    Ha! :)

  • @jdmaaron22 thats what she said!

  • I wonder what happens if it takes in a cow

  • 4 people humped a train

  • wonder why they still wouldn't find a use for it today .. as those snow storms here in CO and up there in WY are nothing to laugh at.. what are they using INSTEAD of these? and would that take 3-4 engines back in 1966.. as compared to horsepower avaliable today?

  • 2:43 UNION PACIFIC BIG BOY=STEM LOCOMOTIVE

  • @zlatko780 I have a video of the Big Boy on my channel as well. It's also a video response to this video. Thanks for watching!

  • @RamblinAround Thanks for sharring this video, I have been to the museum many times back when I lived in Illinois. I miss Stlouis, I now live in Alaska..

  • @bradrahcel Thanks for watching! They could probably still use one of these up your way. The museum really is a great place to visit.

  • One of the big reasons I miss St. Louis. I miss that museum. I went there many times as a kid.

  • @djsmore It really is a cool place to visit. Thanks for watching!

  • It's a shame we can't see it working?

  • @mrbluenun I'd sure like to see it in action too. Thanks for checking it out!

  • Hi RamblinAround,

I was going to sub and invite you but can't see the right things to click on your site, sorry.

    Take care

    mrbluenunb

  • @mrbluenun There's a subscribe button at the top of each video and the top of my page. I think the "friend invite" thing is going away. Thanks for watching!

  • Obviously someone has humped a train before :P

  • ship some to europe so we don't have that bullshit every year for not even 10 cm of snow

  • You should ask the caretakers to let you get video of the inside of the beast.

  • @memadmax69 It's funny, I was just thinking the same thing. I'll have to see what I can do. Thanks for watching!

  • че это за зверь?

  • @BURBENOGTD Спасибо для наблюдать!

  • where can i find the video of that thing working

  • @2011dodgeviper Search for Rotary Snow Plow Union Pacific and you'll see one in action that is very similar.

  • Am a snowplough driver in the north east of scotland and this would be cool to see working. We had a lot of snow here last year but nothing here yet..

  • @kev07876 I'd like to see it in action myself. Thanks for taking a look at it!

  • is it in Canada or USA?

    Клевое видео!

  • @Ottonturk It's in St. Louis, Missouri in the USA.

  • so i take like the Engines are not direclty attached to the axles, but instead, they just power the blades of the plow?

  • @awfulguitarplucker Yes, it's engine drives only the blades and it has to be pushed by other engines.

  • And remember kids, NEVER hump the train!

  • The doors are way to small to be an american train

  • DO NOT HUMP...Should I explain it's weird name?

It's real meaning has to do with sorting yards built on hills and inclines.

Cars are uncoupled and freely roll down the slope into their proper sidings.

    These are called "Hump Yards".

...Yeah. I laughed too. Humping Trains.

  • @super58173 Thanks for the info, it's much appreciated. A lot of people have asked about it's true meaning.

  • @super58173 You know what's the funniest part, there were tank cars owned by the Hooker Chemicals company, and the longer ones would say, "DO NOT HUMP."

  • nice vid good job

  • @dkcicemanzzzz Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

  • "DO NOT HUMP!" LOL!

  • OMG, I was just at the museum myself, and when I saw the thumbnail for this video I had no idea that the plow I saw (the one in the video) is the same one you are looking at! Lol, I need to learn how to type better.

  • @jakeroot2 That's pretty cool that you were just there. It's an interesting place to look around. Thanks for watching my vid!

  • "DO NOT HUMP!"

Anyone feels like humping the train?

  • @MRarpegius I would! xD lol jk

  • @MRarpegius I enjoy humping cars where I work. They are very hard. LOL

  • @MRarpegius yes, but not from the front ... ;-)

  • why would anyone hump a train?

  • That's REALLY COOL, Nice video Job ! Thank You for sharing !

  • @justanotherengine Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!

  • My uncle drove an engine like this on the mid west. The day I went with him we had four other engines connected to us. I was going to say it's slow going but you covered the speed I think he said he could throw the snow close to 22 feet. It one big arche of snow in the air. I love trains and that's a day to remember.

  • Railroad: Don't #$@% the Trains... (do not hump)

  • honey youll never guss what i baught on ebay!

  • that's awesome!

  • @tchnofile Thanks for taking a look!

  • awwww so i cant have sex with it? :<

    jk

hump is a manmade hill in trainyards for sorting out cars so the reason why this car cant be "humped" is because it would ruin or destroy the vehicle.

  • What does "do not hump" mean exactly??

  • Thats just insane, thnx for the upload!

Btw what the camera you using amazing sharpness and quality.

