  • Re modes 1 and 2, I would tend to think these can be changes if need be?, In NZ mode 1 seems to be the norm, I prefer mode 2

  • what is the difference between the mode 1 and the mode 2?

    Great video!

  • @iamtherealzim

Mode1 and Mode2 differ in the way the controls are setup. Typically Mode 2 is used in the US and has the throttle channel on the left stick. Mode 1 typically is more used in Europe and has the throttle stick on the right. Basically they are set up with sticks controls opposite to each other. Always make sure you order the correct Mode that you prefer. Just think of it like cars in the UK vs cars in the US, where the sterring wheel is on oposite sides, LOL hope that helps..

  • @HobbykingLive where can i order the training cable, ive looked on the store site and i can not find it.

  • Hobby king has the parts, but they are based out of Hong Kong and a order can take 4 to 6 weeks for delivery, they didnt tell me this.

It is probably worth the extra money to save time on getting parts from a local online retailers.

  • @NoobyRC

Thanks for watching. HobbyKing is based out of HongKong. If you ordered about a month ago it was a little slower because they were in the process of moving to a new larger warehouse. They seem to be back up to speed now. I live in Missouri and I get the parts from Hong Kong in about 5 working days when I use EMS shipping. About 7 to 10 working days for standard international shipping.

    Thanks, Paul

  • Yeah i could of used this TX when i first got into the hobby instead of the ones i did use,so if anyone out there is thinking of getting a new 2.4ghz radio and is just starting out you have got to really think about this one peeps ;-) just take a look at the sweet price aswell ;-) thumbs up peeps.

  • @startazz

Thanks for watching and the cool comment startazz! i too wish i had this radio back when I was starting out. Its nice low cost and 2.4 ghz operation with no frequency crystals makes it a good starter radio.

  • yeah actually i also want to know about range!!

  • @maestrosVIP

This radio is listed a s a full range radio. Full range usually means 1 mile (1.6km). i did not test to that far but did fly out about 1500 feet with no problems. For the low low cost Hobby king offers it, i think it is a good value. Thanks.

  • @HobbykingLive Thank you for your reply. Actually 1500 is Already too much for me.

If i go further i can't see the plane :P (AXN floater jet).

And for the price, yes it's unbeatable!!!

  • @HobbykingLive can you please tell me if there is a difference in transmiter CT6B i think that is the same tranmitter with other sticker.if its a satelite receiver the signal is bigger because my receiver its not satelite

  • what about the range? does it compare to other radios?

  • @fathead431

Thanks for watching and the comment! The radio is listed as a Full Range radio and Receiver. Typically a full range system is good for up to 1 mile (1.6km) straight line distance. I did not test it it out to that full distance, but I did fly pretty far out. In my test flights I would estimate I was at least 1500 feet away. Enough for the plane to look very small. The radio performed with out a glitch at these distances. Thanks!

  • Great review Paul you are right this would be a good entry level radio for a trainer plane. For those starting out that dont want to spend alot of money this is the ticket.

  • @flyby8906

Thanks flyby8906! it is a pretty nice starter radio, especially for the low price HobbyKing is offereing it at. It would make for a great starter radio for someone just getting into the hobby.
