  • If you were singing "Blowin in the wind" on your folk guitar in the seventies and still like Bob Dylan today ,that says it all.

  • What is he? 70? Still smoking EVERYBODY!

  • @fripertronics

    100% agreed

  • dylan el arte total!

  • fucking ads

  • Thank you for posting this, BobDylanVEVO.

  • Robert Zimmerman is better than this guy!

  • Great song!

  • Be sure to check out Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International on Spotify!

  • @Zorayda85 How about going to the source, instead of interpretations by the mostly clueless?

  • I think of a hero as someone who understands the degree of responsibilty that comes with his freedom.

  • @mkl62 You're the second (I being first of which I'm aware) to note on youtube that freedom is inextricably entwined with responsibility. It is the effort to separate the two so one only has freedom is the core of every corruption.

  • @JNagarya This was one of Bob's quotes.

  • @mkl62 You mean you are quoting Dylan.

    Where did he say that?

  • @JNagarya This was in the Greenwood, SC newspaper, The Index-Journal in the Today in History/Celebrity Birthdays section. They always have a quote from a famous person everyday. Today (Jan. 27), it is from Wallace Stevens, American poet and author (1879-1955) who once said: "The most beautiful thing in the world is, of course, the world itself."

  • im tryin to watch bob dylan but nicki minaj "stupid hoe" is in the way. music is damn near dead guys

  • GENIUS!!!!!

  • Dug it .

  • ROCKING BOB

  • I am pobably relatrd to Dylan by blood..All his grantparents came from Turkey, where all my garantparents and relatives live..i can hear the great Turkish folk music of the region on his music..clearly it was in his blood,in his genes..Hahaha..Feels so great to be that close to him..

  • Why do people feel the need to argue on Bob Dylan videos... Get a life and enjoy his music!

  • Dave98746, Wow Dave, the only thing you've confirmed here is that you're an angry whatever you are who likes to lash out, chill dude or whatever you are. I blocked you several posts ago so why do I keep getting mail from you?

  • Why am I forced to see a mediocre shit artist like Beyonce when I'm trying to enjoy Dylan??? I'll bet Dylan does not pop up on a rap channel

  • Dave98746, You miss the point entirely but of you would. 1. I never said I didn't like his music (some of it's ok from his hippy folk era, lol). 2. I don't care why He changed his name or his religion (a self hating Jew my guess). 3. He's a has-been and still a fraud. 4. and The Last Waltz was well, just meh, sorry.

    bye Dave

  • @stationranger Your last comment just confirmed what I suspected all along. You are just another dumb redneck bigot with an IQ of a freaking moron. I am just mad at myself for trying to hold a conversation about music with you. You obviously have a brain the size of a peanut. Why does YouTube attrack all of the white trash?

  • @stationranger Dylan was never a "hippy"; you have your eras wrong. Your view is so uninformed that it's no wonder your opinion of Dylan isn't about Dylan; it's about your erronious and irrelevant illusions.

  • @JNagarya Yeah he was a hippy, (hippy folk rock artist) the era is correct and the word you missued is erroneous not "erronious". Spell check next time.

  • @stationranger Asshole: Dylan swears by Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg. They were BEATNIKS. That's 1950s. "Hippy" occurred during 1966-67. Beatniks SCORNED "Hippy".

Dylan was never a "Hippy". You have the era wrong.

Nor was Dylan a "folk rock artist" -- that's a media label for the uninformed.

Why do jerks such as you who know nothing about Dylan, or the history, nonetheless spew nonsense, then waste bandwidth arguing that the false is instead true?

  • @JNagarya You're as rude, ignorant and not worth my time, hippy lover.

  • @stationranger I agree that you lost the "argument" you started by engaging in name-calling.

Ignoramouses who persist in defending their ignorance need to be hit upside the head with a two-by-four.

Dylan is a capitalist. The Hippies were not.

  • @JNagarya You're just an empty-headed hippy lover with an attitude. Hippy lover.

  • @stationranger You're a bigot who refuses to let facts get in the way of your juggernaut ignorance.

  • @JNagarya I block pathetic losers like you for a reason, stop.

  • @stationranger I blocked you first, punk, so STFU.

  • Dave98746, I don't know about the other names you threw out there but Dylan changed his name for the same reason he changed religion. Dylan sounds better than Zimmerman, Christianity seemed better (to him at that time) than Judism (but of course your hero Bob then changed back to Judism) lol. What's next a new album entitled, 'Don't Call Me Dylan No More'?

No point in continuing this with you Dave, goodbye.

  • @stationranger So you don't like Dylan's music because he changed his name and was searching for a new spiritual meaning or religion. What' next, you don't like his music because you don't like his hat in The Last Waltz?

  • How the hell are you sooo enormous Dylan?

  • What distinguishes Bob Dylan as a celebrity (as opposed to as a musician) is his fearless refusal to try to please the media.

  • @Anlimema Music is all you have?

    Whose computer are you using?

  • There will never, ever, ever be another Bob Dylan. He is truelly one of a kind. Love you, Bobby!

