  • I've never heard this one. I loved all his instrumentals the best.

    Thanks.

  • I always loved that there was at least 1 instrumental per album.Never a waste of digital tape for any of them. Very good emotional draw from every instrument and how much in harmony each is together. Why can't we get this type of music anymore....:(

  • Wonderful theme!

    P.S. 8 persons are deaf

  • Alan Parson's all projects are great piece of music but specially PIPELINE is something really touchy. I do agree with the importance of sound quality during recording or uploading tha's only make the difference in the eye of listner.

  • Anything by Alan is simply awesome, going back a bit now, but what compares as brilliant composition these days. Ive got everything he ever did, MAGIC, especially ripped, lol:))

  • Condivido con maryotto

  • ...love the sax in the middle...

  • E' perfetta mentre si è in viaggio..magari senza meta..magari soli..perchè è difficile trovare chi comprende e apprezza davvero certa musica...

  • @MrPino3666

Assolutamente no!! :-) Ci sta tutta!!

  • dont know why im listening to this when iown the C.D. better qual. internet makes me lazy i guess.

  • @Rawbie100 Don't blame you, I own the whole collection and still come to this, God bless Eric for contributions to the Alan Parsons Project

  • APP just great, one the best.

  • Another EXCELLENT song by the APP.........true MUSICIANS!!!

  • WHAT I ALWAY'S FOUND ASTOUNDING WAS THE SHEER NUMBER OF MASTERPIECES THE PROJECTS PRODUCED. THERE WAS NEVER A THROW-AWAY TUNE ON ANY OF THEIR LPS. CAN'T SAY THAT ABOUT MANY BANDS, EVEN THE GREAT ONES. TO THAT END, I'M STILL AMAZED THAT THE APP WEREN'T BIGGER THAN THEY BECAME.

  • @CoreaKixx420 I agree 100% simply Awesome!!

  • ¡¡¡Lindo!!

  • Geweldige saxofoon vanaf 1:47...

  • @ROSARIO24101969 stupenda...hai proprio ragione..è da chiudere gli occhi

  • meravigliosa

  • Brings back great memories of days gone by! Thinking of you Greg from New Jersey, wherever you are!

  • The best APP instrumental, period.

  • .....evergreen music!

  • well done Joe ... i like so much . greetings from Italy.

  • Great visualization to go with a great song! Good work! Thanks!

  • I like to stair @ the windmills.

  • Love this song. Always have loved Alan Parson Project!

  • So underrated!

  • Simply beautiful.

  • why is that some music just makes your brain to start working overtime. I hear the music but my braind dances with it. I dont have to do anything or anythinking...this music makes me wonder on outterspace...solid and I dont use drugs...no need for that. with these music.

  • very nice you take the shit out of life my mind is far away this planit

  • YES... THIS IS MAGIC!!!

  • Yay, APP + "alternative" energy source = bliss!

Thanks for spreading the message! :)

  • I could play this forever. So smooth and seamless.

  • alan parson is the mind of the Pink Floyd and a little parts of my fantasy!

  • @vittorio7282

Ben altra genre furono i Pink Floyd

  • @vittorio7282 no... INGEGNERE DEL SUONO nell'album :the dark side of the moon e produttore di svariati altri cantanti a livello mondiale.... gli alan parson project nacquero e morirono dopo aver composto 10 album capolavori secondo gli accordi presi da contratto con eric woolfson musicista esperto ...

  • It's the atmospheric thing about this music that I love... As a child it made me travel and live a thousand lives in a moment

  • @MaggieFloats Beautifully put, Maggie. That is exactly what it does. Another place. Another time. Perfectly.

  • @AnnHattieAnn Most of the APP instrumentals do this. It's like auditory astral projection :)

  • @JimSting Exactly. Amazing group. Amazing experience every time I listen. :o].

  • Stupenda !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Superb!

  • ok, this is boring

  • @jwalky1 ok, go away

  • @jwalky1 The video or the song, i hope you mean the video!!

  • An excellent video that definitely captures the mood of the piece. Where was the video footage taken?

  • It's my favorite band after Pink Floyd !

  • More windmills. We need to build them all over. Tall - over the trees - along the interstates. Wolfsong.com

  • grazie,joeneil69.Thank you so much :)

  • Great sound quality. Be great if all the music on the Tube had the punchy, clear separation that this choice instrumental piece of work does.

  • BRAAAVVVO.

  • Excellent job on the video!

  • @TRaddcliff - Depeche Mode's "Pipeline" has nothing to do with this APP's piece.

  • anyone know where to get a guitar pro tab of this?

  • nice song and good video you made!

  • This song is a piece of art.........and JOEneil69 thank you for your work.

  • un genio

  • i had no idea depeche mode covered this.

