LOL, AR's do take EV's into account. If you have no EV's when you "rare candy" Pokémon, than any dipshit would know that Pokémon will be weaker. Put the damn EV's into the Pokémon and then use the rare candies if you want something usable.

btw, the pokemon are really weak if you find them in the wild at lv 100. Why? they're called ev's. when you beat a pokemon that has a larger base stat than you in a certain catergory, you get on ev in that catergory, which gives you better stats.

By the way catching a level 99 is fine, It will have the same stats as a level 1 trained to 100 If you're careful (assuming the pokemon had the same IV's and natures). IV's are random numbers from 1-31 added on to each stat, Nature adds 10% onto one stat and reduces another by 10%. You can have a total of 255 Evs on one stat, and 510 across all 6 of them. 4 EVs= +1 point in that stat, you get one EV by killing pokemon, say One machop= +1 ATK EV, Gengar= +3 SPA EV.

@PurvyG Sooo If you have a level 99 and a level 1 pokemon, identical natures/IV's and give them the same EVs before the lvl 99 levels up, They will have identical stats at level 100 =] it can be quite funny to see, 'Magicarp level'd up, Attack+63'

Rare candies train the pokemon without increasing EV's, So once you've maxed them they're lovely. When a pokemon evolves it gains all the 'lost stat boosts', as its base stats change. Google for more info i'm tired XD