  • @Katragew i agree with you completely. there is not one person out there that has such great poetry like Bobby. he is like you said one of a kind. :)

  • Tennessee is not the first place I would look for Alicia Keys but it's still a great song.

  • magnifico bob dylan por siempre

  • Coolest man of the century.

  • Ah! Robert Zimmerman ... THERE CAN ONLY BE ... ONE OF YOU ...

  • The Beatles are currently the top ranking recording artists of all time. Individually Sir Paul McCartney beats everyone in terms of number one hits and records sold. Dylan doesn't even come close (no matter how many hits he gets on youtube), sorry dude. That said, I do like this song.

  • @stationranger Number one hits and sales have nothing to do with artistry.

  • @cbchodgson When talking about the single greatest rock group ever, I doubt anyone seriously questions The Beatles "artistry". And yes number 1 hits and sales do factor into that.

  • @stationranger The sad truth is that Lady Gaga, J. Bieber and the likes are darwfing both of them.

  • @LarkSist Really? You mean as in the flavor of the month?

  • @stationranger I mean as in selling records.

    buzzfeed {dot} com /daves4/12-extremely-disappointing-facts-about-popular-mus

  • @stationranger As in The Beatles have sold about 1.3 BILLION records to date.

  • @stationranger Coca Cola have moved more units than that if numbers are your thing.

  • @stationranger The only Beatle that comes close to Bob as a singer-songwriter is George Harrison. What's great about Dylan, he doesn't bow down to the audience and put out pop tunes (e.g. McCartney). Plus, he is probably the only artist over the past 50 years to write great music in different genres: folk, rock, country, gospel, and blues.

  • @Dave897456 Harrison has a few really good songs but I wouldn't call him great. Dylan was a 60's icon and not much else. I don't get this dig against McCartney, he's only the number one artist of all time in the rock era.

  • @stationranger No offense but you are clueless! Dylan's best work has been post 60s. I suggest that you do some research before making stupid comments! Ignorance is no excuse!

  • @Dave897456 Dave you are confused, Dylan is a relic of the 60's folk era. Personally I always saw Dylan as a phony, even his name is a fraud.

  • @stationranger You are totally clueless! Based on your logic, Elton John, Tony Bennett, The Edge, Bono, Madonna, Prince, Eminem, Joey Ramone, and Al Kooper all are frauds because they don't use their birth names! LOL!

  • @Dave897456 Not to mention Jimi Hendrix :P

  • @stationranger my opinion about your words... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

  • @stationranger All this stuff is so subjective. Afterall if we consider it art, you may as well discuss what should go on a pizza. That's just as significant contribution to the world of creativity. Fact is Dylan's work can be appreciated by anybody with an honest view of themselves and the world around.

  • What an amazing video!

  • j bieber ad !! u guys serious ?!

  • Nearly 50 in the music business and he can still come up with songs like this - the man is pure genius. So glad I had the priviledge of being born in his time.

  • showwwwwwwww

  • I will see him someday in concert. I may sound creepy, but he's the one person that I'm determinded to see in person. It's hard enough to believe he existes, it's almost too amazing!

  • Not a big Dylan fan myself, I think he's overrated. However this particular song is ok.

  • @stationranger He's overrated? He's perhaps is the greatest artist of all time. His videos have less than a million views while Lady Gaga has 30 million or more. If Dylan died in 66 he would have been considered greater than the Beatles but only beacause he still continues to make songs makes people not view the fact that Dylan is a legend like none other.

  • wtf....... 30 second commercials , blow

  • Dylan forever number one!!!!

  • he is cooler now imo looks and even sounds better at 70

  • Man Bob Dylan is awesome! He inspires me so much......

  • Just to be straight, that's what I am but BD has always been my hero and favourite singer since I was 14 and now I'm 61...

  • You and me both dannachanna but I guess he's not bisexual... though you never know...

  • a true mystic.... can't belive this man is walking the planet earth somewhere right now! Hail to Bobby Dylan.

  • i always ask the same question for me too...jejejeje

  • @mrtabitha31 i always think about celebrities like that lol

  • "I wanna real good woman to do just what I say..."

    Look no further Bobbeh!

  • Vevo adds suck

  • this is a good song! love the catchy beat <333333

  • I liked this song better when it was called "Johnny B. Goode".

  • @jwatson626 Yeah its not like any other band has used a 12 bar blues format before jeeeeez; bob's such a plagiariser.

  • @5jays5 really? how? what have you written fuck face?

  • @muclesmarinara Uhh... Pal, I'm pretty sure 5jays5 was using sarcasm, he was talking to the other guy. Pretty sure he doesn't really mean Bob is a plagiarizer...

  • @xXColdaustinXx and I was using Irony so mind your own fucking business jack off!

  • @muclesmarinara Hahahaha oh your so hostile. But yes I was being sarcastic, and your trying to disguise your ignorance with irony, nice.

  • @5jays5 Something tells me he doesn't know the meaning of irony but whatever...