  • Absolutely stunning. I don't recognize the locale of the windmills, but if you need more footage I would recommend The Cabazon, Ca area. Thousands of them, large and small. Perfect for this instrumental.

  • I love this song so much that I play it almost every day...it takes me away....he is a master wizard

  • Compliments to JOEneil69!

  • Non-adjustable and non-storageable power. Though useable in some conditions. Good music by APP and nice video.

  • Have always loved this song.

  • Applied mathematics!

Gosh, it sounds so smooth and streamlined...

    Gotta love this.

  • Genial-geniales.

  • Interesting perspective, it more or less represents what the song expresses, why don't you offer this one to Alan? You could get some bucks you know

  • The beginning reminds me of Airwolf :)

  • RED HAIRED WOMAN PLEASE EMAIL ME!!!

  • Alan approve ... Kelly

  • Alan and Eric was the perfect couple, like Lennon/McCartney and Jagger/Richards. When one of the two is not there, there is simply not as good. Thats it.

  • Comment removed

  • Love that sax.

  • Very good work! I'm sure even Alan would approve. Kyle

  • This sure brings back some great memories. Thanks for posting it.

  • Ahhhh... Inner Space...

  • Condivido perfettamente :)

  • This Pipeline is way better than that surfing crap.

  • OMG Lionel.. what? 87000 visits? :-)

  • Cool instrumental...smooth sax. Thanks!

  • Great tune! Every time I hear it, I'm reminded of loneliness.

  • My favorite APP instrumental!! Always loved APP!! Too bad they were always underappreciated!! Still listen to them after all these years.

  • cool xD

  • I love you Alan Parsons!

  • ello JJ

    LOL

  • his music makes me feel good and let my soul fly

  • graciassssssssssssssssss

  • yesssssssssssssss :)

  • I wonder why everyone only praises Alan Parsons. Eric Woolfson was the songwriter, Parsons was the producer. At least 60% of the music from The Alan Parsons Project is made by Woolfson, the rest was technical addition from Parsons. Please keep this in mind.

  • Absolutely right and I loved Woolfson.

Yet as solo artist, Alan is better that Eric...

It's the neverending story of couples you can't undo in rock....

  • I read on one of the APP sites that during the early 80's, Woolfson was actually writing all the lyrics, and 90% of the music scores as well. that had to be tuff, all that pressure on one person, Eric deserves more of the fame and credit than he gets.

at least he's got his new POE musical coming out this year, that will draw some attention.......

  • Music is timeless if it touches people from all walks of life as well as all ages. Parsons is a persona grata.

  • absolutely no cold music.

hand written by the maestro himself, hand played with hand made instruments:

    many guitars, strings, sax, drums...

oh, and the video fits it perfectly and it is, becaus looking so simple, very well done.

    greetings from germany, #k.

  • Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Cold music for machines, cool music for the science..

  • What do you mean cold music, Music can't be cold if its coming from the soul.

  • Ran the legendary ' 80s, when Alan Parson those living in this extraordinary team. A huge instrumental track just an electronic equipment service. It was a music so pure, straight & mathematics, would make it a world of testimonial. Full of energy photonics, able to navigate ions, through the Outer Space& Celestial Bodies. Years later that television had produced famous serial, as Enterprise of captain Kirk, and the English UFO of commander Straker.

  • ein wunderschöner song.

  • this music energized me...it enableb me to drive non stop from my place to one of the worlds best beaches " Boracay"...straight 6hrs..non stop...well of course pipeline on my car tape deck..non stop

  • Pipeline was the song that let me become a fan of The Alan Parsons Project. Not 5, but 10 stars!

    Ciao

The Superfan og the Project Fernando Simoni

(anyone knows which album this track belongs to?)

  • JOEneil69, it's very hard to write your name, but easy to get amazed by this work!!!! You actually captured the spirit and aesthetics of the Project!!!! Thank you, this is a present. A video clip I always wanted to see, but it didn't existed, until you created it. Regards from España.

  • MAMMAGAMMA

  • In my opinion, Pipeline is better.

  • MAMAGAMMA

  • Some years ago, the local ABC affiliate here in Seattle made a video of a sailplane in flight to Pipeline that was and probably still is amazing. Maybe still in their archives. What say you, KOMO TV?

  • madooooooonna che bello!!!!

  • Parsons fan JoeNeil69 did a great job on this video! I especially like the way the sun blasted into the video right at the point of the first saxophone solo! Some of the graphic visual manipulations were cool too!

  • "Pipeline" by The Alan Parsons Project is my all-time favourite piece of music. It has been my own personal theme song since I first listened to it on my 1984 vinyl copy of the "Ammonia Avenue" record. One feature I love about "Pipeline" is the saxophone performance of Mel Collins. I was disappointed when he left The Alan Parsons Project.

