Love the Commodore 64 systel music on the Ariston ad...
The one thing you always think when watching those Clearasil Gel, (or any acne cream for that), advert is why don't they have people on it with acne? Even the ones with the, 'before', and, 'after', don't look like they have real acne.
My mum used to buy digestive bars as a teatime treat. When you think about it, there was something very psychedelic about those Ariston ads. As for Tetley, dropping Uncle Gaffer, Sydney and company was a huge sales blunder. They should have followed Birds Eye's example. Bird's Eye made a failed attempt to update Captain Bird's Eye but they plugged the sales drop by the old one back.
Remember the Ariston and Tetley ones quite well. Another great bunch of adverts from two decades ago.

But anyway, rant over.. Good to see these again.

It's actually scarey how modern that ariston looks today.

Great to see the Ariston ad - that was my favourite ad at the time. Patrick Allen voices for Bold.
The date is still Sunday 5th May 1991.