  • @dtiydr Thanks for watching! I'm using a Sony Handycam CX-110.

  • UP has & uses one of these out of Cheyenne, Wyoming

    Video is in here somewhere

  • UP built a few of these from the ground up, not recycled diesels. None have been used in 30 years, and with the steam required for heating, may never be used again.

UP has two still on their roster, available should the snows return to the high mountains again. Too prone to break, to expensive (labor wise) to operate. Cheaper to keep trains running over the passes and using flangers to keep the tracks clear.

  • chuck norris loves to drive these down the freeway

  • thanks for that. Are there any that are still operational?

  • Dude, you're right - that is an impressive piece of equipment! Beautiful, actually.

  • IT SAYS DO NOT HUMP LOL!!

  • Thanks for taking that video. That thing is truly awesome.

  • @randommagnum Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!

  • It appears to be made from an old "B" unit. Power is probably from a 16-645 or 567 EMD.

  • What curved railway is on 3:48? Tram?

  • Someone tell me what "do not hump" means in this video. I know what it means elsewhere.

  • @Larryc206

I remember seeing that term on private cars and wondering if they all had some sick sense of humor? They did not. It means that the engine or car can not be coupled using a hump in the railyard. They get moving pretty fast coming down the hump and slam into the standing cars at the bottom.

  • lmao really massive unit.... thats what she said

  • DO NOT HUMP LOL!

  • @insaneman3000 It still makes me laugh, even though I know what it means. Thanks for watching!

  • @insaneman3000 LOL

  • @insaneman3000 OMFG NICE SOOTING LOL

  • Thanks for the video. Great closeup of the front blades. Stuff like this is so cool.

  • @jgong8638 No problem, thanks for watching. Glad you found it interesting.

  • @RamblinAround Very nice vid love the Trains

  • does that thing still run like if you used it would still be able to work

  • @bostonguy01 I'd have to ask if it would still run. It's been out of service for a good while, so I would guess not. Thanks for watching!

  • @RamblinAround well thanks for replyin to all my questions

  • hump means- A raised section in a rail sorting yard that allows operators to use gravity to move freight railcars into the proper position within the yard when making up trains of cars (that is, humping the cars). This is faster and requires less effort than moving cars with a switching engine

  • @DaveMan640 Thanks for the added info, I appreciate it. Thanks for watching!

  • WARNING! DO NOT HUMP

  • nice quality :)

and i didnt know it need 3 or 4 locos :O

  • @bwarrrrk Thanks for watching and commenting, I appreciate it!

  • nice quality :)

  • @bwarrrrk Thanks for watching!

  • @RamblinAround - Thank you for the info about the camera.

  • Nice job. Thanks. What camera were you using?

  • @youtoo12306 Thanks, it's a Sony Handycam CX-110. I've been real happy with it so far...especially for what it costs.

  • Nice job. Thanks.

  • Very cool!

  • @EricTheCarGuy Thanks for checking it out Eric. It is a pretty amazing machine!

  • @RamblinAround After watching this I spent the next half hour watching videos of it in action, very cool.

  • @EricTheCarGuy That's cool, glad I was able to point out something new for you. Thanks again for watching!

  • what happen jeff ? got enough off the cars ? into trains now? hahahaha looks good anyway!!

  • @josderedneck22 Trust me, I'll never get tired of cars, but I do find trains interesting. Thanks for watching!

  • @RamblinAround just joking buddy ! you get into mine territory! i sure like watching machines like that. its awesome!

  • I went and watched another video of this kind of thing moving snow. They really move it.

  • @scottsadventures Yep, they really sling it out of there. Thanks for watching!

  • do not hump

  • Thats massive!

  • @MartyMotorizedMayhem It is huge....thanks for checking it out!

  • That thing is a beast!

  • Thats cool I want one.

  • ive actually seen these things in actual through the frasier canyon. pretty crazy power to em.

... so did ya hump it?

  • @paradoxdesigns I thought with so many children around, it would be better if I obeyed the signs...LOL

  • your oeiginal vid was the one where i subscribed, great 2 see a follow up vid, only watch a percentage of your videos, but i know de ones i pick im gonna love, keep on truckin dude

  • @TheSenior53 Thanks for watching and commenting. I'm going to be posting more vids of trains, plows, etc here shortly. Maybe you'll see something you find interesting. Have a good one!

  • im 100% sure im not the only one who giggled at the "DO NOT HUMP" signs.

  • @roydied15 No, I'm positive you're not alone in that.

  • That thing is a beast. I mean getting hit by a train is one thing, but this oversized salad shooter is about the worst luck someone could have if they decide to cross the tracks in its way. Very stout machine.