  • Nice! 5 atars

  • What a perfect use of imagery to music. Very well done...I rated it a solid 5 stars.

  • Thank you for appreciate my work.

  • @LeeJack3939 i couldnt have said it beter!

  • at 1.16 they reached supremacy

the bass the drums the saxo everuthing is so perfect this is the genial touch of alan parsons

  • what happens at 1.16?

  • Indeed. Nothing special happens at 1.16! The sax doesn't appear until 1.48, or so.

  • very nice

    thanks Joe neil 69

    hs grad year?

  • hach....

  • this is.....music.

  • I love this. Thank you. Ammonia Avenue is my favorite AP album.

Heck this band had 9 different lead vocalists, and in this case, none at all! Says it all.

  • I remember seeing some video in the 80's when Pipeline was used as a backing track for footage of a Porsche 956 lapping at Le Mans.

    Was it 'In-Car 956' ? Anyone remember ?

  • Ran like the wind legendary'80s,when Alan Parson, magical sound engineer for Pink Floyd, those living in this extraordinary team.A huge piece of that time, now lives only in the labyrinth of our memory,in which the electronic service of the mind,he managed to produce a music so pure, straight and mathematics, would make it a world of testimonial. Full of energy photonics, able to navigate ions, throughout the Outer Space&Celestial Bodies, and so..Hyper Gamma Spaces on your Hyper FM radio station.

  • Brilliant stuff. Long live Alan Parsons Project.

  • Haven't heard this song in ages!

    The bomb, JOEneil69!

  • the 'alan parsons project' fantastic instrumental 'pipeline' from 'ammonia avenue' album is displayed here with the 'windmills of life' photo montage by 'JOEneil69'...nice post 5 stars*****

  • I am afraid you all might be wrong here, because Alan Parsons Project did produce videos all around the world. Also you need to all check out the band Keats, for Alan Parsons did proudce them as well. I have seen Alan Parsons all over the world...

  • Hi, noone said on this page that APP didn't do videos. It didn't do one for this song. For who's interested in official and fanmade videos go on my channel and press on top Playlists. You also find the Keats video there.

  • sO WHAT HAPPEND 2 Coldridge and Wordsworth dude?

  • Haha.. No.. Keats was here meant as an rock group/album, as wiggit said above. The album title was inspired by a London restaurant. Nevertheless I see on your channel that you like English Poetry and Classic Rock, and APP's first album was about Edgar Allan Poe. Gonna send you a couple of videos..

  • I'm only 18 and I still remember listening to this song on Ammonia Avenue cassette tape. Man, me and my dad wore that tape out..LOL..great stuff..Thanks for the upload..

  • cool melody

  • this is my favourite instrumental piece of the app

  • alan parson started in the 70's (IMAGINE) and just know presently the music industry "trys" to make music as good as this =]

  • Hi best instrumental ever. I have this album on record, but I can't find a CD version of it.

  • idk dude, i think mammagamma is his best instrumental but this is my 2nd fav. rock on AP

  • The CD will be available in expanded edition right tomorrow, on the official site and to order from shops worldwide.

  • :-(.....mi emoziona...e mi dà i brividi...

  • This is NOT 'soft-rock'.

This is a professional sound-engineer's forays into Industry Standard mixes and production-values. As well as some pretty cool songwriting and melodic content.

  • Great saxophone on 1.46.

  • absoutely amazing song form probably, the best soft rock group ever.

  • APP music is one of the best music. And this one is one of the best APP music. Salute to APP!

  • espectaculiar

  • What a great song and quality

  • aber dieser Song ist auch Hammer

  • mein Lieblingsinstrumentalssong ist in

    "the Lapse of gods"

  • if you were into high end audio in the 80's. THIS IS what you listened to. great stuff!!

  • The Alan Parsons Project is the only band to whose instrumental tracks I love to listen! I think there aren´t many groups who have truly amazing and catchy instrumental works, but TAPP certainly have! Thanks for everything.

  • Most amazing music of all time. Now I hope APP never sells out and lets some musical group use their material and recreate it.

  • Why not? It's always good to remain open to the evolutionary process. In their time, APP certainly were!

  • Expanded edition CDs are being published. And four tribute bands in the world are currently active.

  • Great Song , "The gold bug2 only is better than this , great alan parson

  • yeah, then what the hell are you doing here?

  • MaccAmemt meant that, in his opinion (and mine too actually) the best two APP instrumentals are "The Gold Bug" and "Pipeline", with "The Gold Bug" at 1st place. Others said something similar on this page, and the one of my video reply (the piano cover), where someone considers "In The Lap Of The Gods" the best APP instrumental, but anyway Pipeline one of the best if not the best.

  • yeah in your opinion

  • This song never distorts , no matter how loud you turn it up. awesome video
