One thing I will say that happened after Shao Khan won is that.. The one's killed by the Shadow Priest were brought back to life by the Elder God's because Shao Khan violated the rules of Mortal Kombat.
It was a cheesy show definitely, but it was great entertainment nonetheless. We don't get these kind of shows anymore. I wish there was at least one more season. Instead they pulled the plug and just killed off everyone.

Before the show was canceled, Midway said that this episode was all part of Kung Lao's dream. Technically, this all never happened. They wanted to continue the series of Kung Lao faces off smoke in the later episodes but was canceled.
The most fucked up ending I've seen in a TV show ever. I can understand them killing off Kung Lao, because that happens in the game's story, but killing EVERY SINGLE CHARACTER??? Without Shang Tsung, Quan Chi, Kitana, or even Reptile, what's the point of Mortal Kombat? Fuck the producers of this show. I'm glad they're getting it right with MK Legacy.

Taja was a thief who was orphaned at 12 when her parents were killed, and she lived by stealing until she was caught by Siro and kept captive by Jens father. Jen released Taja in hopes she could free Kung Lao, who was also being held captive by Jens father for attempting to have a romance with Jen. Kung Lao, Siro, and Taja were all there when Jen was murdered by Scorpion.
The MKC series are EPIC WIN, I can't describe how much I love all the episodes and the selected actors and the fighting scenes... however... the end was TOO HARSH! Come on, when I was a kid and I watched it, I cried for like hours. Shao Kahn, you filthy son a bitch! XD

@KnuckleheadSag1989 Basically it goes like this: Shao Kahn needed Raiden to be distracted from the portal long enough for Outworld and Earthrealm to merge into one realm. Once that was done, the Shadow Priests killed all major resistance since, in the lore, none could challenge their power (not strength, mind you, but real power). The next season was supposed to reveal that Kung Lao was having a nightmare/vision/whatever about what would happen if said events occurred.
Don't you see in the end that someone was walking to Kung Lao Medallion before it turns into some kind of gold.Of course i know that Kung Lao's medallion is shine, but my question is what is that mean? do you think is mean that something good is going to happen?
The series forever ends on a downer note, because the network wouldn't agree to fund a second season where everything is reversed, at least thats what was planned.
Raiden using Kahn's hammer was a touch of finesse. AWESOME SHOW, it's a pity the ending was too short... the shadow priests simply kicked all asses? I wanted to see a ton of fights, but whatever. This slaps both MK films right in the face.
I have to say as much as I hated this series and how much it tempered with the MK lore, the final scene with Shao Kahn was easily the best part, very chilling.
You have to remember scropion wants sub zero and scropion was going to help the elder gods until shinnok took over. Either way scropion would have been good.

1: this show was frickin aweome; and i read someone that someone was like why did they kill the main characters? the show took place CENTURIES b4 the original mortal kombat (why sub-zero and scorpion in it idk) but all the sorcerer's never really die; hence the century old shao kahn shang tsung, and raiden; but the main characters weren't really in the mythology xcept KUNG LAO who is LIU KANG's ancestor so,

2nd: i PRAY TO GOD that MK:REBIRTH or whatever it is DOES NOT get made..cuz it is completely unlike the story(NO MAGIC, WTF?!) i get the REALISM aspect but from a writer's perspective keep the mythology rich and don't try to throw that all out to make way for something totally different..especially reptile and baraka

The MKC series are EPIC WIN, I can't describe how much I love all the episodes and the selected actors and the fighting scenes... however... the end was TOO HARSH! Come on, when I was a kid and I watched it, I cried for like hours. Shao Kahn, you filthy son a bitch! XD

Best. Series. Finale. Ever! True to Threshold Entertainment, MK Conquest did a fare job of mucking up the established continuity and characters from the series. But this final episode really ended it all on an explosive high note. Come on! Shao Kahn wins and Earth is at the mercy of the Outworld? EPIC VICTORY!

this show was how Annihilation should have been, good acting (for no names and B movie people) good martial arts and a decent take on the story lol id be happy with the outcome either way, Raiden and Shao Kahn are 2 of the series best!!!

I thought that the series is about the Great Kung Lao's age and I thought that in the end will be the next Mortal Kombat when Goro beat him (its the original story). But i was suprised when i saw that in the end Shao Kahn wins. I couldnt believe it. But now i think this: Finally!!!! A film where the evil wins! Not the boring happy end! A suprising and unexpected ending!!!! SHAO KAHN WINS!!!!

so i guess the shadow priests kicked all asses i guess but this doesnt make sense wen tiedto the other movies. kitana is stil alive and shao khan didint go as hard as he did in this. but i digress. THIS SHOW WAS AN EPIC!!!!

@KnuckleheadSag1989 Basically it goes like this: Shao Kahn needed Raiden to be distracted from the portal long enough for Outworld and Earthrealm to merge into one realm. Once that was done, the Shadow Priests killed all major resistance since, in the lore, none could challenge their power (not strength, mind you, but real power). The next season was supposed to reveal that Kung Lao was having a nightmare/vision/whatever about what would happen if said events occurred.

Raiden using Kahn's hammer was a touch of finesse. AWESOME SHOW, it's a pity the ending was too short... the shadow priests simply kicked all asses? I wanted to see a ton of fights, but whatever. This slaps both MK films right in the face.

I have to say as much as I hated this series and how much it tempered with the MK lore, the final scene with Shao Kahn was easily the best part, very chilling.

1: this show was frickin aweome; and i read someone that someone was like why did they kill the main characters? the show took place CENTURIES b4 the original mortal kombat (why sub-zero and scorpion in it idk) but all the sorcerer's never really die; hence the century old shao kahn shang tsung, and raiden; but the main characters weren't really in the mythology xcept KUNG LAO who is LIU KANG's ancestor so,

@SimXela it was expected to kill them all, thus make way for whoever defeated shao kahn eventually...and then leads to LIU KANG and the other fighters we all know today...
2nd: i PRAY TO GOD that MK:REBIRTH or whatever it is DOES NOT get made..cuz it is completely unlike the story(NO MAGIC, WTF?!) i get the REALISM aspect but from a writer's perspective keep the mythology rich and don't try to throw that all out to make way for something totally different..especially reptile and baraka

@SimXela aside from that i would like to see a reboot because it deserves it.just not like that...but they should keep the actors playing sonya and jax (if they can fight) but they my vote for those actors portraying them...and if they do put the lead from NINJA ASSASSIN as LIU KANG & his enemy in it as KUNG LAO, that's all i gotta say...and ROBIN SHOU as SHANG TSUNG that'd be AWESOME! lol