  • @5jays5 That's cute but I'm not Gay so I'll have to decline your offer for a date.

  • @muclesmarinara Hahahaha, and here's me thinking i've found my one true love.

  • @muclesmarinara Maybe Bob Dylan can serve as substitute. My dad told me he often "experimented".

  • @jwatson626 Your Dad said that? That guy's fucked up.

  • @muclesmarinara Yep. My dad said it, so I know it's true.

  • @jwatson626 Well you folks are an interesting group huh?

  • @jwatson626 So you're insinuating that Dylan stole Berrys famous guitar riff? Guess what? so has another 100 artists over the last 55 years.I would sure love too see Chuck Berry write lyrics like this though.

  • @41BobDylan Bob also stole the rhythm and meter of Subterranean Homesick Blues from Chuck's Too Much Monkey Business. Bob owes Chuck alot (and Chuck has a far less shitty voice).

  • @RollingOrmond Bob doesn't owe Chuck anything. If Bob owes anything to anybody that would be Woody Guthrie, he was the sole reason Dylan decided to make it in the music business. Where in any of Dylans first four albums do you hear influence from Chuck Berry? Dylan wrote folk protest songs from 1961 to 1964 and by that time he had already made his name. Sure Chuck did have an influence on Dylan but people like Guthrie, Hank Williams, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly had a far greater impact on Dylan

  • @41BobDylan If Bob Dylan could convince Chuck Berry to tune his guitar up properly, the world would have a massive debt to Mr Dylan.

  • @RollingOrmond And Chuck didn't even influence Dylan's decision to go electric either. Dylan went electric after he heard The Beatles "I Want To Hold Your Hand" on the radio.

  • @41BobDylan Unlikely. Hold Your Hand was in '63, he didn't even go electric 'till '65. More likely the Stones influenced his electric decision (hell, his first electric song was even named "Like A Rolling Stone").

And Dylan owes a TREMENDOUS debt to Berry's songwriting; he was writing original, detailed songs when Bob was still lost in Hibbing.

  • @RollingOrmond. He heard "I Want to Hold Your Hand" and when he met the Beatles in 1964 he said hey I like your song the one that says" I get high" not knowing that the lyrics were infact "I can't hide". Don't forget that he went electric in late 64 early 65 so it's only really a year and half at the most. Chuck Berry did influence him I accept that, but Woody Guthrie who was writing his own songs as far back as 1940 was a far greater influence and Dylan owes him more than anyone else.

  • @41BobDylan It was 65 at the earliest.

  • @RollingOrmond Well I said late 64 or early 65. Bringing it All Back Home was recorded in January 1965 so that isn't exactly a million miles off 1964.

  • @41BobDylan Dylan owed more to Berry's playful use of imagery in his lyrics than he did Guthrie singing about banks taking people's homes and socialist anthems.

  • @41BobDylan, no doubt, Chuck is a big influence on Bob's music - and that's a good thing! If you're gonna be influenced by someone, why not the best?

  • @41BobDylan I'm not insinuating anything. I'm just making a statement. If you like someone else's regurgitated retreads that's your prerogative, Buddy. You don't need to get all emo just because the rest of the world doesn't worship this old rickety geezer like you do.

  • @jwatson626 What, you didn't realize that rock and roll is based around simplicity and that a lot of classic riffs draw parallels to other classic riffs? And this song is NOTHING like Johnny B. Goode besides the fact that its the same key and chords structure. Berry's created a shift toward harder rock and roll, this one conveys a softer, smoother rock song.

  • @theatlantisrise You're stupid. You should learn about music before babbling like an idiot. My dad used to know Bob Dylan and he told me that he was just another poser. Yep, that's what he said, all right!

  • Comment removed

  • @jwatson626 clearly your dad gave head to alot of guys

  • @justinschmieder No, he didn't, but Dylan might have asked him to. He did say he suspected that Dylan might have dabbled with such relationships and was always talking about how beautiful John Lennon was. I'll ask him about it and let you know.

  • @jwatson626 Is that to say you don't like Dylan?

  • Or "Roll over Beethoven." Who gives a shit. It rocks. That is what´s all about .

  • Great song. Amazing at this stage of his life he can still create this terrific music. Sad that no young music artists today have come forward to take music to a level Dylan and other previous musical geniuses did. Sorry -crap today.

  • Ï"ve got the porkchop's"he sing's...and I just crack-up...Jewish humor.....

  • Hey, I worship at his feet. I see his crazy, quirky dark side, his light side, and I love him unconditionally. I love the young man at Newport. I love the older man his is today. He is just Dylan, just the coolest! Words are not enough to describe him. And I know he thinks all this is total B.S. , HA! He never gets caught in the craziness. I love him.

  • MASTER

  • always wanted to marry this guy...I guess I had my sites set a little hi huh? Dylan is the best!

  • Wish he had done more songs like this, I sure do enjoy this one.

  • So fed up with VEVO adverts! Facebook has become so commercial and lost touch with it's roots!

  • Bobby, aged to perfection!
