drop her off the Golden Gate Bridge!!!

  • This was definitely the best Bond opening. Right around 1:10, it starts with the pimp shit. I always thought the chick doing the little hand motions was pretty cool. Maybe this wasn't the best Bond movie, but I think anybody who grew up in the 80s probably appreciates this one more than some of the others becuz it was one of the first ones they saw. Even though I know that there are others that are better, I can always watch this one. It definitely has its moments. And Tanya Roberts....yikes!

  • This is an excellent Bond film, with the best Bond actor.

  • One of the best Bond movies by THE best Bond actor. You haters have no idea what you are talking about.....oh and Christopher Walken?????

    Enough Said.

  • good thing it has a great song for its opening sequence.best part of the movie

  • so 80's :D

  • What is wrong with you people. A View To A Kill is the best Bond Movie becuse Moore was 58 when he did it. Connery should have never been hired to play the role. Anyone that does not like this movie is not a true Bond fan.

  • nah this movie sucked bad,i thought octopussy was way better, good song though.

  • I do not understand what is wrong with this Movie Roger Moore, Max Zorin, Stacey Sutton, and May Day were excellant. Explain why you do not like "A View To A Kill"!

  • hey there u r! i ddnt no this was 1 of ur vids. i'm already subbed.

  • One of the best Bond Themes in one of the worst Bond movies.
