Hi angel. Thanks for uploading your tutorials and tips. My little finger is broken and over extends when holding a violin bow (if you want a link to the picture, I can send it to you through pm). I'm planning on having surgery 3-4 months from now, but I want to play the violin before doing so. Will my bow hold before the surgery cause me problems once the post-surgery therapy is over? Healing time will take about a month, plus 3-6 weeks of therapy before I'll be able to hold the bow again.

ate angel. can i play a violin even though i didnt have any musical background, because im aldready 16 and i didnt even learned to play any instrument. and my mother just bought me a violin and she's pushing me too hard to study this instrument. and i'm having a hard time.

@xhyfie i started learning to play violin when i was 16. you'll really have a hard time to learn a certain instrument if you don't wish to learn it. i suggest for you to learn a musical instrument that you really want to learn how to play. at your age, it's not yet too late to learn.

I have a used violin that my grandma bought for me and the bow's horsehair seems extremely thin compared to yours. Just wondering if you can buy replacement horsehair or do you have to buy a new bow?If you can buy them, do they cost a lot and how do you put them on? Wow, that was long but I'd appreciate it if you could respond. Thanks!

@MsAnimeRocker yup you have to buy a new violin bow. violin bow shouldn't cost that much. i think you can buy one for less than $10.
