lmao,, I had this on 8 track as a kid, got it for a birthday I think, wore that shit out. Good to see it posted and great to give it a listen, still funny.
I actually bought this album (probably from Kmart also) at age 14 and wore it out listening to it. I'd bought it as a father's day gift but dad never got to hear it!
"The Creature Without a Head" is much prettier than a lot of songs that are supposed to be seriously romantic. If I were in the market for a wedding-reception "our song," I'd go for this one just to see how long it would take people to catch on to the subject matter.
Being out on tour together with Lenny and the Squigtones, Christopher Guest and Michael McKean came up with much of the material for This Is Spinal Tap about the being on the road.
@conagher1880 Give me half an hour. I have all the tracks. Ripped from the FLVs on YouTube. Converted to MP3. I just have to transfer them to CD. Listen carefully and you can tell it's a vinyl transfar but ask me if I care.
and I was the 9th person to buy and own this album when I was 16. My brother and I memorized every word on the album. They came up with such funny concepts. I loved this album.
I remember this. I was 10 when it came out. Great memories. My brother and I use to sing along with the album. Is it available on Cd ? Thanks for posting
Lenny and the Squigtones >>> just showin all of you awsome music can be created from teh heart while your laughing and got a smile on your face...THE ROOSTER
thanks Squigenny. this is great, I wish more people used YouTube like this. I saw them play "Creature Without a Head" on America 2-nite (rerun on Nick at Nite)
A classic send up of 50's do-wop, teen angst, horror films with theme songs, and so many other genres.

@thebleedingjeans That magical instrument, my friend, is the "Squig-o-phone", three coffee cans with a drum practice pad cemented to the top.

I had this album as a kid and played it all the time. Funny how much they sound like Tenacious D, I wonder if they inspired JB and KG.
