This was not a public event it was only for friends and family of the Air Cadets and run by the RAF
I was there giving rides in the hovercraft to these people and the organizers covered the Insurance costs. I am afraid to say the people who make claims have wasted it for everyone else this side of the pond as well.
Are those parachutes? Or are they flotation devices? Anyways, I hope that I can get started soon in a club near my home. It is just way too expensive to get into powered flight right now. I just like the control with gliders. Flew helicopters in the army. In the private sector, the costs to operate are astronomical.
The flight lasted about 5 mins and was just to give people a sample flying in the gliders

Yes parachutes or at least thats what we were told, didnt fancy jumping out anyway .
