I too have gotten pummeled by the banks (Bank of America and Chase, specifically), and I'm declaring bankruptcy soon because I don't care to fight them anymore--too much drama. I've switched to a credit union, too. We need to remember that these banks exist because millions of people use them. If we want the banks to fail, we need to quit using them. Fighting often empowers that against which we're struggling in the first place. They'll get no more money from me--that's my victory.
For a new system to be realised this one must be completly removed. We must accept that this will be a momvement akin to a revolution. The individuals that the system serves will not hand over power willingly to the system builders of the future. For humanilties sake we must take it from them.

@moccamonster , some are bad, some are good. Not all banks are evil. I've claimed bankruptcy, so no debt slave for me. Press the redo button if you can't get out!

What ideological foundation is the banking industry built upon or is it built upon more than one?
Does the banking industry function the same no matter what ideological foundation it is built upon (presuming it can be built upon more than one)?
Is the banking industry required for monetary exchanges?
Can money be eliminated? And if so, what system of exchange can be employed to satisfy human needs?
Do all nations have a banking industry? Why or why not?

I don't think the principle of banking is unncessary, but the practices they all perform are indeed nothing short of devastating.