  • @kookiemoose I really can't imagine anything worse to walk in front of. It's a pretty wild machine. Thanks for watching!

  • That's some cool stuff there Buddy!! I enjoyed it twice as much the second time!!☺

  • @805ROADKING Thanks for checking it out again. I'm glad you found it interesting!

  • do not hump??? um.....

  • ''Hump''??

  • now that looks cool

  • @yamaharules163 Thanks for checking it out!

  • You can't have your dog on the snow mover since the signs say, "Do Not Hump" all over the machine. LOL

  • @talfacprez I need one of those signs for my neighbor's cat, so maybe my dog will leave it alone....LOL

  • That's really cool, Iv never seen anything like that. Great video.

  • @TheIrishguitarguy Glad you found it interesting, thanks for watching!

  • thats some serious peice of kit

  • She's a beast for sure. I keep meaning to head out to the Washington State Railroad Museam, they have an old rotary steam powered plow on static display from the Great Northern Railway. I've got some still pics of it, but no video.

  • @pearsonba350 I thought you might find it interesting. Thanks for checking it out!

  • very interesting video...thumbs up!!!!

  • thanks for that one , enjoyed it

  • @groutaone Glad you liked it. Thanks for watching!

  • what's the new camera it looks better than mine

  • @biukucanoe It's just a Sony Handycam CX-110, but it does a really good job. I've been real happy with it so far. Thanks for watching!

  • haha dont hump do you know what that means? very cool train, i wonder if they would let me borrow it to clean my drive way haha, i liked the backgound music to nice touch keep up all the great vids

  • @nickmanji Yep, it could clean your driveway in one pass and probably throw the snow into you neighbor's yard. Thanks for watching!

  • Do Not Hump

  • holy moly!

  • @racer4560 It's pretty crazy looking isn't it. You should see the engine, it's bigger than a car. Thanks for checking it out!

  • LOL "Do not hump" Sorry, can't help but laugh.

  • @TheRackleman We thought it was pretty funny too. Thanks for watching!

  • @RamblinAround I don't even know what else that could mean! Do you know?

  • @TheRackleman If you look through the comments, someone explained it below.

  • @TheRackleman Then and now the railroads use a system they call humping to sort cars in to trains. They push cars up a hill then uncouple and shove them down the hill. Then at the bottom the have switches to sort them. And since there is no coupler to take the impact and thus no humping.

  • @Searsnut11 Thanks for explaining that to everyone....good info!

  • I had two questiosn and you answered one of them - turbocharged diesel - that was what I was going to ask and figured it was the case. Second question is for comedic value - Will it fit in my Honda?

  • @ItsDamianLOL I'm going to show a vid of the engine pretty soon. You won't believe how huge the thing is. It would be easier to fit your Honda in it, than the other way around.

  • "Do not hump"....LMAO!! OK!!!

That is an amazing piece of equipment. Whats more amazing is those blades only spin at 150 RPM..... It just seems so slow for something with 3000hp. But, it is very effective, thats for sure!

I need something like that for my driveway...LOL!

    Great vid...Thanks for sharing

  • @mbyr31 It could clean your driveway in one pass, that's for sure. Thanks for checking it out!

  • cool machine, thanks for the vid....

  • @knikula Thanks for watching!

  • Dude, thanks! that is an awesome video...

  • @rickcperry No problem, thanks for watching!

  • Awesome piece of machinery, looks heavy standing still!! I was laughing when it the sign on the ladder says "don't hump"...lol!! Me & my dirty mind...lol!! What does that mean, do you know? Thank you for sharing, very cool!!

  • @cwazmann1 Someone explained the "Do not hump" stickers in the comments below. It's a term that comes from the rail yard. It has to do with a sloped piece of track that they use for sorting freight cars and putting them onto the correct track for travel. He said this particular machine is probably too heavy for the hump track section. Thanks for watching!

  • that sucker is bad man. saweet hd video bro. HOPE THINGS ARE ROCKIN FOR YA MAN.

  • cool Brother..i love trains..except when they roll through my bedroom at 4am

  • Good thing someone explained the hump thing. I was a bit confused. Did it say what kind of engine that monster diesel is? My guess is Detroit. I have no idea why, but that's my guess.

  • @bisquik3006 It was made by GM's Electro Motive Division...a monster 16 cylinder. They also made a 20 Cylinder, 3600HP version. I'll show a similar engine up close in an upcoming video. The pistons are 8 1/2" inches across and the stroke is around 10".

  • @RamblinAround Wow, GM making a diesel without Isuzu's help. Strange, lol. I'm looking forward to that video. Vulgar displays of power are one of my favorite things.

  • impressive machine and impressive vid quality. what kind of cam are you using?
